  1. FInally back from a long hiatus. I can't add much to the the corner oki because i have yet to delve deep into the corner hugging stuff, but in terms of pressure your tools are the same since reload (please dig back my old post lol). S© is your great friend, along with rekka or anything that gives you anything at/above -1 static difference. If you are dead close your 5k or s© can pretty much beat anything clean. If you are far your 2d beats alot of options and mixing it up with gamma blade rapes alot of charaters (sol's 2d for example). 6hs is also a very good tool to stop ppl getting out. And don't forget you have a DP (obviously there is 6p and 2hs but they sometimes get beat) for those jumpers. If it is a counter hit you should be able to follow up with a good combo without even meter.
  2. I may not be a true BBer, but I do play GG And yea im in brisbane
  3. such a noob to move to sydney :P mwahahaha. So should have went to melbourne lol ^-^
  4. DUdez!!! do you have the vids? you have to upload us getting trashed :P
  5. Haven't played for years, but i know s© and rekka pressure is good on him. ANd if you bait out his dp it's free damage. 6p i believe is also very good against his S and far S pokes. sigh. I fucking miss this game.
  6. currently watching your match with a iron tager. Nice nice nice matches with the offense. Reminds me of my own chipp hahahahaa. But damn iron tager aint flinching much AND, tech grab in blazblue is quite easy. Epic matches. Awesome. ^^

  7. i don't think any of you have given it much of a chance. The turn button is actually quite easy to get used to. Unfortunately, as great of a game i think Isuka is (custom team combos and strats ftw), there's just better alternatives. Oh as for fending off two players, it is actually very do-able. You have to do quick combos, combos that hit ppl in other lanes, and ready to use back attacks as well. Come to think of it, i think it would be a good side tourney ^^ i mean we could team up noobs with pros and battle it out. Anyway, I really miss playing with my jap friends, and would love to have recorded a few vids b4 they left. Oh well RIP isuka.
  8. you should let ppl tech out of combos and trapping them that way, especially in corner. You can Automatic jump install by teleporting the moment you land from a jump. Im sure there's an article on that somewhere. Useful for say air grabbing in the corner, and then air teleport, into air dash. Works very well against beginner to bottom tier top level players.

sup dawg. nice games today against my jin lol. Im donutboy btw. It's a friends account but i will be using that account for a while. Im quite impressed by your skill level. Seems like there's finally some type of competition in aus :P hahahahaa. Do you play gg as well?

  10. sounds good. Totally agreed. Singling ppl out and teaching them one by one is no go. But bringing it to a bunch of ppl a few ppl at the same level can pick it up AT the same time. And they have each other to play against instead of against someone whose already really strong.
  11. it's got netcode too lets not forget. If they have some brains they should make GG for new gen console, with net code and also helps you pair with those that are about the same level as you. As for stopping rage quitters? who gives a fuck. anyway GG are for the elites not for the noobs. GG are for the competitors not for the scrubs. And in this day and age, there are only scrubs and noobs. Shrug
  12. Spot fucking on. Hopefully they make GG for the new consoles or for the pc with REAL net code so it'll stay alive. ANd hopefully they add some type of training mode that TEACHES some bread n butters so that people don't have to go to youtube and forums from the very beginning. fuck i miss gg to death... >o<
  13. this should definitely be stickied. Man even i haven't saw kensou's video until this post xD
  14. And one more

