  1. @Cirno: Belated happy birthday dude! Never knew you can "install" 6 from 4AB into another 6 in BB (wasn't this similar to Bridget's in GG?). So far, I've only done this during pressure (on a blocking CPU in training mode >.>) swallowmoon dash cancel> j.b j.a j.a >land. I do wonder though, how many frames would you think will it take for Platinum to recover from a "lowest TK swallowmoon > barriercancel > land"? Because if the recovery time is fast enough, it MIGHT act as some sort of FDC from GGX for Platinum. 6a>triple bomb deals good damage for such a simple input, any idea how to lengthen it (with RC and without)? I've attempted to super jump cancel after triple bombing, but I can't get it to pat. Maybe you can =D (Fer cryin out loud, I'm having a hard time with 6b>dash>5c, so im sure you can do it) thanks
  2. I've been playing around with Platinum for some time (and ignoring my main Makoto for the time being, shame on me) and I noticed some stuff with Plat's Swallow Moon. I'm pretty sure everyone knows how this move can be applied as a pressure tool in a block string (or even as a combo reset if you are brave enough) when its been TK'd. But aside from doing a j.C/j.B from a TK'd Swallow Moon you can do two other things: pogo stick or barrier block. Now the pogo stick is pretty obvious as its an air special, what fascinates me is the barrier block cancelling. Doing a barrier block cancels out swallow moon leaving you with some pretty nifty air options, particularly air dashing. You can do a TK Swallow moon>barrierblock>airdash (2369C, 4AB, 44/66). I''m able to pull off the backdash, but forward dashing from a very low TK is near impossible (2/XX attempts here). I'm sure some of you guys can pull it off from a really low TK, but what i would like to find out is how practical is it to do this within block strings vs simply doing a j.B within a match. Just experimenting and asking.
  3. Midscreen you can also do this 2A 5B 5C 6C 214b~j.a j.b djc delayed j.b delayed 623c delayed and whiffed D [land] 5b 6a sjc j.b djc j.b 623c -omni posted a vid of this i think, i forgot where exactly. But this is makoto's standard wall carry combo, from one end of the sccreen to the other. CH 623C delayed D [land] 5b 6a sjc j.c j.b djc j.b 623c you wont be able to use this all the time since its a DP on CH state, but if you do land a 623C and you dont have meter to RC it to 236a~d or what not, then this might be the way to go CH j.B [land] 5b 6a 2d -> lightning arrows and orbs galore or CH j.b [land] 5b 6a jcancel j.b delayed j.b delayed 623c delayed and whiff D [land] 5b 6a sjc j.b djc j.b 623c -first one HURTS a lot, second one is a wall carry that deals 3k only. Nice to have combo i guess you can also parry then PF as niniheart demonstrated in his video.
  4. edit: my bad, its not a 214b~d, its a 214c~d. Was thinking of soemthing else didnt know you can link 2a with 6b though lol
  5. i use 214B~D though instead of C, still have a hard time connecting the next LA set. Saw that jB combo in the last round.
  6. Thanks, i'll try that one out later. At RC: OHHH that, ayt ayt got it.
  7. Excuse my ignorance, but how do i land a meterless 5k from a CH j.B? and also the "rapid to extend". I usually rapid now if im sure the BBS will kill off the opponent, pursue a long blockstring or to escape a move that leaves me too open. and number 5 as well I'll have to give props to the kune board members for pointing out my game, otherwise i'd never know there was something wrong to begin with hahaha:kitty:
  8. @nini heart thanks for the unbiased and unadulterated comments dunno if this is "playing" per se but here: Favor, please dont post any comments on the litchi, just focus on the makoto please. Though winning might not exactly be your definition of "playing" those are the only vids i have playing as Makoto. I really use Ragna in reality, but well... I switched thanks
  9. 5c might be super slow, but the invul it grants is a lot. Nah its not mean. BAd is bad, horrible is horrible, even I am admitting that, thats why i posted that video link there to get some help in improving my squirrel game. Redirected my question to the critique thread, thanks
  10. redirected from Arakune match-up thread Dunno if this is the right thread for this, just redirect please if its the wrong one, thanks. Lost pretty badly to an arakune player, heck even the arakune boards are all lolling at how horrible my game was (which was true, no air throw tech-ing, bursting at the wrong place at the wrong time) For more dissing info please check here Though I'm not really sure what they meant by doing footsies against arakunes. I dont like risking throwing air to ground moves for fear of 5C. Anyway here is the match vid, feel free to look at the rest and the entire channel. Kinda feel like lol for losing this badly on two occassions (winner's finals and grand finals) thanks in advance
