A few weeks ago me (playing Sol) and kekken (Zappa) recorded a lot of matches (casuals, so some matches may not be played 100% carefull). We were recording the whole night. But this will be ok for now. :P More matches (the earlier ones) will come as soon as I get to see them too, because kekken has all the stuff and he just choose the fights for now. Anyway, some moments can be a little random, since were both testing stuff. This were recorded pretty late in the night. The ones recorded earlier will come as soon as I get to see them too (cause kekken has all the stuff) and he just kinda randomly choose some fights because we were recording the whole night. As soon as everything will be uploaded, I'll probably post this in the Guilty Pleasures section too. But you can see at least something for now.

@ShinBlade: Those are some pretty old matches there. Around 4-5 months old. I've pretty much improved since then too. I'd be fun to play against you, but I'm not from America I'm afraid. If we meet someday. And what's FRXI? If it's in Europe then there's a chance I'll join. @ken2900: If they mash, things become even easier, hehe.

Oh, you mean that. Well, like you said, it depends from the opponent. If they concentrate on that, you should slightly change your style . Not much to argue here.

Thanks guys. I'll post the new vids as soon as I can. Now I'm nailing all the combos at least 90% of the time. I really hated the japanese version even though you did a little more damage. And bandit revolver from max range is safe even if IBed. I think it can only be punished by Sol's 5K if IBed. From close range is obviously a free throw. :P From the vids I've seen here, I must say A.M.K/Koichi>all's Sol is the best. You really did a nice job in your vids, especially in the newer ones. Other Sols aren't bad either. I kinda liked ShinBlade's Sol too.

It's mainly me vs kekken (Zappa). It's the american version so the sidewinders are easier to land there. ;P

At last year's 23v23 isa eliminated about 16 people with Ky. I think that says something about his skill level. ;P

If Potemkin tries to poke Sol from midrange he can easily be iADed because his pokes don't have good recovery on whiff. 2S is good when he tries random Slideheads (other pokes work too, but Slidehead has some upperbody invc. so it may beat them) And at neutral, Sol isn't playing Potemkin's game. Gunflame (without FRC) can really help in this matchup (more than in other matchups) because of Potemkin's immobility. He can do hammerfall (sometimes you're even able to recover) or 236P, so you shouldn't get too greedy. Sol vs Potemin is pretty even IMO. It's a match of big patience.

You're probably not fast enough. And on some characters is harder to do it (mainly Ky, Robo-Ky and almost impossible on Johnny)

You need to dash before the j.d, so it goes like WT > 66 j.d > CLSW

Using only j.s/j.hs oki makes your options kinda too limited so it's a lot better to use some high/low mixup when you have the chance. It's better to start with j.h/j.s to be sure they're blocking, and if they are, then it's better to start doing the high/low mixup (but not too much, so you become predictable and they DP you). Against characters without a DP you can use this more. ;P

It seems you don't understand Sol well. His game is not based around overheads (high/low mixup), but rather around his Wild Throw. The main goal is not make the opponent move so he can get caught by it, so you use things like frame traps and lots of lows (like late meaty j.s,2k,2d to prevent people from trying to jump, backdash, mash certain motions, etc) His high/low (land 2k/2d or late airdash j.s,j.hs/j.d) mixup is more situational and is only good from certain knockdowns. His 5D is only good to throw once in a while when you did enough of everything else. And Bandit Bringer isn't a move to use in the high/low mixup, but it's useful to catch backdashers and hit people when you know their 'patterns', it's also good when you recover from a burst, it may surprise people.

Yeah, that kinda sucks, but you can still do 200+, which is good enough for me.

I'd like to point out something that I haven't seen yet. If you score a CH 2D and miss the Gunflame FRC to combo, you can do FB Fafnir and continue to combo if you can hitconfirm and if you're fast enough. Just in case if anyone didn't know..

It's nice to see isa with Sol again. The last round against kaqn was really tight. I thought he'll drop him again (like he did in /S) because he played Ky and Eddie in the older update. :P

It's not an overhead. He used it as an anti reversal-throw trick I'd say, since it's airborn form the first frame.

Someone in the video discussion thread once said that the player is isa I think, but I'm not sure, I could be wrong, since it kinda long time ago. But anyway, it's pretty safe to say that the player is isa, if you watch his matches you can be sure of it. If you watch his match vs KA2 in AC, or the other team match with 012 you can see. His playstyle is pretty uniqe and you can see it's him. :P The Danzai Zappa, Danzai Red etc was probably a joke for the team name I'd say. I've also managed to find another old team match where he plays with ABEGEN (PO) [He was in the other team in the Youtube match] and another PO. He plays quite the same. As far as I remember, people quoted him as Isa. Everyone in the the team translates as Danzai *insert word*. Also the playstyle is exactly the same (and color).