  16. Chipp Pressure Can't believe i have to rewrite this but oh wellz... Um and yea please feel free to write your own pressure tactics so we can learn from each other. In general, Chipp's pressure is based around his fast pokes and quick recovery. Unlike other characters he doesn't have any special cancels or projectiles to pressure. However what you do get is speed and an insane rush down that could kill any opponent who has lost their mental cool. And trust me, against chipp, they usually will. ---------------------------------------------- S© pressure: You pressure with this extreme fast normal which has +2 advantage on block. You usually start of with dash in 2k, s©. Then you wait till you recover and then: 1) s© again (continue to other options) 2) 5k into rekka pressure 3) 2k, s© into 6k or 2d then rekka (if you are close) 4) s©, rekka pressure (if you are close) 5) dash in s© (restarts) 6) gamma blade 7) jump in attack (baits dps and fast pokes.. like dizzy's 2hs against your 5k) 8) wait for them to jump out and air throw. effectiveness: This tactic is actually very very strong. If you are close to the opponent your s© pretty much kills everything they will have (apart from dp). If you are further away you, your 5k will snuff out again most attacks or both of you will wiff. THe best thing about it, is that you can follow this up to rekka pressure as well. If you put these two together you can lock down an opponent for a good long time until they crack. The only thing is, you have to remain cool. IF it's not working out and you're getting out poke'd change it up. Do nothing. NOthing is also a strategy. Wait for them to jump. If you can do beta blade frc good, you can always chase them down. -------------------------------------- Rekka Pressure: You pressure with this attack (236s, the first one) which has -1 on block. Because of chipp's insane speed, -1 is still very very very good. Now here are your options: If you are close: 1) s© pressure 2) s© into rekka mid/far pressure 3)2k, into whatever 4) rekka followups... (not the best option but what the hell, they work) 5) jump if you are mid/far: 1) 5k into rekka (i know it doesn't combo but who cares) 2) gamma blade 3) delay rekka followup 4) dash in throw 5) 2d 6) iad 7) wait, then 22k, throw 8) FIND ME! effectiveness: Just as effective as s©. As you can see with the options you can do a bloody lot with chipp's pressure. ANd to add to it, with tension you can increase your pressure length by rc'ing your rekka low followup. If you crack them during pressure, Chipp will do enormous damage. But again remember, you have to keep a cool head, and sometimes even allow the opponent to jump away so you can punish with deadly anti airs. ------------------------ Corner Pressure: Pretty much once you've got them into the corner, you can jump freely at them, and you also got the added option of 6hs to catch them jumping out, which is sweet as. On top of it, you can space yourself really well for a 6p anti air. There isn't much to say here, but you should definately use your 6hs on them when you've got them cornered. BUmps up heaps of block meter, and GOOD reward if you hit with it. TOp tier strat against abba, and ppl with slow jumps.
  17. i just revived one of the links and put stuff into it too
  18. BUMP!!!! updated first post
  19. Um, just recently checked the vid again. THe vid is finally working again (and consistently too) ^^"

    Johnny

dash in 6p. Even if it's his wake up and he has fucking super. Dash in deep 6p. again mix up between 5k and jump. only thing against you is 2hs
  21. Kasou

    Dizzy

teleport is your good friend. air alpha frc is your best friend against her fire overdrive mix up between 5k and jump after pressure. (her 2hs will kill you) throw is fun.
  22. 5hs is your best friend after any frame trap. Everything else is simple

    Ky

2D spam!!! (beware of greed sever) 236236k (invincible against predicted projectiles) 6p for any air shit (and against ppl that do 6k still) rekka and s© pressure is still good against this man. fd block and teleport will get you out of almost anything. ANd fd + 236236k will kill any block string ending with fireball bullshit. zzzzzzzzzzzzz
  24. Control comes from experience and playing. AFter a while you will start getting into attack and defence patterns. THe longer you play, and the more ppl you play the more refined and effective your patterns get. For basic control and feel of character, i'll say about 30 odd matches? To get to that level (youtube vid). Really depends on how quick of a learner you are and how much competition you have around the area. If you're lucky about 3 months. and within that time frame maybe about 2 to 3 very good gaming sessions a week? (matches where you can learn, and discuss and you actively find new techniques to counter your opponent) It's really hard to put a time frame to it. tournament play for reaction timing? Nope. I'll say just playing more ppl would do that. Just play more (if you can....... i can't so im like totally retired..... aus = the sux)
