So how do you not have problems with Rachel? Her j.A becoming an overhead again has basically caused my attitude towards the matchup to change from "lol, rachel" to "I just don't give a fuck"

How has 5B's hitbox changed? It's such a goofy looking little kick that I have a hard time believing it can be used for footsies.

200 matches is nothing. I have more than that on characters I don't even play. The fact that you freeze up in the first place is proof you aren't used to actual matches. Hell, you could have 2k matches and still freeze up from time to time if you aren't used to a particular match-up or player. Being competitive at a tournament level takes a lot of time. You're looking at people who have played since CT and have over 10k netplay matches on record.

I've had some luck with IBing her j.A/j.B pressure and throwing out 720 the moment she lands. Seeing that this requires meter, I have no idea what else you can do against Rachel's pressure... aside from CA which also requires meter. And gold bursts. Fucking j.A, man. Jump startup+j.A = 12 frame overhead. Have fun blocking Rachel's mixup. 5B>2B>5B>2B>6B jc j.A is an easily blocked string, but god help you once she starts jump canceling the 5Bs.

I'm itching to try it on a Rachel player for the lulz. Also, I am extremely salty about losing the 2C>5D gatling. That was great for keeping someone in the corner. Now we lose that... in a game which hypes up the corner as the only thing that matters? GAAAAAAAUGH. I can't wrap my mind about some of the changes done to Tager.

What do you do when he activates Mugen?

Thank you Axis, that's what I was looking for. I want to say I'm not comfortable doing mix ups often, it just feels like I get poked out of anything that isn't air tight. Also, I was hoping you'd have something for Litchi, that's the matchup I really struggle with. I don't know what Tager can do beyond punishing jump-ins.

This happened, lol. Well no, I slowly gravitated towards Tager. I love him to death. I still pick Bang on occasion, but I pretty much have no idea what I'm doing with CS Bang. Nothing from CT seems to translate. Anyway, a problem I've seen in myself is that I hover back and forth between being too hesitant and too reckless. I can block per se, but I try to stick a move out and most of the time I'll end up eating a combo. That isn't exclusive to Tager, either... I could be playing Bang and just sitting back instead of mashing dat 5A or whatever CS Bang does. Or I'll try to dash in and get blown up. I dunno. May I add you, Tempest? I know you're a much better player than I am. @Nini, mAc, etc.: Staying out of that.

If I meant the latter then the answer would be "pick top tier and be gdlk", but my question has nothing to do with any characters beside Tager. The former, at any rate.

What should I do if I feel like I've hit a plateau with Tager?

I guess the problem I was getting at is focus. Talking about it probably doesn't help much, it's just something I've noticed in my gameplay. With Jin I feel like I actually have options so I'm actively thinking, whereas with Tager I'm prone to just gluing my thumb to downback until I'm dead or the timer runs out. Maybe I should play Jin instead?

LK: When I'm playing my main (Tager), most of the time my defense is mediocre. I eat overheads, don't tech green throws, etc. Later I might pick a character who I have no idea how to play (usually Jin). Suddenly I'm blocking everything almost perfectly, and I might even do something like IB > DP out of pressure. Then I go back to my main and once again I can't block worth a damn. Can you explain why this happens? I can block well as my main, it's just inconsistent. I feel like I get lazy playing as my main, and picking a character I know nothing about keeps me on my toes. So I guess my question is, how can I make this more consistent?

Yeah... I guess I'll have to play Litchi in training mode so I can get a feel for her moves. Where specifically could I have done 360A? The guy is jumping every 2 seconds so it can be really dangerous to just throw it out. I know Axis pointed out the 6D > Itsuu... or is that the only time? Thanks for the response, guys.
