when i was playing ct i didnt know what the fuck was going on so i cant talk about that but the reason i picked up jin in cs1 was cause i was a low tier whore. then i realized how to play fighting games and realized jin was the best choice for me and he has been getting cooler and cooler with each installment imo. i think if they wanna make jin a good character they should improve his fireball game and make his ex moves really good not just the occasional use but so good you actually want to use them a lot. also do you guys think its better to have 6d break a primer or 2d break a primer cause i cant decide which is better @hoshi i imagine its still in cs2 @jourdal if your talking about csx then ive done over 5k with him

bottom line with tager is once he gets in he is scary and thats how it shouldve always been. but it is gonna be hard for him to be top tier because he is a grappler and grapplers get zoned really bad but what was it about cs1 jin that everyone loved so much because in my opinion the only thing they did right about cs1 jin was make his combos depend on meter i dont like how they did it(with the d dp combos) but it was the right idea. the same thing with the ex fireball mixup

ok so first off i just wanna give Toasty my soul for doing that but i totally forgot to mention in this thread before that i was talking to urichan(i think its spelled that way?) and he was saying that he would be ok with doing the combo thread and that i should make this thread into his character walk through and i am ok with this cause i know urichan would put great detail into the combo thread as he has experience doing it before the only problem is that he doesnt wanna make it until we have our hands on the game so i guess ill keep this thread updated with combos but dont expect much as uri will have the much better combo thread in the near future. EDIT: also #12 says 2b>2b i was thinking this was supposed to be 5b>2b

ya i contacted the guy who posted that and asked him if he could translate the jin one for me he said he would have it done last night but i haven't heard from him since then also i will be switching to ragna when cse comes out

well the main possibility that bugged me was that if you do c dp and carl makes it whiff while you rapid off of Nirvana than he can hit you with an attack for pressure and your meter was wasted but as i thought about it more i think all of the reversals are all good options against carls unblock for many different reasons. my main advice in this match up is to use your heat defensively and only for damage when you are gonna kill him since his health is so low

good shit Jake but i have just one question is this the c dp or d dp cause i imagine with the c dp he could just land and backdash or just walk back to whiff bait...im guessing you could rapid off of the doll as the doll should be in the middle of 3d but the carl will still get you in pressure and while thats better than just eating the unblock you could just ice arrow it and avoid the possible os and make the carl commit to the bait unless he wants to eat 4-5k. of course this is assuming that carl can whiff bait c dp by walking back
