no its not great for modding to be completely honest with you you have to work quite a bit to get a jlf in there as well as mill out the button holes to 30mm unless you're sticking with 28mm american/korean buttons. http://www.amazon.com/PS3-Fighting-Stick-V3-Playstation-3/dp/B0057WDBHA/ref=pd_sim_vg_1 you will be better off getting this. jlf is a drop in repacement with some milling of the bottom plate as well as no need to be able to make the button holes larger.
