Yeah, GGs to Eric and Rob. Been a long time since I enjoyed BB that much and it felt good to grind out matches. Now I have some direction again so I guess I'll be in the lab a bit more. :P

Yeah, ggs to everyone I played last night. Been way too long since I got some offline matches in with dl people. Even with CP eventually coming out, it makes me want to put some work into the game again. Should probably start by getting a PS3 copy though since I don't feel like paying for LIVE...

Thread has been pretty dead, so resurrection was necessary. Yeah, can't wait for CP. Since I missed the GG train first time around, I'll treat myself to birthday present and get it today.

More of a BB player, but I'm willing to play GG if I have people to play with (even though I'm a scrub).

I probably will. Just hope real life hasn't knocked me down from decorated scrub to scrub. Also, I'll be in Raleigh this fall so I'll finally have some people to play with again on a regular basis.

GGs to toan, SenXXi, rampage_chuck_1, and cookie. Had a feeling that was toan based on the color, but I wasn't sure till you posted here. Definitely need to play you and cookie more to get used to the Lambda/Mu match up since I'm free to zoners in general. Shoutouts to Sen making it hard for me to put the controller down. Ended up playing way more BB than I had planned today.

Ah, I had a feeling that was the case. That's why even when I was in Raleigh, I found it difficult to go to the gatherings since BB was the only game I was interested in. I'll still be playing BB as my main game, but KOF is probably the only popular game I'd be willing to legitimately try right now since I've lost interest in Capcom games. It's a toss up since you can either bring a setup and give the game exposure at the risk of being drowned out completely, or have a completely separate gathering that would appeal to people genuinely interested in the game that would benefit everyone more overall. The game has come a long way since CT, but whether it will grow anymore depends on whether NC's opinion on BB is set in stone at this point (which unfortunately is the most likely case).

Ah, I see. Guess I was mistaken. I'd be willing to go to Mr. Kimura's place, but that's roughly a 5 hour round trip for me coming from Greensboro which would really hurt my pockets at the moment. If possible, driving to Raleigh and then catching a ride with someone from their would work best. But yeah, weekends aren't a problem for me as well and would be ideal. Those were my main concerns. I also tried getting in touch with DJ to see if I was interested in doing something a little closer to home. It'd be nice to actually seem some regular BB in the area. Edit: I've been meaning to ask, how are Jon's gatherings?

I'd be down for that. On the matter of hosting in the Raleigh area for BB, I could've sworn that RoboCurse or someone around here went to NC State. If that's the case, the Wolves' Den should almost always be open on Saturdays. If not him, I'm almost positive DJ_Blactricity goes to State, but at the same time I've never seen him post in the thread . It sucks, I actually want to get better now, but I'm in Greensboro at the moment. If I was at State this semester, this wouldn't be much of a problem.

ggs today LK. Having actually played you, do you mind critiquing me as well? I recognize some of the things I need to work on myself, but someone who's actually played me can probably provide more constructive criticism. Things I know I need to work on include: -Spacing/Footsies -Pressure, primarily mixing in throws and frame traps -Oki -Defense (I think I respect pressure too much) -Approach for lack of a better term Those are the main things I'm aware of that I know I need to work on. I was under the impression that I could fix most of this by simply playing more, but now I'm not too sure. That's about all I can think of but once again, thanks for the games.

Shoutouts to LK gracing our scrubby room with his presence and letting me take a round off him. I've had reminders of how free I am before, but I was a little sore after those matches.

I generally check homingcancel.com once a day or every other day and I haven't gotten anything from it. On the other hand, while it didn't happen it on my computer, I did get something off of SRK once when I was looking up something for a friend on his computer.

@ Skub My current artwork on my stick is similar to this except it's Tsubaki only, but on that one I have a button symbol for the start button as well. Since I don't plan on getting a clear button for the start button, I decided not to worry about it in this design. @Michi Good eyes, lol. I wasn't very meticulous about getting Jin's size right and was trying to eyeball it. The Tsubaki pic I used had her full body where as the Jin one I found was cut off around the shin or so. I simply adjusted the original pic of Jin to the same size as the Tsubaki one and I was more or less satisfied, but in the back of my mind I kinda' knew that Tsubaki was a bit smaller. Was hoping no one would catch my laziness, lol. Guess I'll stop being lazy and fix it now.

Thanks for the suggestions and comments. I can see how the BB logo stands out too much and that it could work without it, but there's a part of me that once to keep it there. I decided to rearrange it such that it's under the scan lines and decreased the size to what it was before in order to make it less noticeable, yet still have it there. While I haven't done it in this version, I was thinking of moving the logos at the bottom right to the bottom left in so you could see it bit more of the character art, although that's just a minor thing and doesn't bother me that much.

So maybe make it smaller? Originally it was about 2/3 to about half that size and in the top right, but I kept messing around with it and couldn't make up my mind, lol.

Was kinda lurking in the thread and wanted to get some opinions. Somehow, I feel something's missing but I can't put my finger on it...

By the way Rob, you mind if I add you you on PSN? I've been trying to play online a bit more and it's nice to play with people you've actually met IMO.

From what I've seen while lurking in the thread, your best bet is the gatherings held at Jon's place, but there's more about that on SRK than here. I believe the Wolfpack Gaming club held gatherings occasionally in the Wolves Den, but I haven't heard much about it as of late (and generally it was more Marvel, SF4, and some Arcana). I wish I wasn't in Greensboro right now or you'd at least have one person to play with since I'm a State student too...

Just out of curiosity, where are you in the Raleigh area, RoboCurse? I'm at NC State and I'm looking for players that are a little closer to home. I suppose Cary's not far, but at the same time it seems like Marvel and SF4 are more prevalent at the gatherings and it's slightly discouraging.
