  1. *agreeance*
  2. Over 4.5 hours of Melty and not a bit of BB yet :/
  3. How long have everyone been playing? Think I've only been playing for a month and a half :/
  4. Looked up all of CT character's bios online and loved that Tao was all happy-go-lucky (perhaps... not the sharpest claw in the paw), energetic, fun loving cat girl ^o^ I prefer to pick my characters based on personality.
  5. Just finished Ragna's alt ending (choosing the second option with Rachel) As much as I love BlazBlue, that was just too long and random >< Edit: Upon further playing, it is my opinion that everyone's story is entirely too long (not even counting alt paths). In some cases, I could go minutes of pressing the a button, attempting to quickly skip through aaaaall of the text. Then get to a battle... Then spend another 5 minutes wading through story. I think the BB team should have kept the story length to that of CT :/ Or save all of these extras for the internet, its manga, or maybe even a separate DVD (kinda like .Hack// style)
  6. I still don't see the point in switching them... Granted, I've never played any MvC.
  7. I've been wondering something since I've switched from pad: Why are the L1 L2 R1 R2/LB LT RB RT reversed on sticks? o_O
  8. It doesn't appear to be from me entering it too slowly :/ I have less trouble with 236236D going at a slower pace :\ Also, I played around with not riding the gate (as much) and that seems to work, but once again, with the same commands as if I did ride it. And if it helps, I sometimes end up doing Slashy Slashy(22C), even though 214214C shows on the screen :/ Every other time, it's a Cat Litter Special (236C)
  9. I've read through a few of the posts but haven't seen this problem: I'm in training mode, practicing Tao's distortions and I can't seem to get a consistent 214214C with one grip, but can with another. However, when I display the inputs, I'm doing the exact same motion with both grips Any idea what's going on?
  10. Ah, thanks, RinHara5ak. Yes, I am relatively new ^^;;;; I'll practice with that combo you've suggested
  11. I feel as though this has been answered before, but I didn't see it in the OP :/ j.c -> (j.a -> j.c)x2 and other such combos, am I suppose to be jumping between each j.c and j.a? I would think there'd be a "JC" if I was. Or am I suppose to only jump after the (j.a -> j.c) bit, then repeat? I'm having a difficult time understanding which to do ><
  12. When doing drive loops, such as 5b -> 3c -> 5d~6 -> (j.c -> 5d~6) x3 -> j.a -> j.c -> j.c -> j.c -> j.236bbbb , are you suppose to time your j.c and 5ds or can/should you constantly mash one until the hit lands, then mash the next (so, j.c j.c j.c *hit* 5d 5d 5d 5d *hit* 6)? I'm having trouble with these loops and for a while, mashing the button constantly until a hit is confirmed seemed to have helped a bit. But I wanna know how it's suppose to be done. ありがとう〜 (arigatou)
  13. Glad to see you had your priorities in order
  14. Yes. Oh gawsh yes!
  15. Sorry if there's already a similar post ^^;; As the title suggests, what got you into the series? Guilty Gear? Perhaps wanting to play something other than Street Fighter and Tekken. Or just an avid fighting game fan. For me, I recall my friend playing it during a game day at my university. The graphics were beautiful. A week or so later, he did a short presentation on it during class. I've been looking for a game that I could play competitively so afterwards, I asked him about it: If there was a sequel, how long he's been playing it, etc. By this time, I figured I'd give it a try and borrowed another friend's BB:CTP after looking up the characters online and decided I wanted to play the laid-back kitty cat ^o^ Fiddled around with it til Friday rolled around and tried it on a console and was hooked ever since.
  16. So... Not entirely sure how this works, but UNCC (University of North Carolina at Charlotte) has a club called Gamer's Alliance. Essentially, we borrow projectors and screens from our school library and play video games every Friday from 1p til around midnight. BlazBlue is relatively new to these gatherings, but my two friends and I have been bringing it for the past month or so (one PS3 and two 360s). Also got a few kids here that play(ed) Guilty Gear ^^ So... Guess what I'm saying is, if someone's in the Charlotte area and wanna chill at my campus for a few hours, go for it ^^;;; Mind you, I've never hosted an event, but it shouldn't be terribly difficult, seeing as it's a university, easily findable with a GPS or Mapquest. Thoughts?
  17. Heh, I played with a stick for the first time a few days ago (only been playing BB for a month and not much else in terms of fighters before). Wasn't too bad of a transition for me ^^;; Though, when I went back to my 360 analog stick, I seemed to have actually lost some of my accuracy :/ Waiting for Lizard Lick to get their JFLs back in stock so I can build my own stick :D
