  1. Oh lawdy. Bloodpack FRC -> Keygrab is the new double keygrab, kinda. 25% tension is a fair trade off for all the health back.

Rets go, get it on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ou1zsW-t9a4 Can't really watch this in its entirety at work, but Honnou posted it on Twitter saying it's one of the best sets he's seen in a while. This is like, my least favorite matchup, so I can't wait to see how it goes down. One of the comments is a guy hoping the rekka loops only work on Potemkin... haw haw haw.

There's a ton of little buffs that kind of mitigate the loss (maybe?) of double keygrab. It looks like normal throw to keygrab will be less character specific, and the reduction of self-damage in Moroha and the slower decrease will help out. I like the bloodpack FRC a lot - I really wanted to see a Suka animation FRC though, a tradeoff of tension for safety, but oh well. The general hitbox buffs in normal mode make me happy too, smart footsies just got a little more effective. Not needing FRC for rekkas in the corner is extra nice - more tension for those ultra-painful butt RC to double orb combos. Goku Moroha changes will at the very least breathe a little extra fun into the character. FB Bloodball distance increased, huh. Old setups will go out the window, but new ones will take their place and probably be better thanks to the 6 hits. Blockstun ahoy. Non FRC'd rekkas, bloodball, IAD j.H/2K/tick throw mixup, perhaps? I'm mixed on 5H. Really don't like the startup increase. j.H proration makes me go "Oh god why", I abuse that move way too much. Let's get cracking, folks - other character forums seem to be way ahead in terms of updates and discussion!

  5. New change, hot off the presses from the latest loketest... Rachelの特性は極度の粉砕の兄弟からの砂袋と取り替えるある Ran it through a translator and I got "As for the quality of Rachel you exchange with the Sandbag from the sibling of extreme pulverization, it is" "Sibling of extreme pulverization", I'm pretty sure we can assume that's Super Smash Brothers. So it looks like they'll be replacing Rachel with Sandbag from SSB. I believe this is a fair and justified nerf and is actually an improvement upon the current list of changes for her.
  6. Gotta love when people are too lazy to mash out of Fukumetsu. Especially when it's twice in one combo. Really liked the tech bait at the end of the second match ftw.
  7. Awesome video so far. A lot of that is really fresh; this is the first time in a while a combo video has actually impressed me. The full guard gauge combo where you're switching sides all over Anji was totally sick.
  8. Hey now, love to see some fresh combos, especially after such a drought in the forum. Orbs into orbs is flash city as well. If I can drag my carcass off of TF2 I'll hit up training mode today...
  9. Either make 2D special cancellable by normal means, extend the range, or both. Right now the range just looks stupid with the animation. Give her her #R damage modifier back, or at least somewhere between #R and Slash. Dizzy can't currently run away effectively enough to justify her paper thin defense. Given her stun modifier I'd even go as far to say she's frailer than Chipp and Millia in certain matchups. Lazerfish moves kind of awkwardly now. I remember when AC first came out people were having problems setting up decent oki. Obviously we've come a ways from there, but I'm majorly nostalgic for #R Dizzy, so for me, it'd be nice if it was returned to how it was. FB Fish with 3 inputs. Spending a little tension for super solid oki or somewhat protected rushing should be what Diz is all about. I agree with your Airspike changes, I'm always a little shocked and confused when it disappears when I get hit. This would also allow for opportunities to get out of pressure when she has a spike out, and we all know Dizzy needs those. 2H's range needs to be extended a bit. Deciding whether to throw it into a string or not tends to be pretty nebulous. I also feel like her gatling strings don't have many options, largely due to the ranges on 2D and 2H Most people can probably tell I'm kind of yearning for #R Diz while taking the best parts of AC Diz.
  10. Ok, so I'm in the process of switching from pad to stick. I'm really happy with it, and I can definitely see how my game will be a lot tighter once I adjust completely. However, there's a few things with A.B.A that I just can't seem to adapt to properly, and I was hoping for some tips? The big one is the midscreen or corner 2HS, IAD j.S j.H Orbs. Very rarely does the j.H even come out. One thing I've noticed is that my IAD may have gotten lower with the stick, but it also seems like the j.S is coming out really late (but maybe I just never noticed that before). Could one of these things be the problem? That's actually probably the only thing. Dio throw combo is going well, Rekkas are fine with no accidental Goku morohas, dash jumps are fairly good. But without that midscreen BnB I feel like my game is lacking big time. Any tips?

  12. I think it's possible to catch some characters too early. I know at the very least that Sol and Eddie can tech if your j.P lands too early; they'll tech after the j.S. Unless I'm making a mistake here, which is definitely possible. Edit: Fail; it was a problem with the dash jump not coming out sometimes that caused them to tech, I think. More testing in effect. Anyway, while we're on the topic of the j.P throw combo, I'm having a hard time getting a superjump after the 2S. I have a feeling this is a "get a stick lol" issue, but anyone have any tips for working in the sj on a pad? Whenever I wind up actually getting one, my j.S turns into a TK Orbs

  15. Anyone know if Hahano is still making sticks? I contacted him about getting one a little while ago, and he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Doesn't look like his site has been updated in a while, apparently his "most recent stick" is from November of last year...
  16. I don't know, 4-6 sounds pretty accurate, maybe 4.5-5.5. Faust seems to have a lot of random CH knockdowns that can come out of nowhere, especially if you play stupid aggressive in Moroha like I do. IAD S or H is generally a big risk, as he can 6p, 2H, 5S, even 2d or 6H to ruin your day. Fullscreen he can scalpel skewer a bloodpack attempt, and depending on how early he gets it, force a burst or a knockdown. I feel like A.B.A's 5S doesn't beat out Faust's, I could be wrong though. Dash in 5H could be good for pressure, much like in the fight against Axl. Not much except his 5H (which is really unsafe) and maybe 2k can take you out of Danzai, so rush up Danzai/FB Danzai + Combo/Oki might be a good way to get something going. Also I'm stupid and get hit by doors ::8/: This is my most frequent matchup, so I'd love some additions/commentary...
  17. Wut? So you're saying that if you dash prime it in Moroha, she'll actually get in too close? Interesting. I haven't tried it, since it's a pain in the ass to test midscreen combos in training mode since the dummy always winds up in the corner.
  18. Quick question...do you guys dash prime the Dangoku FRC (ie, 236S, 46S, 63214HS 6FRC6), or do you just input the dash after the FRC (or RC, in my case ) goes off? I can't seem to get the dash prime down properly, and seeing as her Moroha dash is insane, I'm sure she could catch up with the ground sliding opponent in time. Not sure about normal mode though.

  21. I feel like FB Bubble lock = throw city...In most cases people aren't going to want to risk getting hit with the pop, right? Keep 'em blocking, possibly w/ an impending lazer fish, then dash in for the throw...Anyone know how the opponent is floated if you throw them with a bubble on them?

Hey, I could use a little help/advice here...I'm looking for A.B.A's official Slash char select screen portrait, you know, the one that's just the head and appears before each match...It's not at .ru, and Google searches are coming up empty either because I'm not really sure of the correct terminolgy for it, or it's just not there. Anyone have some ideas?
