Oh what a nice joystick....$210 dollars? Noooo...... -
And the art keeps getting worse. What's with Ragna's shoulder there? It sticks out poorly.

No, comcast. So unless comcast is using satellite connections to the Appalachian mountains, no. Can you please stop assuming that everyone who complains is using a wireless router? It's annoying and unhelpful. Also, here's the thing. It's true that a lot of people don't have great connections. But if you're making an online game, you do not say "Well, everyone playing our game is either going to have the best internet connection, so let's not bother making the best netcode we can." You say "Wow, a lot of people, due to various circumstances, do not have great internet connections. We might have to put some effort in to optimize the netcode so the most people can use it."
-
I almost always get 0 bars. Even when I occasionally get more than that, I still have bad lag. Of course, I'm in the mountains. I would appreciate having the netcode fixed up a bit to help.

I mean with other Americans.

Yeah, but depending on where you live, truly good connections are ridiculously over-priced or just not available at all. Let me say this: I can't stand playing BBSEX online. I hate even the tiniest bit of delay, so I never go on. With Skullgirls though, I can go online and get a good match that I like. I get bad matches to, but skullgirls is much better. Is there something wrong with wanting them to improve their netcode when we know it can be done? They could always make it worse; by your logic, so long as a good match can be had if you both have great connections, there's no reason to strive to make the game better. GGPO doesn't make the netcode perfect, but it helps a lot. Personally, I don't mind rollbacks; it just looks like a quick hiccup. And while that's not good, I LOATHE input delay. As such, I'll trade frame delay for the occasional hiccup.

You know what lol means, right?

So anyone see the awesome new video data base? What do you guys think of the Extend combo videos?

So, you're a monstrous bio weapon now? Cool! How many mouths do you have?

[Xrd] News & (Theoretical) Gameplay Discussion
Narroo replied to Shinjin's topic in Guilty Gear General
Of course to someone who's been playing for years, the mechanics they've been practicing for years are easy. That's a silly argument. For instance, doesn't this look easy, to the player who's playing it? This person spent an incredible amount of time practicing this and it's probably not too difficult for him. What about this? So let's say we made a game designed around that Duo-Play of Ikaruga. Would that be a good game? No. It can be done, but the difficulty in mastering it is so immense, almost no one would want to play it. In general, the difficulty of a game should not be based around how easy it is for master players that devote years to it because they fall in love. Pretty much anything humanly possible becomes easy after enough practice, and you'd be surprised by what is possible. Rather, the difficulty should be gauged by how hard it is for people who aren't masters to learn. The alternative makes no sense. -
Wouldn't it be Slayer vs. Ratchel?
-
He just said it poorly. Basically: A lot of people have a 360 and a PS3, so even if they didn't make a 360 version, a lot of 360 owners can still play it anyways. Depending on their demographic, that may mean there are not too many people who are strictly limited to the 360 version. Thus they may not loose many sales. This is hypothetical though.

But, isn't holding to tech the same as mashing, but more reliable? -
Then again, Terumi is an observer. So he could be like Ratchel and remember everything.

Of course the little girl is the only one who can beat up Azreal. It's appropriate.

So, there's kinda a best image in his Aura. Will Kagura, ragna, and Hazama be forming a best trinity?

So, for the people that dislike the dub: Are you actually fluent in Japanese, or do you just not like the lines or voices? Because some people, when talking about dubs in general, seem to give off a sense of elitism that says: "The original Japanese must be better, even if I can't understand it!" Which I always find a bit off, because if you need to read subtitles to understand what a character is saying, you're not listening to the voice acting.

Is that even related to Guilty Gear in anyway though? -

I got a regular 3DS because of the resolution. It's nice. -
I agree with this. I recall seeing guy play DW and there being this SUPER fabulous guy that would fit perfectly.

...He's voicing Leviathan in Skull Girls. It was so disappointing; he does a terrible job at it. If Jin turns into a JYB too...I don't know what will happen!

It was one of those Mortal Combat rips off fighters. Had claymation and everything. It's catch was that the fighters were beasts or monsters or something. -
Well, if you want to stayfree, why don't you get a bit of that interview up? ....I made a pun! ....I'm going to burn for an eternity!

The question though becomes: Is it difficulty excessive? What if GG's combos consisted purely of 1-Frame links with no buffer. You COULD learn how to play it if you really wanted to. Or, you could just find something better to do. So the question of the day is: "Is Guilty Gear in a good spot in terms of difficulty, or can we make it better?"
