I've played a few games online and I've had one lag experience. It was pretty much unplayable. All my other games have been awesome tho. Win or lose, comp has been very respectful and fairly good as well. Mind you, I'm coming from MvC2 where cable scrubs and ragequitters run rampant. I'm just glad I don't have to deal with that anymore and I'd gladly take a couple of laggy games out of 20 then go back to playing mahvel

Just got it last night and boy am I rusty. All my practice with Johnny from before is not showing at all. On the plus side, I still feel very comfortable with Zappa. I've missed this game so much. If anyone wants to play, my psn is: houndiest Just say you're from dustloop so I know.

If you get bored of arcade mode on maniac, you can try what I used to do to train. Try survival mode. It gets increasingly more difficult and it give you a chance to try different techniques under higher pressure than just arcade mode. I used to do it all the time and my Johnny showed great progress against friends

I think we all need to chill and wait. There seems to be a new interview every month or so and all of them seem to be very ambiguous about the future of guilty gear. Let's just keep on doing what we've been doing: trying to keep scenes alive as best as possible in our area (right now as far as i know i am the ONLY person still playing in my area)and hoping they release AC with online on ps3/xbox. I think we can all agree we don't NEED a new guilty gear as much as we just need the accessibility to fight other people without having to drive for an hour or two play good comp or any comp at all. This isn't like mvc2 or blaz blue where you can use capcom assist and AHVB or tager spam and get wins. You need skill to play GG. Period. There may be cheap tactics in the game but in order to use them you have to be halfway decent. Like I said, let's just chill and see what happens, either way we're still gonna be playing GG.

Yo yo yo! I just got a ps2 and I have AC soif anybody in the Rochester area wants to play give me a shout and/or holler. This Rochester thread is as dead as Bernie Lomax. I'm beginning to wonder if anyone plays guilty gear anymore...

Really? Is our scene really this dead? If ANYBODY sees this let me know. I'm getting my car back and I'd be down to drive to buff if necessary. I just wanna play some guilty gear and meet up with other people that play guilty gear.

I think we all agree that AC with online is the best idea. I gives the guilty gear players easy access to other players, it doesn't take away from blaz blue playrs because they've built a pretty strong fan base and all the guilty gear guys(including myself) will stop bugging daisuke about a new guilty gear. I mean seriously, since the scene in my city died I've tried ssf4, bbcs, mvc3 and I've even resorted to going back to mvc2 to feed my fighting game fix. Right now I'm in the process of buying a ps2 just so I can play AC by myself in survivor mode. I don't want a new guilty gear, I just want AC online.

Yo! Used to play bbcs for a while but I didn't know there was a scene in Rochester so I got rid of it. I'd be down for some meet ups. Might make me pick it back up. I also play guilty gear, though I haven't played in a while I'd LOVE to get back on it. I'll keep an eye on the thread to see what's going on. Let's get this Rochester scene back in action!

so i was up last night and i was doing: 66xx214b(fatal)>66xx214c>2c(jc)>j.2a>j.2c>2c(jc)>j.2a>air dash>j.2a>throw>falling j.2c>j.214b>throw i wanted to know if this is worth the stars? it does around 8200dmg on bang. i get a lot of fatal counters when i 66xx214b and i just came about this combo bs'in around last night. the combo starts with 6 stars and i pick up an extra one during combo to make the j.214b possible at the end.

maybe there's a way to start a thread and have people click a button if they want the game on next gen systems. we do polls all the time on here and they do them on srk too. i think everyone wants this happen so lets do it together and as other people stated in an organized fashion. oh glorious daisuke, i hope you're reading this. please bring guilty gear to my ps3 for online play. i'm begging you! i love mvc2 but its just not guilty gear. since i started playing no other fighting game has mattered.

i wish the rochester scene was still going...

i was playing the computer jo today and while we were in the air i did jk-js which connected and when i went to do a hs the computer techs out and hits me with a enkasu. the confusing thing was that i was directly in front of him. is this just a glitch or is there something about 1-hits i don't know? i also noticed that my trajectory from it sent me away from him as opposed to up and i still couldn't tech(i shouldn't be able to tech anyway since it's a 1-hit i was just noting that i couldn't)

very true. i may have to try some variations to see if i can get a coin>combo>knockdown>mist

i suck at SB but i love IB..i'll have to practice a lot more in order to get that manly feeling..haha

not sure if this was posted yet: with opponent just out of corner - k-s-hs-MSJH-2k-2s-LMF2-tk enkasu-mist(frc). i'm not sure of the damage but i can check later.

I play pad and I used to have L1 as an frc button..recently I've just been using my thumb to hit PKHS because that's the only way to do dbt frc with jo who is my main. I've also noticed that since doing this my frc's come out a lot better and I have been hitting ones that I was having more trouble with more consistently. I remember playing stick at the arcades when I was younger but I've never really been good with sticks. I feel a lot more comfortable with a pad so I know how some people feel. It might take some getting used to but this method works very well. I even play against people that play stick and as far as I can tell it hasn't hindered my play at all. But that's another story all together...haha
