Iirc, most normals (if not all) and a good amount of specials (but not all). And I think specials have a certain time frame for YRC's (kinda like FRC's but alot more lenient) or you just end up with a PRC. -

From Zinac's twitter, translating some of Nemo's thoughts: "He feels that long ranged characters have a lot of uses for the new RCs, but people who play short ranged characters will be unsatisfied. The cancels add more strategy for those long ranged characters, going to be hard for short ranged characters to approach." Although I do believe that the new RC's system with shorter ranged characters is not as explored because the strategies aren't as obvious. I also believe that there is definitely potential advantage for shorter ranged characters when it comes to RTSD and CQC; I already have quite a few ideas I'm keeping to myself for now lol. -

Tbh I didn't think the game ran that slow judging from the footage. The nerf to speed isn't as bad as any game out there. Take KoF13 for example, it's way slower and floatier than past KoF's but it still turned out to be an enjoyable game. Xrd is still faster than SFIV; BBCP; KoF13 and many other games out there. Also, there might be some wisdom to the pace. Either way, even if most our worries are true, I still think there's enough in there that it'll still be a good game...and we should support it regardless, because Xrd isn't a cop out. -

The slowdown would only be acceptable if the announcer screams 'DAANGER TIIIIIIIIIIIME' as it happens. Seriously though this mechanic seems to aimed at spectatorship more so than anything, it should rile a crowd; and GG isn't repetitive by nature so it won't always lead to the same result but we'll see. -

Yeah these was my very first concerns regarding the new RC system; I just hope that they get things right by the next iteration...although having that mentality is a problem in and of itself. Dude calm down... -

Wow, that info has got me real hyped! I absolutely adore attention to detail and variety like that. One last thing about BS's though, I hope the confirmation is short enough that if you aren't fast enough or don't have your wits about you, then you miss your chance. I don't want it being like BB's gold bursts where you get an infinite time to hit confirm. You gotta work for that shit till the end and I don't want it ruining the pace of the game. -

I made more bullet points mainly to further expand on certain points; because one weakness is more significant than a generalization implies (i.e, regarding baits, YRC counteracts the reactionary element of a BS, and maybe ranged attacks or projectiles too which leads me to my next query...) What I'm also wondering however, is what kind of range a BS repel has. Like how does it interact with a long range poke like Axl's chains? Is BS'ing actually a detriment when it comes to projectiles? 25% just to absorb a projectile seems like a waste in most situations. Also, I'm wondering if it has a hitbox like a dead angle or if it's like some kind of forced push-block mechanic that pulls off the repel no matter what...it'd be funny seeing Axl being put in that state from across the screen, gives you a chance to get in. -

Yeah I was thinking about that, but then I thought of instances like Sol BS'ing and attack, then just running in and Wild Throwing the opponents BS lol. I dunno maybe this could actually work in the favour of those with command grabs? Pot can BS, hammerfall cancel in and either attack or Pot Buster...seems scary -

Well let's break down the strength's and weaknesses, Strength's: -Easy to time/pull off -Good reward for landing them -Adds versatility to defense; can be a great option for an offensive option that'd otherwise be too hard to deal with/'cheap' (like if this was AC, Eddie's blockstrings would be a whole lot harder to pull off) -Strong defensive option that's easy to use for newbies/casual players Weaknesses: -Can be grabbed -Costs 25% -Becomes an obvious option especially in certain scenarios -Can become a bad habit which is easily exploited -Can be baited and that's 25% wasted -Can be especially easy to bait thanks to the addition of YRC's, even on reaction if performing a slower move -Still not guaranteed anything if opponent also has 25% meter (though should make for some cool mind games) It kinda reminds me of the shields in KoF12, except with greater reward and less risk; however the KoF12 version didn't use meter so... I think it's pretty interesting atm; I wanna hear hands on experience of it first before forming more of an opinion on it though...and we already have some hands on people so let's be patient -

Well what we don't know about this Ky yet is his Stun Edge game, and with the seals...well, he might be closer to his Slash self when it comes to zoning and corner pressure eh? Edit: (i.e like Banoffee said, his neutral game may be really strong, and coupled with good damage maybe more than make up for what he's lost). -
