  2. Discuss the Izayoi matchup here. Her D Sonic Saber (only available in GA mode, consuming 1 stock) has a terrible durability. Any Lobelia or a mere pumpkin hit is enough to make it disappear. We need to be careful when summoning George, as she can quickly teleport behind us for 2 stocks. Izayoi struggles against airborne opponents.
  3. Discuss the Relius matchup here. This matchup seems to be a pain, summons will most likely get stuffed by Ignis.
  4. Discuss the Terumi matchup here. His j.D has a massive hitbox. 6A will clash often with it, so be prepared Once he sits on 50 meter, which will happen a lot, any summon that isn't fullscreen can be punished by his 41236C super, even giving him a short combo dealing 3kish damage.

  15. Discuss the Arakune matchup here. He now has a new move (22A/B/C) that prevents us from laming him out completely. He'll summon a spider that will hit from above, even fullscreen away. Oh, and it fills his curse gauge. The recovery on it is quite long, so getting in his face when he whiffs one is very important.

  18. Discuss the Tager matchup here. We need to be extra carful now once he has spark bolt available. His 623D bolt will hit us out of air summons. His air Driver has a very strong pull, be careful and don't try to jump too predictiably. Corner will still destroy him. If george is out, 6C on wake-up will shut down all of his wake-up options as long as he doesn't have 50 heat for MTW. Rising j.A IOH is a valid tool once he respects you.
  19. Discuss the Rachel matchup here. Once Rachel is cornered, she has a hard time getting out. Wind dashes are useful for punishing summons.
  20. Discuss the Noel matchup here. Seems like her stagger pressure has gotten a lot worse/is non existent now. Our 3C will hit her 3 times now!
  21. Discuss the Jin matchup here. If Jin has 25 meter, always make sure to block high after 6B until he lands, his new move j.214D allows him to do a relatively slow overhead as long as he is airborne. Don't summon carelessly if he is sitting at 25 meter, as he can do a fullscreen D icecar to punish. Also, if you see it coming, make sure to block low. He can now manually add his 2nd hit, but it doesn't really seem to matter much. You can punish both with 5B and there is no gap inbetween the hits. Just time your 5B for when you'd punish the first hit. If he is going for his follow-up you'll automatically block it, still being able to punish with 5B. Apparently his 2C is a much better anti air now. A mistimed fullscreen 236A punish can hurt. The only ice swords he is able to do now are his horizontal ones (being 236A and j.236A), with the exception being his j.236D, shooting at about the same arc as his old j.236A. (Reference)
  22. Discuss the Ragna matchup here. We can 2C or 6A his blood scythe (214D) on reaction. Spacing is important though, if he is standing close enough (around our 2A range), the scythe will crossup, making 2C whiff. 6A still works, but can easily turn into a 5A if we aren't quick enough, netting him a FC combo. Outside of that, 236A with wind is still the bane of his existence, especially if he is affected by B lotus. He can still get rid of george rather easily with 3C.

  24. Yh, it's so easily punished if you mess up. What I also noticed, characters with a hitbox like Azrael are hard to hit with 3C after 5B 6A 236A, any solutions for that? Delaying the 2326A works at times, but I can't find any consistency in landing it. edit: also seems to apply to Haku, so possibly Tager as well?
  25. Just keep on playing until it becomes second nature. Worked pretty well for me. What you definitely have to learn though is not pressing buttons on your wakeup. :D Only thing I'm still having trouble with is whether to go for an air combo or j.2D (land) 6A 4B stuff. I'm too greedy trying the latter all the time because it's so much more fun doing. :P
