A little of both. Some awesome matches Jourdal is putting up. I was on the edge of my seat for Fio(Litchi) vs Mazo hime(Rachel).
-
I don't recall Kune being high tier for CS1, just an amazingly annoying mid tier. That aside, just because it would be good doesn't mean it's actually going to happen
-
It doesn't have to be that someone who was bottom tier gets to be top tier next iteration, but I don't see how it would be a bad thing that the top tier changes every time and nobody stays in bottom tier for very long. I for one wouldn't like to see a game where one character was the top no matter what, and one character is bottom tier no matter what *cough*Tager*cough*

From what I can tell, 6A > 6C > 2D > SR can actually let you catch the opponent too early, so the hitstun from j.D doesn't last long enough to let you land d.6D afterwards even if you delay a sj.D. I had the same problem; got through it by catching them as late as possible with the 66C.

For one, you can't throw cancel 6B. Just nitpicking there, but it helps to remember. I'm not entirely certain what SD is, but if you're referring to 5D, it's -23 if you stop and reload.

Noel(R-1) vs Taokaka(ESP) [First Match] Looks like we have a new combo off of 6A, it looks interesting. It looks like: 6A > 6C > Throw Whiff > 6C > 236A > 6C > j.D > d.6B > d.6C > d.5D > d.5C > d.236D
-
Guard Break > Astral. It will be glorious.
-
Neither 2D nor d.2D are safe on block. They can be reversal'd out of, or IB mashed out of.
-
For 6A > 6C > 236A, you have to be rather close to the opponent, so it helps if you dash in, then do the 6A when you're as close as you can get. You'll want to input the 236A as quickly as possible, then dash for the 6C to pick up after it. It isn't used very often for consistency reasons, but it does help to tack on a nice bit of extra damage if you can pull it off.
-
Worth noting that Makoto's j.2C cannot be punished by 5A on IB if the Mak is mashing 2A. Fortunately, you can just 2D over their 2A until they wizen up about it.

Do you mean the invul portion, or drive state? If the latter: After hitting D, Noel enters a special "drive state", that changes up her entire normal move list. You get a maximum of 4 follow up attacks + one of the special move drive enders (Bloom Trigger, Spring Raid, and Assault Through) before drive automatically ends. If you don't use one of the special drive enders or jump cancel, Noel will take a step back and briefly reload her guns before going back into her normal state.
-
According to the system guide, invul for back-dashes start on the first frame.
-
Ok, got the kara cancel. The distance traveled isn't consistent, but at least I'm getting the throw to come out 90% of the time.
-
Right-o, I'll go try that.
-
I could never get the timing for it. I'd always hit 5D~BC as quickly as I could, and ended up with just a 5D
-
For the reason why: Noel has enough trouble starting up combos as is, throwing away a hard-earned 3C by following it up with 22B spam is fairly noobish. Much better to 3C > 22(B)C into a bread and butter if you're not specifically trolling the opponent to death.

Jourdal got up another one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsvMgr0PnSM#t=9m34s GUCCI (NOEL) vs ? (Tager) @9:34 Link is straight to the Noel match
-
Just wondering, but should we really consider Assault Through's travel distance being shortened a nerf? It lowers the distance we can cross them up from, but it also gives the opponent less time to react if she's moving at the same speed.
-
It's still a combo if they don't tech Just to over-clarify, he's just pointing out that what didn't combo before, now does.
-
Are they listing any reasons why they're skipping BT? The new slide on it should allow us to get back into range before they get up, and I find it difficult to believe that they're willfully passing on the wall-carry without something to compensate.
-
Thanks, I just wanted some perspective on all of this. Having beastly heat gain is hype; I could stand being able to CA and RC more.
-
It'd probably help if we knew whether it's big damage compared to CS1 (like the 7k double Fenrir you listed above) or big compared to the rest of the cast (Noel gets 3.5k+ for her normal BnB, while everyone else floats around 2.5k)
