Well, I _DID_ include a picture of the enormous hitbox, and then everyone was all "but it's grabbing things that aren't even in that enormous hitbox! I was behind her!" sooooo....

My copy is coming from Amazon via the slow boat, so they estimate I'll have it by next week. I guess we're off this week, try again next week. -

8, eh? Hate to say it, but by that time, you may not be able to get space to set up. =/ -

Epiren, you're in? -
So let me get this straight... a character that is DLC in Japan should be released for free over here because...the game has been out over there for a while? Does this mean that when you buy a game over here a year after it comes out they should give you all the DLC for free because it's "old"? Also, I think you meant Aksys, AND they are doing, or at least, involved in the localization, so...uh... stop posting nonsense?

Theoryfighten's time. Assuming that whiff-gatling windows have not changed since Extend (since the crappy CP frame data has no info on them), what about using a 6B meaty on Azrael's wakeup? Aiming for a meaty 6B, Gatling to 6BB as soon as you can gives you a gatling to 6BB on, basically, the last active frame of 6B. So if one of the active frames was Azrael's 'wakeup frame', he immediately goes into invulnerable backdash, which gives him 20 frames of invuln. He loses 2 or so of them to the active frames of 6B, then 6BB takes 15 frames to start up, leaving him with (20-15)-2=3 frames of invulnerability, and 6BB is active for 4 frames, and should hit and give you a much better starter than a 5A. If he doesn't backdash, he either gets hit by the low, blocks it (in which case you can take your +1 frame advantage where you can get it) or he Growlers out, and there's not much you can do about that. It seems like it should work. The only downsides I see are: A) Might be hard to time. Will certainly require some practice, and if you screw up the timing, it could hurt. B) Since 6BB has relatively long startup, it might be easier for him to see coming and growler out on reaction. It has relatively subtle startup animation though, so it may balance out if used smartly. C) It almost certainly won't move you forward far enough for this to work midscreen, so it'd be restricted to a corner only tactic. Anyone try this?

That's fine; I have like, 3 hours of CP time to my name. :P and Epiren - what kind of connection do you need for the monitor? Worst case, I -can- lug in one my PC ones if it has the right kind of connector. -

Parking? In Harvard Square? for CHEAP? Better go back to bed, you're feverish. I could bring a monitor if I HAD one, but I don't know if the one hooked up to my PC will be any damn good. -

If you're bringing BB tomorrow, I'm there, otherwise, I'm not. -
Platinum's counter is active on frame 1, because it's basically her reversal. Also, the followup attack has 21 frames of startup. Also, it does essentially zero damage (okay, fine 100 whole damage). These moves are not really comparable at all in terms of what they do.

Which of the videos was that in?

That's actually less the hitbox than, as has been pointed out, the hurtbox. Remember that all you need to do is overlap the hitbox by a TINY amount. This happens with other attacks too but it's most obvious with throws due to the 'vacuum' effect.

Yeah, me and my chillion hours of Tsubaki netplay. It was still in Harvard last week, just in John Harvard's Brew House (basically the same building as the Garage). If you're going to go with a setup, try to arrive early so you can claim a spot. Note that there's a $5 cover now. I guess I'll show. -

The info in this post is old, alas. I think Brain Box is long closed. =/ And oh, is this Anime Boston this weekend? x.x I guess I should come out from under this rock occasionally... I think we probably met, Epiren - I was the Tsubaki player. :P As mentioned in other posts, I haven't been to GO since before the holidays, except for this past week, which was not a positive experience. The new venue just doesn't offer the amount of space needed. While Tommy Doyle's was cramped once things got rolling, at least they had room for more than 4 setups of things that weren't Smash. /does not understand the popularity of Smash -
Well, actually, this game needs people to make some noise about it in a positive way.

Ah, check what out on Sunday? =/ The 'Game Over' event is strictly a Tuesday thing, AFAIK, and at the moment, doesn't seem like it will have any BB unless someone steps up to bring a setup AND they mysteriously find room to...er... set it up. Game Underground in Framingham MIGHT have players, but I dunno, and they're only loosely 'in Boston'. -
Just all the girls? I've always been under the impression that basically ALL air throw hitboxes are gigantic in BB since like, CS2. I mean, this is Ragna's Air Throw hitbox from Extend:

Dunno. People might play at Game Underground in Framingham, if that's convenient to you. Otherwise, not really much in the way of 'venues'. I'm local to Boston, but I don't think I'm going to Anime Boston; $65 to get in to play some BB seems like a lot, but maybe I'm weird. -

So I was at Game Over yesterday, and it was a huge mess. There basically wasn't enough space in the new location, and about 75% of what space there was was taken up by Smash setups. It was like: ~10 smash setups 2 Monster Hunter (Buh?) 2 SF4 1 KOF Aaannd...that's pretty much it. Depressing. And cover charge. Not going back unless I have reason to believe things have changed. -
Whoops, right. Carry on. That said, what criteria are we using should/shouldn't here on 5B6A5B?
