What's commonly done is that people will 'buffer' the 360/720 motion by inputting it while Tager is doing something else that he won't jump out of(like jumping since he can't jump twice, any normal you can't jump cancel out of, Gadget Finger animation, etc) and time it to finish right when he's recovered from that. Doing a 'standing 360/720' is possible but it's pretty hard no matter what controller you're using and takes a lot of practice. Not very many people can do standing 720s consistently AFAIK. I have no idea if using a hitbox makes it more difficult or not, though.

  8. I haven't seen/heard it yet, but I also haven't been looking for it. So if you happen to see it show up during a match vid just link it. My Japanese isn't all that great, but since this game is so anime I can decipher a fair bit of generic common words/phrases. EDIT: Plus there are plenty of users that are way more proficient in the language than I am around here, so even if I can't get it, someone else should be able to.
  9. Rachel's winquote vs Izayoi in arcade is "Don't forget your promise" or something to that effect. Is she referring to something that already happened in the story so far, or something that happens in CP's arcade stories?
  10. I thought it was interesting that Izayoi uses the same term as Hakumen does to refer to Ragna in her intro.
  11. You don't have to hook a PC up to a monitor, everything has HDMI hookups nowadays... Steam just recently released its Big Picture Mode in testing exactly for the purpose of using your PC to game in a home theatre experience, on the big-screen television. And even without that, it's easily possible to set up your PC to play nice with the intent of browsing/gaming on your television. Regardless if it made it to PC or console, you'd see this game at EVO. It'd have a side setup somewhere, guaranteed. Regardless of it making it to PC or console, this game has almost no chance of making it as an EVO main title. I see no problem. :D
  12. Persona 4 Arena was region-locked because of Atlus, not ASW. It's still a pretty controversial decision for them to have done it(IIRC it was the first PS3 title of note to do it). I wouldn't be worried at this point in time.

I figure I should ask(and don't take this personally KingofSarus, I do like your Ms.Fortune lineart) -- is potentially getting a high-res sprite still/colormap for these 100% out of the question? The former is somehat available for the existing cast from paring down existing pictures/footage, while the latter would take more effort to put together on our own. But if Reverge would be OK with providing some official material for us to paint-by-numbers that would be awesome. :D

  17. I dunno. Pandora in the TGS build lasts ~7 seconds, and it's just 25% health on either character to activate. So far it looks like giving up tagging is going to just be a huge net negative for entering Pandora mode, unless your character can have decent odds on exposing the other guy and/or land a guaranteed kill in those 7 seconds. The extended combos that you're going to be doing in Pandora will probably eat up at least 50% of the time you're given to use it on average. I do think there will be some specific characters that will really shine with it, but definitely not the cast at large--at least not the way the game looks now.

  19. In the absence of pro advice, I offer some halfbaked commentary. I don't feel that this matchup changed too much from CS1. jC still really good when you're above him, character-specific combos still there, still more susceptible to resets than most of the cast. He has more tricks in his bag to remember/deal with though. His Gadget mixup feels more powerful but IDK for sure... he can make her DP whiff with some of his lows, not sure if that happened in CS1. Using 3C against him is more of a no-no than it used to be, although you can still yomi his 5D(largely when magnetized) and spark bolt with it if he isn't sitting on meter and you time them correctly. Mak's 5B and 6A largely means he's not at a great advantage taking to the air unless he catches you sleeping. Ending strings with the new AV C to escape doesn't seem to be that safe(especially when magnetized; I think his Atomic Collider catches you now?). 6C is still good for keeping his spacing attempts uncomfortable. Also like the rest of the cast Tager haet 2A. I'm pretty sure he can still IB/720 it legit though, even with the IB nerf.
  20. Another thing I'm not sure about... Was playing against a Tager yesterday and he fired off a Spark Bolt right as I was charging Comet Cannon. The Spark bolt ate the orb and then clashed?(not sure) with the release and I didn't get hit/magnetized/etc. I don't know if comet cannon's release/shot is supposed to count as a projectile or a normal or not, so this may not be anything special.
  21. On the topic of 3C, there have been a few times where I've thrown it out and beaten projectiles I don't recall being able to deal with in CS1 (Spike Chaser, Touga Hyojin). It happens a little bit after startup but she seems to go through them as if she was invul, although typically they no-sell 3C cold. I'm guessing they're coming out in segments and Makoto moves past the next active hitbox before it touches her, but I'm not sure. Did this happen in CS1?
