Tier list discussions don't go well with me because I particularly don't pay them much attention, so I'm gonna have to sit this one out. They usually don't end well either, so in the event where people wish to talk about it in the wrong end, prepare to face my wrath.

Heh. Thanks anyway, I think my Valk is a lot more stronger this time around but hopefully the matches I provide from here on will be better. Kiba (VK) vs IxisNaugus (MU) At the same time, I uploaded some matches and though they are old, they still help. 4/5 Mato (TG) vs Zekuso DAISUL (NO) vs Zekuso 4/29 Zekuso vs Udon (HZ) Zekuso vs Isa (PT) Zekuso vs Konan (TS) Hima vs Nata Kishi (HK) Hima vs Supo (AR) Hima vs Tochigin (VK) Souji (AR) vs Tochigin (VK)

That's completely my fault then. Didn't realise there was a link there.

Originally you said that charging in the air is bad because of the damage you can get of it (although as Airk said it's a bad idea gainst anyone when you're close to them) but then your following post says this: It indicates that it's alright for us to charge. I wanted to know what made you think differently about this.

I play here at 49:27 and here at 58s and 14:30. Please excuse my wolf dash ins during pressure. It's really an accident, and it's annoying for that to keep happening. I'm still consistently messing up my TKs in combos....

[CS1-CSE] Tsubaki Self-Improvement and Critique Thread

What I normally do when I'm close to my opponent is 5BB > (2BB) > 5CC > 214A/236A > 22B. If you're not too close, omit the 236A/214A and use 22B, since it'll hit at max range and has the most untechable time out of the 3. When I say mobility, I mean more dashing, more IAD backwards and creating more space between you and your opponent so it's easier for you to charge and so that's its more work for your opponent to try and get you. Sorry I should've explained it better. Remember you can IAD backwards > j.CC to sorta 'glide'. If you're remaining stationary it's not too hard for the opponent to get onto you if you see what I mean. Using 236C to get underneath opponents is fine, but sometimes you may want to AA them, get your full combo, knockdown and oki. Exceptions apply of course, for example it's understandable if you were playing against Valkenhayn and Tager and used 236C to go under because they have options against your AA by either baiting it and hitting you. However if someone like Noel is jumping onto you, don't be afraid to AA them for time to time. j.214C is good to create more distance between yourself and the opponent too but try not to be obvious with this because they can AA you or even throw you out. It's better to use j.214C when you're opponent is right underneath you and you're trying to get out of the corner. Hope this helps and you're welcome. P.S I would've critiqued your Valk too, but Dreize covered everything. -
Here. 5C > 6C is obvious. Sometimes when I use 5C on block I use 6C, because 5C is -9 on block, so it's better than doing nothing. I do ocassionally use the 5C > 236B > 6D > stuff but I'm not fond of that and I'm only doing this because I used 5C on block. If all you do is 5B > 5C they'll learn to punish you in due time, hence why I say it's better to implement a faster/better mixup such as 5B > j.D > 3C > stuff (loses to mashing) or 5B > 3C. Personally I tend to use 2C > 6C or 5B > 6C because you have more options from those normals, but I really use 6C as a throw bait.

You seem to have some hitconfirms down but you didn't capitalise off the 22A CH you got at the start of the round, by following up iwth 5C > 2CC > air combo or ground ender. You also don't seem very comfortable with her in terms of mobility and because of that you're not charging much and you're letting the opponent get to you. You also need to pay extra attention to your spacing with hitting with 5B, because you whiffed 5BB a lot of times, and against an opponent who has more experience with Tsubaki, they would've punished you for it. You're also whiffing a lot of 5CC, and you should learn to use that when you're pressuring the opponent, because you're basically making it easier for your opponent to punish you. Try to get into the habit of using 22B for your combo enders because it has less recovery than 22A, meaning you have more time to charge or rush into your opponent if you wish. So your normal combos would be 5BB > 2BB > 5CC > 22B. There were some times where you'd use 236A during pressure, and there's also a greater tendency for you to use 236C when you're further away from your opponent. Both of which are dangerous as if the opponent blocks it, or if it whiffs, you're vulnerable. This applies to both matches against the Ragna and the Noel. The gameplay seems to be a little all over the place at the moment but remember: -Try to rushdown after a 22B or go for charge as it'll really strengthen your game -Pay attention to spacing and try not to whiff 5BB or 5CC -Avoid a reliance on 236C especially when you don't have charge to back it up. -Try to move around a little more. You look kinda stiff. -
I'm more interested to know what changed your mind tbh.

Online was killing me, but that last round was purely my fault because I didn't realise I had lost so much health and was sitting on two bursts. GGs nonetheless.

What troubles me more with Ragna is his normals which makes it difficult to approach him, especially if the player is patient. He also has strong defensive options too making certain wolf mixups really risky to use against him. Litchi can be a bad matchup for the reason you've stated. Lambda and Relius are definately in our favour. Lambda has to rely more on her normals than her drives in this matchup, because we can easily get around it. You can w[66D] her sickle storm and spike chaser and if done early and close enough you can get a hit on her or get her blocking. If you react late to Sickle Storm she will most likely try to 6D/2D you. With Relius you can punish him for summoning Ignis, and getting in isn't hard. However, I feel that Rachel and Taokaka are momentum based, as the match is dependant on who gets the first hit. I can't comment on the others, but Jin doesn't feel so bad.

The only one I've seen is Zekuso vs Aberenja. I haven't seen the others. Thanks for getting the videos.

I look forward to the amount of times you will have to repeat this to people. Kiba - London - United Kingdom - BlackJaguarXD - Blazblue (ocassional Tekken but irrelevant here)

I agree it's good to watch different players in order to identify strengths and errors, but remember the notable player list merely serves as a guide. I watch a lot of videos but other than the notables I'm down for catching matches from Kin Tager, Shiro or Kessoku Shi (Mr.Unity). Shiro may run out of wolf meter from time to time, but we all know that Uma No Hone and especially Masashi seem to be on and off in the sense that they have their days where they do some questionable things (not blaming them). I'm not one to really measure strengths here because for some unknown reason I can't really seem to measure if certain Valks are as good as others. I suppose we already have 4 good role models, but I guess that was another attempt at me trying to bring up a discussion here. I just want to make sure things are on the right track, because remember when I started this thread I had Suya and Nao on the notable players list! Ultimately I need to be careful with who I add to the list.

I don't enjoy it as much. I still play it casually at offline sessions if people want to play me however.

Welcome to the forum. If you want any games on P4 or BB you're more than welcome to ask here. I only play BB, but unfortunately my connection has been dodgy as of late so I won't be playing online, much. Be sure to check out Zoular's links to find players closer to you.

Yea I think this is going to be the biggest issue for all/most of us once we start haha! On a side note I do find wolf control much easier to handle on stick.
