  1. Hi! alvare form Argentina here (I just went to Brazil this summer). Nice matches, nobody I play knows how to Zappa but that was definitely a nice Zappa (and maybe some Raou practice could help a lot) but I loved the ghetto mixups and even learned a little. The HOS players too, nice "in your face" style, I'd just suggest more blocking and consistency; I mean, I didn't even see them going for the standard basic combos, without CH or anything, like I think I didn't saw a single 2K out of a combo xP. But honestly, really good gameplay overall. Play more, play better.
  2. Good fighting games will always attract new players :D So, I can't tell you who to main, you'll have to find for your own and I'm saddened to inform you that you probably won't find your main it single player games, at least I couldn't. For example, there is no joy in frame trapping the CPU, but when I started playing jam in casual matches it felt fucking fantastic, and now I main her. Oh and BTW you can play AC on your PC, and even online. Try this links: https://sites.google.com/site/ggxxaconline/setup and http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?9940-GGXX-Accent-Core-now-(actually)-playable-online! Getting it working offline is really easy, any Dreamcast emulator will do, but online is a little tricker, I couldn't get it working on NullDC, just on DeMull (which btw doesn't work so bad like they say on that second link, I have played for 2hs straight without desyncs). If you have problems with your controller, assign the controls to the keyboard and use JoyToKey to map the controller to the keyboard. Good luck!
  3. Dude I have AC+ for PS2 and I've played the EX characters for like ... 1h in 3 years. Oh and Kliff and Justice ... 3hs in 3 years. Really, just go for AC.
  4. Hey Xie, your idea is great and I absolutely appreciate your effort, but ... well for example, if you randomly skip trough the video, there is a 60% chance of landing on you saying "uhhhhh", and that doesn't feel right. The way you do it is correct, talking to the audience in an almost interactive, like in a live show, but the problem is (I think) that you are alone, so you can't have the dynamic chat that for example Level Up Your Game episodes have. My opinion is that you should drop the "liveness" a little (not the streaming, just the "going unprepared part"), and plan a little more. BTW don't bother yourself with the time of the show, everyone can watch the recording (and even skip the loadings), that's not a problem. It's also my opinion that you should focus a little more in the technical aspects (frames), right from the beginning, to establish themselves as "important shit" and make following explanations easier. Keep up the good work!
  5. I don't give a fuck either, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't decide for a name. I like IDJ. Another thing, my friend doesn't seem able to install the updates, the "updater" (start.exe) doesn't even check for them on his PC (he has Win7). My guess it's the host is somehow "banned" in hosts.txt, because we have the same ISP, but if someone has dealt with this before, it could be very helpful. BTW I'm totally diggin' the wiki, keep it up.
  6. I played with a friend yesterday. I was using the baiken-like girl and he the sisters. It's a pretty damn FUN game ... Also I vote for "drop jumping", but just because it has nothing to do with a tri-jump or a fastfall. We should find something better, like "inverse-doube-jump-installing" but less stupid.
  7. Sorry I don't know where I'm supposed to post this, but Baiken's gatling table is obviously wrong (no 5S > 5HS) and I don't seem able to edit it :P (which is okay). Also a little more complicated maybe, but Sakura has high invul in frames 39-50 and the foot-note *3 isn't anywhere in the page (I think it goes in Baku's K Follow Up notes). Just saying because this details seem easy to fix and they would make Dustloop's frame data even MORE awesome :D
  8. I don't know if this is the right place to say this, but I found a kind of error: In Sol's frame data, the "clean hits diagram" is still linked to http://dustloop.com/guides/ggac/data/images/clean_hit_diagrams.html when it should point here http://dustloop.com/guides/ggac/data/images/cleanhit/clean_hit_diagrams.html (where it is). If someone can fix it ... thanks a lot, this dustloop's frame data is the best ever.
  9. I just come from a 25 winning streak with on DEmul . I gotta say that while it worked very nice (compared to other emulated fighters like 3S, SFA2 and JoJo on GGPO/Supercade), it makes no sense for real matches. FRC timing completely disappears with even the slightest lag, and that's inevitable (maybe on a LAN? even then the emulator isn't perfect). Anyway I had lot's of fun messing up the other's guy timing mashing FD, it seemed to make everything work shittier .. (don't do it in a serious match though, it was just for fun ).
