Depends on the airport. Heathrow and London City Airport, yes, you can. Gatwick, no, you'll have to get a regular ticket to get into London.- 38 replies

I should have been more clear. In order to safe jump OS Kagura's DP after TCL, you have to cancel your jump into TK Sentinel incredibly early on. If you do that, then you won't move far enough forward to catch his backroll. Ofc, you could mix up which one you do, and it's unlikely he will be able to tell. So it "can" pick up Kagura, but not without risk.
-
I think the most important thing to remember from what you said that them backrolling IS NOT A BAD THING. Backrolling has a long duration and it puts them closer to the corner. This is what you want as Azrael, and most characters tbh. If they're spamming backroll like crazy, then sure, go ahead and 3D that baloney. But mostly, backroll is not a bad scenario at all. Focus much more at covering Forward roll.

Scud isn't a very popular ender as it's quite an ineffective use of resources and actually gives quite poor oki compared to a regular knockdown. You can throw it out instead of BHS or 5D/6D at the end of a valiant combo easily, but it's not very good unless you're trying to make some extreme comeback. For example, your combo of; (UW) 5B > 3C > 22C > 5B > 2C > 6D > Scud does 3.5k for 50 meter and applies double weakpoints. Whereas instead, you should be doing this. (UW) 5B > 3C > 22C > 5B > 2C > 6D > 236D > 5A/5B > TCL > 3D for 4.1k meterless doubleweakpoints. You're losing 50 meter, knockdown, corner carry and 600 damage just so you can have the Scud refresh. Which is also pretty mediocre as in reality, the refresh will only give you an extra weakpoint, since you'll get one extra weakpoint from the combo anyway. Meanwhile, you could have saved that meter to get extra damage and double weakpoints off a standard combo with something like 5BB > TCL > Rapid etc.

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)
LordSpectreX replied to Hecatom's topic in Under Night In Birth
Woah Woah Woah. Let's back up a little. Now I do hate the way many grapplers are designed. Most of the time, they feel like completely crappy characters who can just capitalize against mistakes with guessing games. Fighting them usually comes down to playing as dry and lame as possible, and it's not really very fun. #1: To my knowledge, he only has one anti air command grab. And it's a super. This cuts off a large portion of possible RPS gameplay. For all we know, you can DP or perform safe actions like backdash during the superflash. It's not used that often. #2: His Command Grabs do pretty mediocre damage for grabs. They do just about over 2k damage. It's not much, considering even regular throws in this game do an average of 1.5k, along with the average meterless combo doing between 2.5-3.5k. #3: He has to spend meter to use an invincible command grab of any kind. #4: His oki off command grabs is rather pitiful, especially his standard ones. His capabilities as a grappler aren't THAT strong. The reason why Waldstein is actually strong is because of high stats, being able to keep up with most of the cast mobility wise, and good, large, space controlling moves. Oh, and being able to cut projectiles. To be honest, he plays a lot more like SF4 Zangief with Ultra 2 rather than Tager, Kira, Tomoka or a lot of other typical anime grapplers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0zHSc0GJmlE An example of Fuse Master playing. Notice how little grabs actually come into play on oki. His style is much more Blockstring>Throw than just Throw>Guessing Game>Anti-Air Throw>Guessing Game>Block blah blah like the "anime grappler" archetype usually demands. Also, this is a French Bread game. As such. Backdashes are STROOOOOOOOONG. They're a good option vs midscreen grab shenanigans. We'll mostly have to get the game and see. But I'm fairly certain that Waldstein is not UNIEL's Tager, that's for sure. -

Under Night In-Birth, PS3 release confirmed (Jul 24, 2014)

Neither Normal or Assault Jump have any landing recovery. The weakness of Assault is it's slow start-up, uncancelable normals and inability to block during it (along with increased proration on starters done from it.) The move I compare it the most too is Chizuru's 66 dash in Aquapazza. -

[CP] Hazama Gameplay Discussion [New members read first post]

After Hiren midscreen, are there any particular oki setups? I generally mash 2A where i'm standing to catch foward rolls, then 5D to catch them meaty after teching or rolling backwards. Btw, I'm pretty sure j.2C after 5C>5D~B, since they're going to be hold back, they'll be walking back and make it whiff. Though tbh, since j.B connects, you could do J.2C(w)>2B. -
Err...so what do you do off a Raw Houtenjin? I can only get 3.8k...

Vs Exonestar (Litchi) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAGJcW8YCOc& https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7XGAGpYAvK4& Vs Kiba (Valkenhayn) There's a lot more videos in this playlist if you want to see; https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPbFghbqH87Epa-ZxxqcchtQXO-leE--5 Overall, i know the basic stuff i need to do. Better confirms, execution and combo improv. Obviously it's worth doing more dynamic mixup, and ofc, block better. If you have any opinions on how I could be playing neutral better, then that would be welcome.

