  1. Another 623d > 66c link is off of a 5d counter hit. CH 5d > d.6c > d.6d > d.2d> 623d > 66c > drive ender. I personally find it easier to do the link because you catch them a tiny bit higher/lower with 66c, so the timing isn't quite as strict, but it may just come down to preference.
  2. If anyone hears any weird/loud noises in the distance, sorry. I'm just a little too happy right now. With the general damage nerfs across the entire cast, I'll take what I can get.
  3. I thought that was Loketest 4
  4. No Phantom Breaker for the PS3 (at least not announced), CS2 is the only thing I got to look forward to. Here's to hoping that Tao and Makoto don't prove to be the new Rachel, and Noel gets the buffs that they said they'd give her.
  5. Guess I'm gonna be playing Sion then
  6. One thing I'm wondering about is just how much 4k mid-screen is compared to the rest of the cast, since there's supposed to be a general damage nerf across the board (outside of corners). Is the 4k a huge leap above everyone else, or just 200-300 dmg extra?
  7. Edit: DSM beat me to it.
  8. Meh, I was thinking the much simpler 3C > 22BC > 66C > 5D > d.6B > d.5C > j.D > 6D > 236D, the one that most every Noel player first learns. That and I didn't read the "midscreen" portion of the post /Edited for clarification on combo
  9. Or he could mean "mashing" in that he was just randomly throwing unsafe stuff like 3c out and somehow managing to get them to land. Raw 3C into her BnB does get 3.8k right now, so maybe he got 4.2k off of some corner combo?
  10. Thinking about signing up for the ScrubZero Test Tournie, but my internet connection sucks. Would that be a problem?

  11. Is it possible that the frame data got changed on some of the characters, but it was just too slight for people to notice? Like Ragna's 5A has +1 more frame advantage on block or something? /edited for grammar
  12. Leaves you to wonder why the rest of her normals, or at least her A attacks, don't have better frames, considering how short ranged/small hit-box they are. I'm personally hoping that they buffed the frames on her normals in the loctests and it's just that no-one noticed.
  13. Ah, I'd mostly forgotten that 6A can be gatling'd out of. I'm gonna remain neutral about the j.4D change until I see it though, I can't find any videos of it so I have no idea how fast/crossovery it is now. *shutting up about this topic before the thread derails too much
  14. If they're crouching we can just gattling into 2c > 3c > 22bc > stuff, which deals more damage, carries further towards the corner and gains more heat. My point still stands.
  15. Which is better than her current 5A > 2B > 6A > 6C > Stuff because...?
  16. Tao's still gonna call her Lacking Lady though...
  17. It's true that it's going to take a while before everyone figures out all the changes, but it doesn't help my morale when Noel gets some minor buffs and loss of her more damaging combos in the beginning, then isn't even touched for the last 2 loctests. Here's to hoping the buffs we got make up for it. Edit: According to Arcadia, her normals are getting buffed and her drive is going to "become better at dodging stuff". Regardless, I am happy with CS2 now .
  18. Just be certain to keep changing up your drive strings if they keep blocking it (being it stop and reload or using different attacks). Drive isn't safe to begin with, being predictable only makes it worse.
  19. So 6D's only purpose is to stop opposing pressure now? What's the point then when you can just wait for a bigger gap since all the other counters deal damage?
  20. I'm more interested in the Makoto count. From what I've read it's just been a solid wall of nerfs to her so far. P.S. The Noel count is apparently up to 3 so far.
  21. And everyone left to play her is now considered a drive spammer *sigh* Can i haz gud normals plz?
  22. Must... Resist... Urge... to make bad joke...
  23. One thing you can do is condition the opponent to think that you're going to 6B on wake-up every time. When you think they're going to use something like ID or Jayoku, you run up to them and start blocking. Ideally they'll get up, use their DP, and you get a nice free combo on them. If they get up and start blocking, then you're back to a neutral game, but with you in range to use 5A. I've never run into someone who tries to jab on wake-up if they have a DP, so someone else will have to fill you in on that. When you do throw out 6B and they block it, you do have the option to go right into 5D. There's enough of an opening for them to jab you out of it, so it's still a typical Noel risk/reward move. /Edited for non-fail engrish
  24. Really? Always seemed more like a 9.5-0.5 to me, Dustloop's got it bad on that one.
  25. And then the world came to an end, as all Smash wins are a loss for all humanity.
