I don't understand how you can define what a fuzzy is (which is what the video shows), then turn right around and say it's not a fuzzy. Valk's j.C is an instant overhead, but can also be used in fuzzy attempts. Just because there's a gap that you can counter, doesn't mean it's not a fuzzy guard. If that's the case, then there are no legit fuzzy guards in this game (unless you're already blocking a projectile). This is just the type of fuzzy guard that the system mechanics allow. Yes you can DP or even jump out of it, but would you take that chance in an actual match? There's always a way out of most setups in the game, and that's fine, but just b/c there's a way out doesn't mean it kills the mix up. After a deep j.C you can: -land, 3C/2B -land, throw -land, 236A~2D -rising j.C Outside of SRK/reversal super, I personally wouldn't dare try any of those other options against a competent player unless I was 1000% sure the fuzzy was coming. But hey it's all good, since I'm wrong I'll just keep my strats to myself.

Sorry, I'm not feeding the trolls today. I've played those match ups enough to know that virtually everything you posted is wrong. DJ-I don't have it, but I have a friend that does and I play pretty often. I'm using a lot of Relius lately, but I've gotten all of valk's new stuff down.

1)To kill someone, counter assault 2)6A isn't garbage, it just has VERY situational uses. It loses to lows/throws iirc, and is not very good to just "throw out there" 3)His worst would probably be Litchi/Bang, best would be platinum/arakune. Tager isn't best for him by far if the Tager knows the match up. It's one of the most boring, insanely stupid matchups in the game. I'd rather fight 1000 Ragnas or CT Nu-13s. I HATE that match up.

I added some edits and annotations to the vid for further clarification. I hope this helps. Finding REALLY tricky stuff with this character is kinda challenging. I'll post up any other good findings if I come across some.

GGs yesterday everyone. Sansprotocol trying to step up his game like a BOSS HOG GANGSTA Tampa is leveling up, I hope everyone else is doing the same!

Ok after some testing, I found that my initial thoughts were wrong; he can fuzzy most of the cast with j.C pretty consistently, but some people are more difficult than others, and it requires 50% meter to do. impossible: tao, platinum; highly difficult: litchi, noel, rachel, arakoon; normal: everyone else I almost put litchi under impossible, but if you do j.C as low to the ground as possible, then do another j.C, it can fuzzy her. She's definitely the most difficult out of the cast though. If in the corner, you can do the following combo: j.C>rapid>j.C>5B>3C>236C>214A>6C>214A>5C(2)>j.C>j.8/9D>j.C>j.8/9D>j.236C>j.214B>land>5C(2)>4D>3C~ This is a similar combo that's in the jp relius tutorial. You can end with either super, or j.5D for unsummon into tech traps.

I think the problem lies more so with how other people perceive the actual game than our own community. There are problems within the BB community, but other people who don't play BB refuse to give it a chance because: -It's not a capcom game -It's not GGAC -"it looks dumb"/It's a lolzy anime fighter I think the real question is, how can we change people's perception of the game? How can we get them to see what we see? This is going to be particularly difficult, especially in America. Land of the free and home of Capcom. I wonder if Japan's marvel community has the same problem we have. It's pretty much the only game capcom makes that they tend to shy away from.

DAT RELIUS

This character is all about frame traps and situational unblockables. His mixup potential (at the moment anyway) really isn't that great compared to the rest of the cast. He doesn't do particularly well against people with SRKs. The problem with his j.B/j.C is that it doesn't consistently fuzzy the entire cast. 3C>j.C only works on tager and haku crouching. It'll whiff vs everyone else. Some of his fuzzy setups are also meter and character dependent. 6D and j.2D are great for pressure, but opening people up who are good turtles is going to be one helluva task. He's really, really fun, but his son is alot better :-(. I do have a couple of setups that give you a full ignis meter back after a combo in the corner, but it's going to take some refinement in order to get the tech traps down.

Eh, I'm going to keep my opinion to myself b/c it's just that: an opinion. If I start listing my top 5 I'm pretty sure someone somewhere is going to get their vagina is an tangled bunch. Plus there are a few people in FL that i haven't played yet that might just end up surprising me. Pastey- I like orgies, so this will be fun. Who else likes orgies? No one is making anyone go anywhere. If we get down to it, 90% of FL sucks at BB; I can only think of a handful of people who are REALLY good at the game. Post wherever the fuck you want, but level up and make sure YOU are good at the game. Pasty when I get back into town I'm crashing on your couch and cracking out on CSEX until that late afternoon. I'm not eating this time either, got too much shit to test. Kurushii find a fuzzy guard, a guaranteed 50% meter combo, or multiple unblockable setups with Relius so he can actually be a threat. Without 1 or 2 of those, he's gonna be hella mediocre.

Everything about this is wrong. When properly spaced, his human pokes are FANTASTIC, that's part of why he's so good. If he only relied on wolf to be effective then he would not be as good as he is. Making people guess on instant j.C is what sets up 2B so well. You can't always be in wolf mixing up because you're very susceptible to 5A/2A counter pokes. When you have 50%, human becomes just as scary as wolf. Wolf form combos are what push you to the corner; human gets you damage and great starters. Your game should not rely solely on 2B, but to neglect it is to nerf a huge part of your game. If criticism is going to be taken in a good way, then it should be conveyed in a good way. You can't just say "you're random and you need a lot of work" and expect everyone to be all happy and sunny about it. If people really wanted to tier whore, they'd play Hazama or Makoto in this game. Neither of them have bad matchups; Valk has trouble with several.

This. Unless some new tech is discovered (fuzzy guards, back to back guaranteed corner unblockables), he probably won't make it past mid tier. His actual mixup game outside of punch super just isn't as strong as the higher tiered characters (Ragna, Valk, Hazama, etc)
