just make sure you cancel the sweep ASAP, hit with it as high as possible. Timing is hard to describe, but youll get it eventually.

trolling maybe do semi okay combos, it sets up for 214B TK j214B height which lets you get oki/combos off of standing hits in the corner with jD out. For example, off slide 5A 5C j2A jD you can meaty 5A/2A blah blah blah (jD connects) 214B TK j214B (5d here if you want) 2B jC j214A 5AAA yeah this works off like any starter, jD prorates relatively well

practical usage seem to really only be against mitsuru rising jB, haha

do you get a combo? it might be like really late active frame connection or something. Either way, off raw counter he at least gets a safe jump, or return to neutral, where he probably prefers to be. this post summarizes everything so concisely, there really is no more need to discuss anything. the argument about it stopping offensive momentum... what dp doesnt do that? <_> comparatively speaking there is almost no reason to complain about yosuke's dp. Conceptually it has the same purpose as other dp's but is not as effective as some other ones, but it has its nuances (long active frames making it awkward to punish is the most sensible complaint i can take and even then its still pretty silly).

He has invul during the animation but there is punishable recovery, but its non ch recovery. if you want to test this yourself set the cpu to block everything, do it and time your punish.

lets look at it this way, in a really simple sense against most counters, you can bait them and continue pressure through various means (practically every dp can be baited with crossup air turn pressure, mitsuru being the one biggest culprits of this with her god jB) barring kanji and teddie. many counters can even be activated and punished (naoto, yosuke, chie getting crossed up come to mind), and dp's for the most part can be avoided (Crossup makes aigis/yu whiff, yukiko can be OS'd with whiff normal, even has guard point lol) but mitsuru... http://www.dustloop.com/guides/p4arena/hitbox/Mitsuru/BD.html so, even with yu's "lol i can cancel on teh way down lololol" why not just dash under and punish? the window for safely punishing mitsuru's dp is also comparatively small (yu for example can NOT get his staple punish combo off on her due to how fast she recovers without dealing with bufudyne/no bufudyne mixup). The movement of her dp is also good if you happen to try crossing her up limiting your punish(not huge, but still an advantage). Oh yeah, bufudyne is also pretty damn big, and air unblockable to boot. the reward she gets off of it feels much much better than other dp's if she does land that CH (lolfreeze) so comparatively speaking, yosukes is better i-its n-not like m-my running rising jB serves as a mixup while activating yosuke's counter and making it whiff at the same time!!!