  10. If I were you, I'd download the MIDI and work from there, I haven't found a single GG song in partiture format. Google will be your friend here, but this are 2 sites I know have some good songs: This one has Still in the Dark and the awesome London stage song from CVS2. VGMusic, lot's of game MIDIs. Your other option is to "translate" the guitar tab, because those are found everywhere, this kids today ... they all can play the guitar but only a few know what a minor chord is!
  11. lold at lonely Chilean, we Argentinians are lonely too
  12. Try Ky or Slayer or Sol, that's it. Slayer's Pilebunker is as good as all Bridget's attacks put together (except for the Fire Ring one).
  13. Look at your opponent.
  14. I remember that I read about BB being the "spiritual successor" (lol) to GG, and since I was into it I decided to watch a vid, and 720p on youtube just got me right away. Very nice graphics and a cool combo system, and I loved how detailed everything was. Now, you made me wonder: How did I get into GG ? I can't remember at all
  15. I can't read fucking UPPERCASE. Here, I fixed it: a) open cdvdgen. b) select “create new project” and then select “dvd-rom master disc”. drag cdvdgen to the left side of your screen. c) navigate to the folder that you created on your hard drive back in step 2 and open it on the right side of your screen. d) set the width of that window so that it is only 1 file wide. this will place the files into the same order as they were on the game disk but you should check them for correct order just in case. e) click on edit > select all. f) drag all the files into the right side of cdvdgen. g) look for a slus or sles file and write down the full name and then click on the “volume” tab in cdvdgen. h) type slus or sles (whichever your file name is) into the 1st box near "disc name" i) type all of the numbers from your file name, without the period, into the 2nd box. j) type playstation for the producer name and select the appropriate license area. k) click on "rec...". l) select your desired storage location and name the file star.iml m) you will get 2 errors, just click ok for both. (if you get one error message, then you have to download “wnaspi32.dll” www.nero.com/us/wnaspi32.dll.html and put it in your windows system 32 folder. n) the recording screen will pop up, click on file > export image and save it on one of your hard drives (not in a folder) name it star.lst o) when it's finished, you will have 2 files named star.000 and star.001 p) close cdvdgen and go to step 4. q) merge the .000 and .001 files into a single iso image. the easiest way to merge the files is from a command screen. you won't have to install an extra program that may need extra files to work and come on, admit it, dos is so much fun!! r) click the windows start button and click on run. s) type cmd in the box and hit enter. t) change the directory to match where your star.000 and star.001 files are stored. example: if they are on the c drive, type cd c:\ and hit enter. if they are on another drive, type the drive letter with a colon and hit enter. u) once you have the correct directory-type copy/b star.000 + star.001 star.iso and then hit enter. v) when it's finished you will have a new iso image named star.iso that you can now burn in step 5. w) burn the new iso image onto a blank dvd.
  16. You just need to move the stick faster. Then practice smashing even faster. Slowing down is for bears. Do you wanna be a bear or a cool mosquito?
  17. Emmm, any way to convert this tabs to partiture/sheet music (maybe a MIDI file)? I'd love to see Jin's theme partiture, or any song actually. I'm very slow at translating tabs :S, always played on partiture, guitar and piano (and others).
  18. I made this shit, not useful for a wallpaper though (lol contrast, and resolution, I always forget this isn't 2001 anymore). http://i1207.photobucket.com/albums/bb472/clrndalvare/Noel_BB_2.jpg
  19. Yeah I was asking for exactly this type of tricks, the Potemkin one sounds cool! But still, don't hitting them on wakeup just once when their health is low is fatal, they recover it extremely fast. Well, I gotta practice.
  20. "not kill them" like in time-out? I actually didn't even look at the clock, but supposing there is infinite time, what's left?
  21. Any tips on how to kill GLD/REG enemies in story mode or whatever ? IK works quite well, but it has a lot of luck involved (some people call it skill) and for Sol's good ending you need to no-continues-whatsoever, and kill I-No (and maybe Slayer) gold regenerative. Also I have only killed GLD/REG enemies with IK or with infinite tensions, could never do it "right" (like kicking their asses).
  22. When an attack "Prorates 80%" it means that when used as a combo starter, the damage of every attack after it will cause 20% less damage. "Forced Proration" means it will prorate the following hits even in the middle of a combo. This because 2K is a bitch.
