  1. I have a suggestion. When people are kind enough to make tutorial videos for example the BnB loop, could you do it in challenge mode? The button sounds would be EXTREMELY helpful for some.
  2. What does level 4 attack mean? Is there more to it than the frame change?
  3. Yeah, that is the bottleneck for me for some reason. More practice! :] Thanks for the tips!
  4. Holding 9 beforehand doesn't work for me, ever. The hardest part for me personally is to wait for the j.2A to hit and then input 9. According to yout instructions I might be doing something wrong?
  5. Would you point the times in the video for another new player please? I don't yet recognize the punish times. edit: 1:50, 1:57, 2:11 and a follow-up for 2:58 D. (yosh, I can do this!)
  6. Here's a relly vague noob question: Any suggestions for incorporating ~simple OD stuff into Hakumen gameplay? I've got a few BnB combos down at a reasonable success rate so the sensible next step would be to strike some true terror into my opponents :D To be more specific, might there be some Gurren->OD stuff to get started for example?
  7. He looks like quite a solid and clever player. There's some dropped loops but whatever. As you said, good use of 2A and 2B into gurren. Lot's of stuff to steal and learn!
  8. Thanks! I just remembered reading about the 19 tricks during CT or CS1 and couldn't find the posts anymore. My dragon punches are also really messy. Luckily I can't see the inputs in a real match! I will not try to imitate it, then
  9. Dioxide, I've been wondering about the BnB combo video where your inputs before basically any jump cancel is 169 into X. Is there some trick to it a new player doesn't see right away or is that just the inputs that works best for you? (like does it eliminate super jump with 6 or something?) Cheers! ;]
  10. brkrdave had some really creative matches yesterday in the NEC BB 3v3 finals. I hope the vods come out soon so everybody can see his tunes :3
  11. I have some trouble getting past the barrier of playing against others. I'm lucky in that there are lots of better players near me (some even quite good) but it's really hard to get anything done. Yesterday I went to a meet and was greeted by a Taokaka player whose pressure I really can't really break. I try to play Rachel even though I know she is not that easy a beginner character. I like her potential versatility and having stuff over the map gives me the illusion of control, LOL. I feel that whenever I get out of blockstrings or recover from combos I just uncontrollably start summoning items and completely forget the actually good normal moves (6A, 5B, 6B?) and then just end up on the bottom. I have practiced a few good damage combos but there hasn't really been an opening for me to execute them. It seems that under pressure I can't do rational decisions. Calmness is probably the answer and more practice ofc. This match is my holy grail where I want to be when I grow up. The Jin player might not be a very good blocker but nevermind: http://youtu.be/O3J_YPU4CRU?t=51m4s /end of wall of whine. Cheers!
  12. I have to take notes. Many notes.
  13. When was the first post wiped clean? I was just getting into Relius yesterday and thought to look for the combos I think I saw in there but oh, how empty it was :D Thanks for these you guys have put up.
  14. Would you explain this please? I'm also starting out as Rachel, finished challenge 6 today after a nice struggle. Is the 5A-dash->B.. and so on useful to master if you keep network play in mind? Seems like a risky thing to try if you have any sorts of lag, because at least for me the timing had to be pretty spot on to hit with B.
  15. As a new Rachel player I'm looking forward to this. I just hope most of will be simple and basic also for me to digest. In the meantime, were there this kind of tutorials made for CS1 somewhere?
