Added the near fullscreen and back to corner combos but I'm keeping the post hidden to avoid clutter. It's safe for you to remove them now Dreize. 50, yea they're CP combos.

Alright. Valkenhayn's combos are really free form which means we could essentially be left which an essay of combos to try and learn. Give priority to Midscreen, Midscreen to Corner, and Corner combos because those are the ones that'll we be using the most since they're important. In the CP Valkenhayn guide that I'm going to make I'll make a post on the other types of combos. Back to corner combos are really gonna have really similar enders, but vary from starter to starter unless it's a fatal in which that's an exception. Hitting with a wolf starter with lower P1, such as w[5A/j.a] can probably go into the > w[5B > 5C > 6D > j.A > j.C > j.236B > 6D > j.B > j.A] > 5B > 236A > 2C > tk.214B > 6C route, while the better starters like w[5B] can go into > w[5C > 6D > j.A > j.236A > 6DD] > 2C > 6C route. If it's a human starter they will most likely have to go for the 236B > RC > 5C > wolf route but of course exceptions apply. Remove the Near fullscreen & back to corner combos. However, you've been so helpful in compiling the other type of combos so I really don't want to write them off, so I'll tell you what. I'll take those combos and I'll place it in the current CSE guide. When I modify the thread into the CP version I'll make it look much more presentable and I'll make a detailed post as to how people can use those combos. Finally, when listing combos, if the combo uses any resources and/or requirements (heat, requires crouching opponent or OD for example), do this (using the example combo against Tager): [TAGER ONLY/OD/50% HEAT] OD > 236C > 6D > 5D > 2C > 6C > 6D > 5D > 2A > 5B > j.B > j.214B > 6D > j.D > dj.A > j.C > j.236236C [??? DMG, ??? HG] I don't know about you but I've always liked to first identify how much resources one is using in a combo.

I knew something was up and I'm surprised I didn't spot it. Sorry, and sure you can go ahead and add it. I have various ideas as to how to modify the combo thread but when I come with a more concrete plan I'll get to it.

Masashi's latest gameplay was really good, and it provides some good wolf oki/setups which can be incorporated into CP play. Now with the Yawata Ace casuals, w[5C] is a perfect normal to use to bait DPs, which is why w[5C > 2C > 5C] is so effective. With proper spacing evidence shows it works against Jin's, Makoto's and Mu's DP, and I would be pretty bold to say that it works on all characters. You can also see how it doesn't work when using w[5C] up close since the DP beats Uguisu flat out.
-
I believe it's a mixture of both a set up and an OS. I think it was also shown in one of the CSE videos but since Jourdal's & PK's accounts were terminated I can't show you. When you use j.B > 3C > j.B > j.214B, the j.214B is supposed to whiff allowing you to catch your opponent with the command grab as they tech immediately from the j.B.

Yea 2CC won't work in that combo.
-
Honestly I don't like the use of it because I prefer to save the stock for more useful things but you have to take things into account such as the type of player you're up against and especially the character. If you're playing against Lambda or Mu it's more justified but if you're up against Tager there's really no need. There's no need to use the 236D extender on Valkenhayn and Rachel since a followup 236C works.
-
I do that occasionally. It's, not too bad.
-
Nope. It also depends on the starter. 5B/5C CH > 6CC > 214D 6A FC > 5CC > 6CC > 214D 6CC > 214D/236D These are just other examples where I would recommend the use of stock midscreen. If you hit with 5CC or 5BB I would recommend going for the 623C > j.214B(w) > hj.C combo because those are some really good starters and I feel you should make the most out of those, otherwise, you're stuck with the regular combo.
-
From 5B: -Midscreen = I don't use stock, I go for the standard bnb. -Corner = 5BB > 5CC > 623C > j.214D > 6CC > 236C > 214A > 22B. Nowadays I omit the 5C > 2C after 236C so I can go for the 6A force tech. Alternatively, I use 5BB > 5CC > 623C > j.214D > j.D > j.C > 5C > 2CC > 236C > 214A > 22B. I don't use 2 stocks from a 5B starter. From j.CC: -Midscreen = Again no stock. Standard bnb or jump loop combo if it works on the character. -Corner = Same 5B combo as above with one stock (j.CC > 5CC > 623C > j.214D > etc), or I may not even use any. With 2 stock I may opt for j.CC > 5C© > 22D > (3CC > RC ) > 6CC > 623C > j.236A(w) > J.214D > j.D > j.C > 5C > 2CC > 236C > 214A > 22B With the j.214B(w) > 6CC after j.236D, it's as Daedron said that you need to input it immediately. Do not delay it otherwise the 6CC won't connect (or it'll blue beat). A video demonstration is here.

Nah not from a w[5C] starter, but 7k from a 6B FC starter using OD, so it's not necessarily 'free' in that regard. I shouldn't have used it loosely like that. Though of course you can't do that combo against Jin's D DP because you'll most likely try to avoid the 2nd hit by going in the air and in that case you'll use j.C, or land and use something with faster startup like 2C. The alternative is to block the 2nd hit if Jin doesn't fully charge it, and in that situation 236C is your only reliable punish due to distance. So yea, 6B isn't very reliable here. I don't believe you've missed anything spectacular so don't worry.

Suuya showed a few notable things in his matches against Miya and Uma no Hone. First. - You can see here that w[5C] made Jin's DP whiff when spaced properly. This also happened against Makoto's DP in a Valk's match against Ice Storm. This has lead me to the conclusion that you can use w[5C] to kinda low profile most other character's DPs, but that's just an assumption. Would be good if it did though because that's a free 7k combo for us with OD. Second. - Minor but you see Suuya use a w[j.B] crossup on Jin's wakeup. It can lead into some decent damage but if blocked you can easily resort to standard followup mixup. You can also see it used here after 236B. Third. - You see here that 6C beats Relius' DD but it looks like there is a specific timing thing there goin' on. There is no confirmation as to whether it'll work during the startup of Valkenhayn's 6C for example. Still good to know though. Suuya displayed some good play. Fun to watch and I have been thinking of adding him to the notable players, again, lol.
