Yeah, it's unfortunate that her FC still falls short compared to a 5C starter, it does allow you to extend her combos a slight bit but due to the proration the damage is still lower in most cases, especially cause extending her combos beyond the "norm" generally means you can't do a DD at the end, which is a pretty big chunk of damage. And yeah, good luck hitting with j.236D, even though I really wanna try to start a combo with it at least once just for fun in a real match xD
  2. Ah yes, my mistake. Both non-counter and counter stagger but on a counter hit the stagger lasts about 3-4 times as long before the opponent collapses and can tech out.
  3. It only does that on counter hit, on non-counter the opponent just falls over only allowing for a j.214D followup. It's not like you will be hitting with a j.236D anyways though, the chances of ever getting a counter hit with j.236D is really small, though I was surprised by the decent proration on it.

  6. Tsubaki Challenge mode mission 6-10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHqbl5izCx4 Looks really really easy, and from all the videos we've watched so far there are definately better combos than these. Still...these are all off of a 5B or a throw so I guess that makes it a lot less shabby.
  7. Meh, after a week I am already done with this game. Getting tired of the easy to do basic combos that result in 600K+ damage, yet a really hard one only does a measly 100K more, nice way to balance things Crapcom. Sentinel is broken, X-factor is broken, Advance guard pushes too far back, chip damage is too high, Doom hidden missles is lame, sentinel assist is lame. Back to a good game called BB, Bang and Litchi aren't even 10% as broken as the top characters in this game, unbelievable.

  10. According to the loketests it was only upper body invis...but this obviously isn't. Makes me happy that it's not as useless now.

  12. There's a 1 frame gap inbetween 5BB, any character that has a 1 frame startup move with some invis can hit you out of it, Lambda's Gravity seed and Tager's 720 are the biggest offenders ;/
  13. Yeah, looks like you can't get punished for it on normal block, though you'll still have to block afterwards looking at things, it's not some move that has massive + frames, maybe -1 on block? I also hope to god people can't use moves inbetween a normal 5BB gatling on NORMAL block anymore, getting 720'ed for doing 5BB is seriously lame
  14. Hmm, that Tsubaki sure as hell loves the 236x moves. Also, did I just see 236236C going through a 5A? Does it have invis frames now or what? She seemed to use it right as 5A was about to hit...so hmmm ;/

Let's see...you really need to airdive way less unless you KNOW you're gonna get a counter hit on your opponent, j214x series is way unsafe on block and will get you punished by anyone half decent. Jumping over Lambda's 214D and then airdiving in the hopes of hitting her is something you should not be doing, the only thing Lambda needs to do is swat you right out of the air with a sword into a combo that would deal more than if you hit her, if you decide to jump over it do not use any moves in the air and just block. 236236C has no invis frames so don't try to use it to counter other moves, it'll get you hit 99% of the times. Your combos need a lot of work as well, but Diospyros already touched on that subject. I will just add that if you hit with 5B as starter and want to use a charge in that combo do : 5B - 5CC - 22D - 6CC - hjc - j.B - j.C - jc - j.CC - j.236A - j.214A = 3121 damage I would also advise to use the j.B in any air combo you do, it increases the damage of pretty much every combo you'll be doing (though I bet there are some exceptions, so instead of doing for example 6CC - hjc - j.C - jc - j.CC - j.236A - j.214A use 6CC - hjc - j.B - j.C - jc - j.CC - j.236A - j.214A adding the j.B adds at least 100-ish damage to most combos and for me it's way easier to hit after a high jump than a j.C Also, if you think the 2nd hit of 2CC won't hit, do 2C - 5B - *air combo*. don't try to do 2C - 5B - 2CC - *air combo* from midscreen, that only works in the corner
  17. You have to wait a bit before inputting the j.214D. I would say about half a second.
  18. Not a whole lot of activity in here so I guess I'll keep some of you busy, videos of me playing against a Tager and...I played 25+ matches against him but never won one... I made videos of 8 of these matches, I mainly need help when I'm magnetised, I feel pretty helpless when I am. The only thing I'm going for is IB'ing sledge and a few of his other moves so I can punish with 5A. But the longer it takes me to do that the higher the chance of me getting 360'ed, 720'ed or hit by his lows and/or overheads.   19. Picked Tsubaki as my main after playing Jin on CT, she's just too much fun to play. charge cancelling is fun to do and her combos look flashy and are easy enough to put together. Also, unblockable shenagians
  20. Some more Tsubaki changes +214A/B/C/D has upper body invincibility. Can be used as semi-anti air now? + If a special move is blocked, she can cancel it into a D special move. more 22D shenanigans, and this might make some her specials a little bit safer if you have charge. Might make for some easy counters if your opponent thinks they just blocked a punishable move + j.236C can be used as cross-up. *Don't know about this, can you combo after it?* - 236236D does not have invincibility anymore. You lose your charge gauge even if you are hit before hitting the opponent. I think we already knew about the invis loss. Last part makes me sad, though you shouldn't be using her DD outside of a combo much anyways.

  22. Thanks everyone, I just moved to stick so doing that mini-dash isn't something I'll hit anytime soon, I'll stick with only using it in the corner for now. The other combo does look like a nice alternative, I can't quite get the 236 motion after a 623 that fast yet (due to not used to stick) but I'll work on it untill the patch hits =)
  23. Even though most of the stuff won't work anymore soon(ish), I'm still interested in a certain part of the 2 charge mugen combo that apparently works from mid-screen as well. It's the first half of the combo: 22D - 6C - 214214D - 623D - j.214D - 236D - dc - 2CC - etc. This apparently works from midscreen (kinda further than mid even), yet I can't get the 236D after the j.214D to hit at all. I've tried this so many times yet there's something I must be missing, I do it the moment I hit the ground but they can tech right when I reach them (it's like the 236D misses by a really really small margin). This doesn't seem character specific since I tried it out against the character I originally saw this being used on: Rachel.   24. Thanks for the help Kiba, I'll try to keep my blockstrings a lot shorter from now on, and I guess I should drop 6C - jc as well considering how unsafe it can be during it's startup. Also I dunno why I don't use 2C against Tager, probably some old habit I haven't unlearned yet, I use 2C a lot against other characters but not the slow ass tager. I'm gonna go ahead and say his j.2C beats Tsubaki's 2C though right? @Seyu: Your name's familiar but I can't really remember, I am from Europe though so our connection would have been good indeed. Especially since I'm in the country right next to yours =) (Holland)
