That quote made up for you showing up late:lol:
-
lol, ya, but GV is amazing against players who don't know how to block XD and in america the closest thing to being neo in a fighting game is knowing the match-up when your opponent doesn't:kitty:
-
On another note; I'm going to be at NL for skillionaire this friday, GG casuals anyone?(since I missed out on TSB casuals since I arrived late, then after tourney Mahvel took over).
-
Also, if you pay the full fee of $10,they stamp your hand. ------ I'll be down for skillionaire on the 20th, so I'll bring a copy of GG and an extra ps2 if necessary, if anyone's interested. Is it just me or is GG actually slowly growing?

Quite a superb tutorial, can't wait for the next one.

Sol-badguy: Sol's game-play consists of mainly rush-down aspects, so just about all of his damage is dealt up close. He's probably the most average character in the cast and is easy to learn, but as you progress into higher levels of play it's imperative to learn character specific sidewinder loops, which do very good damage but take a bit of time to perfect on each character. He has a couple of very useful normals and specials like 5K and VV, but he can be a very high risk/low reward character if some moves are use recklessly like GV and his overdrives for example(you should basically never use his overdrive moves unless it's for the win). If you are seriously thinking about picking up this character, I would suggest visiting:http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?3523-Sol-Badguy-101-ver.-Accent-Core Well, I only play sol, I hope this is good enough, not sure if it's to in/un-depth, should I add a notation legend? I think It'd be a good idea to provide a link for each character's sub-forum at the end of the quick description, unless you want the readers to refer to the rest of the site. I'd also suggest adding youtube links of tutorials for the specific char and also provide recent matches involving good players using said char(If it's not too much to ask:kitty:).

When you lose focus, block...

You guys should just hover around the character specific stickies. once you read the overview of each character in their respected sub-forum I'm sure you can condense it into a paragraph, here's Sol's overview to get you started; http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?3523-Sol-Badguy-101-ver.-Accent-Core

Just pick a character that you enjoy playing, if you pick a top tier character just because they're top tier you won't have any fun and it's not like you'll never win if you pick a mid/low tier character, for example look at a player like RF, he plays faust who is like mid to high mid tier, but RF as a player is easily one of the best players in the world (imo), so just remember; in fighting games (and games in general) it's not the character who wins, it's the player. Players like RF and Roi win because they have such a thorough understanding of the game mechanics not because they use top tier characters(which they don't). GG as a game is not as tier restricted as most other games imo. Again; just pick a character you enjoy playing

Wait, so who else plays gg and won't be at NL on fri.because of marvel?, marvel...*sigh
-
So anyone else down for NL fri. or sat.?, there should be a scheduled TSB training session the week before each event:kitty:
-
well, gundam vs ex. casuals would work I suppose
-
Gundam vs extreme added to the TSB tourney roster:thumbu: Anyone gonna be down at NL this friday or saturday? I've actually been practicing and it would be nice to play someone other than comp-potemkin.
-
So close...sorry guys, can't make it...*sigh:sad:
-
Team tourneys...
-
I might as well start lookin for a partner now:rolleyes:...so who wants to be team scrub+1 with me?
-
It would probably be best if someone made a check-list of game discs, systems, etc....I can bring a copy of gg, a ps2 and my namco for those in need of a decent ps2 stick. I just don't want to bring everything if its not going to be needed.

name: Squared Location: Oceanside, NY Contact: DL Chars: Others games: SFA2 So who's not gonna be at comic-con this weekend? I'd be down for some casuals fri or sat if anyone else is.
-
What would you guys think of alternating from 1v1 / 2v2 every other tournament?
-
I've actually been liking 1v1 style, I just hate the feeling when a team wins and 1 of the team-mates did basically all the work while the other did just about nothing, even if that scrub is me, it still feels bad...just my opinion (I also hate letting my team-mate down)
