Well if you mean super high air throw, it probably means that you double jumped before that, so you can't jump after the throw. Like you said, the timing is very strict, i'd rather airthrow>cloud, it always hits them.

Dive canceling is a mechanic that's been into the game since CT, you do a dive, and just before hitting the ground, you cancel into another dive, since you're so close to the ground the animation will cancel, and you can do ground move. A dive>B dive super close to the ground>5D works, for example, any ground move does, even special and distortion moves, unsure about astral since the input is a clusterfuck. Thanks Mike! Lots of nerfs this time around, but with the overdrive buff Arakune might not be as weak as it seems? Alternate translation from hakimiru for the above post. Various things from this video, permutation n.r.'s animation, wich is pretty cool. 5A>2A>2C>6D>5A>6B>j.D>6D doesn't connect? Maybe the guy messed the timing. Curse lasts 8 seconds if you use 3 A bugs, 1 B bug, 2 C bugs and 2 D bugs. The second curse combo, wich did around 3~4k? Can't tell, used 1 A bug, 2 C bugs and 3 D bugs, depleting the meter in 7 seconds, we'll have to find a way around this, finding ways to use A and B bugs in combos, I'm able to in CS, but with how dive makes you bounce now I wouldn't know, oh yeah, that messes up dive cancel combos right? unless the cancel is fast enough for it to hit before they fly. Also 5D wall sticks, pretty useless I guess. Arakune has a new astral animation, also seems that it's easier to hit with? jbbs says something similar.

Yes OverDrives count as special moves apparently, the one thing I don't know is if you can deactivate OD, jbbs seems to imply you can. Also give hakimiru a medal since he's boss at translating tons of stuff -

Yes and no, in cs1 it was a complete character rehaul, so we didn't know how he'd turn out at all, I'll admit I freaked out bad back then though Now that we know how Arakune works it really looks kinda grim. The OD stuff they're talking about in the jbbs (Anything gives full curse during OD apparently) is the total opposite of what should be done imho. The changes Arakune needs right now are: No 100% curse meterless combos (specially midscreen) Shorter curse time so people don't spend 15 seconds blocking (I've been in the same place during mirrors) Bigger damage to compensate the short time of curse so Arakune could still have the same (or less) damage output, but with less chances to do so each curse. Right now the damage is too low compared with how long curse is in CP, people in the jbbs talking about only being able to deal 3~4k damage during curse This would only get matches against Arakune slow as fuck as I see them, wich would be boring. Isuna, what's Arakune's new Astral like? Does it look useful at least? -

Right now Arakune's nerfs are going overboard, it's only nerfs and nothing else, the jbbs talks about how hard it is to curse someone since they removed a lot of gatlings and links, how short curse time is and how little damage you can do during it. I know it's a loketest but it's starting to upset me. I know I'd deal with Arakune diferently, not in the bullshit "add super armor to curse" way, of course. -

Seems like you can use OverDrive outside of curse, and any D move gives you 100% curse meter during OD, wasn't OD considered a special move? is 2C special cancelable now? possible to cancel OD during a combo? No idea if it means canceling into OD or getting outside of OD. jbbs talks about being able to do j.C>OD>jD for full curse. I know these are loketests and all but I'm really getting nervious now.

I don't see why being able to take a couple of pokes during 10 seconds of "hard-earned" curse could be considered broken as fuck Take into consideration that bugs use curse meter now, so curse is also shorter. -

It could work though. Make bugs use a set aumount of curse meter, increase bug damage, add super armor and make the curse meter decrease on hit. -

For j.C to be used as a starter in a curse combo you need to buffer the summon the bugs before actually doing the j.C. For example, 3AA>summon 5CD bugs>j.C>Bugs come out, j.C can't be used in any other way unless you get a Fatal Counter.
