I'll share my input on AC5: My main experience is with Last Raven. It feels nothing like that. Movement is less about flying and more about jumping around, using buildings and terrain to wall jump and such. Scan mode and Combat mode switching feels very realistic, but theres a learning curve in switching back and forth fast and on the fly. I love the online, and it works smoothly for me. Haven't done too much team stuff though. I mostly take merc jobs. I'm on Reddit's team at the moment, but nobody ever seems to be on. if you guys all get it and get into it, we could form a team and go raid some fools. Overall the game is badass as hell and I could explain further, and maybe I'll edit this post, but I have class shortly so yea. Also Jackie: I'm not riding to MTNG with you. I'm hanging with Keith on Friday. I'll mooch a ride off of you Saturday night afterward though :P

Holy hell. There is a 360/ps3 game that directly references Nintendo by name. My mind is blown. I also lost it at "capcooooooom!" best ending ever. As for SFxT itself, it looks fun, but alot of the business practices i've read that Capcpom has done with it is pretty stupid. I wanna try before I buy, and if I DO buy, it'll be 100% used. Why would you refer to me as Papstr and then randomly switch to my real name?

I've had appointments n shiz, but I've been sick as well. Literally only been in bed unless I ran out for an appointment lol. Will get around to shoutouts later, but I'll answer Milln on Blazblue. It's like this. At least for me. The game is good. It has/had potential, but now it's gotten dull. Every iteration brings nothing new to the table except number tweaks. With each version, my character feels exactly the same, except some shit is good/worse and does more/less damage. Combos generally behave the same, and overall the game feels braindead. If each iteration actually did things worthy of an iteration (changin' numbers n shiz isn't enough to justify anything beyond a simple patch) such as give me some new tools and toys to mess around with, I'd feel more inclined to play the game.

Grimstar: my thoughts exactly pretty much. Being a fan of Persona 4 and 3 though, I feel like I must purchase it. :D

Persona Fighter looks pretty slick. Buying it day 1, regardless of if people even play it competitively. It's Persona damnit, and I love those characters. Probably the first and only time I'd buy a fighting game pretty much only for the story lol.

This shit's gettin' emotional. I might cry. Tad you're so cool dude. Seeing, uh, someone your age I guess (not saying you're old. Don't shoot me lol) is such an interesting breath of fresh air to me, considering video games are always considered a children's form of entertainment or some kinda time waster or whatever. Slowly inching into and experiencing fighting games and its community has certainly changed that view to me. Lot's of older people play this shit, and seeing you chilling with us, mashin' some buttons and doing whatever the hell, having all of us be on an EQUAL level, just feels cool. When I first started up playing Smash Bros (ewww) and shit, I felt kinda weird because I'm so much younger than everyone else. After a while that kinda changed, be it the whole "age gaps get smaller when you get older" or simply because I felt more of an equal to everyone, younger or not. I think I spoke too much. I'll go back to being quiet and saying barely anything lol.

He's really not. Move crosses you up. Ok. Move doesn't cross up in the exact same situation. Ok. Sounds like a good ol' fashioned ambiguousous..ous.. thing.

Yea i think Jackie's got a point. Fundamentals go across all fighting games, but theres still fundamentals to specific genres. Like, 3D fighters, while the basics are still there (don't do stupid unsafe shit, don't get hit) the ideas of side stepping add more "fundamentals." Same goes for animu fighters like Blazblue and Guilty Gear. You've got different types of blocking and airdashes n shit in addition to worrying about mix up, block strings, anti air, and blah blah. Also I hate cats. Milln: I hope you come by like, after 3. I have an important speech to give at the 12:00 - 1:20 mark, and then have an assignment to hand in at the 3:00 - 4:20 mark. Though I can easily hand in my shit and leave for the latter case. Though I can probably email the assignment and explain the situation for the latter case. Yea.

I'm rather looking forward to Star's 5-point assessment. I enjoy watching people debate.

While their wording is rather blunt, (which I like! woo!) they are still pretty accurate. If you're losing to stuff in a game like KOF (which has a big emphasis on fundamentals like SF. Both of them moreso than BB imo), then perhaps theres something wrong with your fundamentals.
-
BS. KOF. Wut. When I get hit in KOF, I feel like I got hit cuz I messed up. When I get hit in Blazblue, I feel like its because the game decided to let me get hit despite me holding back alot. When I get hit in Marvel, I feel like I lost a coin flip.

Yea, not having to adjust to different pads is a plus with sticks, as well as being able to use an arcade cabinet if the situation ever called for it. Plus using a stick just makes you feel like a bad ass or somethin'. It won't automatically make you a better player, but I do feel like I have better control overall compared to a pad. Plus, you put together the darn thing, so you might as well use it!

Yea seriously Chandler just learn stick. Also fix the C button. it's sideways and it's bugging the shit outta me. Otherwise that thing is a work of art lolz
