  1. Are you coming from a fighting game background or is BB your first?
  2. Days? Months? Weeks? Fortnights? I'm definitely nowhere near good with Tao >< Drop soooo many drive loops and can't land taunt loops consistently. It's all kinda discouraging but w.e. Oh, and are you coming from a fighting game background? I'm not :/
  3. Welcome I had a bit of a problem with drive loops myself (still do actually >___>) You may be hitting 9d too late and as such, the j.c is hitting to late. Continue to hold 9 throughout the loop (until you get to the 236bbbbb bit, obviously) but after hitting 9d, try noticing a visual cue. For me, I try to base when I should hit j.c on how much she has rotated after landing landing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToRZmskvfro ~ Look at the first combo of this vid and towards the end, he does the drive loop [ (j.c -> 9d~9)x2 ]. Compare his Tao's moves (and probably his hand timing) to your own, ignoring the 2d~6 that's before his Cat Spirit 2. For me, I was pressing buttons much too quickly. And one last bit of advice that seems to be helping me: I tend to mess up 2 inputs and move to 1, thus making Tao land immediately and speed towards the direction of her opponent. To remedy this, I actually hold 3, as it 3d~9. Hope some of this gabble helps ><
  4. Ok, I actually managed to land 4 or 5 TLs today *is rather proud of himself* I noticed on the first page that for some of the combos, it's suggested that I used the "max" number of taunt loops. How would I go about knowing how many is the max? Sorry if it was already stated and I missed it.
  5. Sorry. Was looking at the first loketest thread :/ "Note: If a change is not list in a recent loctest, but was in previous ones, assume the change was removed."
  6. Just to confirm, the loketests are inclusive right? Like, everything from loketest 5 on back will be included?
  7. Is it worth me learning TL since apparently it's getting nerfed in CS2?
  8. Yo. It's Kbob/Justin ("Bob" has a silent K in front of it ;) )

  9. Good stuff. Gonna be heading up with with a group of BB players.
  10. Makes sense. Thanks
  11. Sorry for the never-ending noob questions, but what exactly does "-> ... ->" mean?
  12. Tourny in Gboro, in case no one's seen it yet. http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?10464-Lucky-s-Revival-Greensboro-NC-11-13-2010

I mean really this makes sense >.> Even if you cannot bring a setup, help the tournament and the community out simply by assisting in providing the Games, Televisions and other things that could be difficult to gather. The setup waiver is for those who go out of their way to help by providing an entire functioning unit to assist the tournament in operating as quickly and efficiently as possible. -- There has been an impressive amount of interest for Tekken 6 to be in the tournament as well. Discussion is being made for it. Even if tekken 6 is not officially represented, it will more than likely still be run as an unofficial side tournament. News on the decision will come at the end of the week. (by Friday, October 29th) EDIT: Tekken 6 will be run on the side as an unofficial tournament for those who are interested.
  14. And I'm guessing the -> ... -> means pause, yes? Thank you for the update. Yeah, I got that combo from the CT Taokaka Guideline for Dummies thread ^^;;;;;
  15. Still extremely terrible with Tao and have a(nother) question about drive loops: With 4b+c -> 236cc -> 2d~9 -> j.c -> 9d -> j.c -> 9d -> 236bbbb, are the 9d's suppose to be hitting or just the j.c's?
  16. Missed the BB Was it recorded and if so, where?
  17. Today at 1p EST ^____^ Gonna watch some peeps Blaz some Blue.
  18. So no live BB Well, a recording's better than nothing
  19. Yeah, will BB have a separate stream?
  20. justin.tv/toptiergaming Not sure why the had *.org :/
  21. No one in the Charlotte area?
  22. @RinHara5ak Well, I've been able to pull it off with Ragna a few times, but perhaps those were just lucky breaks :/ I'll find out tonight if I have more luck with Bang. (And btw, your visual guide on Youtube is amazing!) @Itzwiitard (If I'm understanding you correctly) Possibly... When are the new combos/version update/whatever's suppose to be happening suppose to hit consoles? And thanks you everyone for the help どうもありがとうみんなさんm(ー_ー)m
  23. For Tao's Challenge Mode #4 part 1 (5b -> 6a -> JC -> j.b -> j.c -> JC -> j.c -> JC -> j.c -> 236bbbbb) I'm having a difficult time getting to my third j.c (seems that I'm accidentally holding j.c or something because the training dummy [Ragna] keeps teching out) and even more frustrating, when I finally do get to the 236bbbbb, often times, the dummy simply slips out after a hit or two. He just drops. Any suggestions or tips?
  24. As what the others have said, if you're not planning on entering tournaments or playing socially, then stick with pad if you're comfortable with it. And IADs shouldn't be much of a problem if you switch.