Hi, I wanna learn Ange more. I'm currently using Earth, is there a better non-A Button confirm than 5B>2C>236E>5D>j.C>5B>5C>2C>4BC>Oki? Thanks!

Upon Request; vs Scharl *One of our best players is a Scharl, though I haven't had a chance to fight him in LM yet, so this advice is subject to change. First off, I don't really like getting the doll to leave the case in this matchup; #1: Elf often gets swatted like a fly in this matchup, #2: Neutral is hard vs Scharl due to your lack of any kind of special mobility and short normals. Not only does (d)j.C somewhat help this, but; #3: 236C. This move is so good. Especially in a matchup like this. Since you can't get close to Scharl a lot of the time, all you need to do is jump and try to make her block 236C, then rush in. Helps out neutral lot. Especially if you use an Arcana that can zone cover even more space. There are a lot of good arcana choices. Mainly you're gonna wanna go with something that helps you deal with Scharl's extremely long pressure game or something that will allow you to vortex her to death. Good defensive arcanas would be ones with quick long range 'pokes' you help you get out of pressure and punish Scharl's normals. Things like Flower/Blossom, Metal, Sacred. Fire is good since the fireball covers a nice angle, and the extra damage+dp+unblockables cover a lot of aspects that Liese needs help in. Vortex Arcanas would be stuff like Luck, Plant, etc. Get her down once, make sure she never gets away. Stuff that you can throw out fullscreen and homing to rush in safely are good as well. Ice, Sacred etc. 4D>236C with doll stored is also really helpful for turning the tide if you can find a good opening. If the doll is deployed, try to get it to the other side of the screen as much as possible. Usually you want it somewhat near you, but Scharl's pressure will just destroy the doll safely, getting it full screen means you can do 4D>Marking to hit her, or just make her jump or do something that loosen's up her pressure and allows you to get out. All I can think of right now, I'll add more if I remember any.

[CP] Azrael vs. Tsubaki Match-up Discussion
LordSpectreX replied to zeth07's topic in Azrael Matchups
Wow, I forgot I wrote this. Kinda embarrassing lol. I'll need to research how Tsubaki works more. -
#1; 6A will work vs 5C. It still largely a guessing game that you dont really want to play. #2; Ragna is not going to be using Hell's Fang in neutral very often. It's an inferior Gustaf. Not only is Gustaf +1 as opposed to Hell's Fang's -4, but Hell's Fang is also a lot more unsafe on whiff. Hell's Fang does indeed beat it but unless your spamming Gustaf every chance you get, then he shouldn't be able to predict it. The mindgame after hell's fang is similar to Gustaf's but worse. #3; That's cool, I prefer backdash as opposed to 6A as well. Which is why I mainly recommend it for the corner. Since Ragna's typically look for you trying to do a meaty and will attempt to DP. Doing this will net you 3.8k+ in the corner. #4 Yeah, he can do dash up 5C. All it really means if you have to neutral tech. Again, Ragna's pressure forces you to be honest, but it's not actually very good. Just neutral tech and block. That's really all there is. It is a rather stressful matchup, though tbh, I find every matchup except for like...Bullet to be pretty stressful due to how heavily Azrael relies on mindgames. However, you can't act the Ragna player like a robot who somehow reacts to everything. You always need to use all your options to make him as scared as possible. Sometimes that involves just doing something simple like 2A>Block. If you make yourself predictable, even slightly, then he will just ID for free. Remember, while it's easy for him to escape our pressure, it's easy to escape his too, Ragna's pressure is very unstable. You just have to be attentive. Here's some casual games against my local Ragna. It's just house casuals so it's not the most intense play ever. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZYSI1bDT3E&t=26m20s You can see how for the first few games, I was being overly cautious and actually got blown up for it by constantly punishing my backdashes. 5A however would punish him to trying to do so. That's what this matchup is, it's just a big RNG battle. Azrael holds a better hand due to higher damage and higher HP, but Ragna is still going to mess you up if you make bad choices.
-
Pretty sure it's not accurate, since 5B>5BB has a gap even on regular block. As does 2A>2B. Edit: In fact, the gaps are often pretty huge. Ragna can ID out of 2A>2B even on BARRIER block. Though it's very tight at that point. On normal block, I find almost everything is DP outable off. Even 5A>5A. It'd be easier to say what DOESNT have a gap. x > Gustaf/Tiger 2A>5A 5A/2A > TRM But yeah the info in that section is completely wrong. I even forgot it existed.
