I just realized that Chrono Phantasma's acronym is CP.
-
Alright so, here's this for those of you I mentioned it to: (WARNING: MASSIVE MASS EFFECT 3 ENDING SPOILERS!) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cxgu8qCuyn8 Skip to 8:00 for the hilariousness. Also Star... I'm pretty sure there was something I wanted to post on here to show you that I mentioned earlier... can't remember what it was... huh. Anywho, great games today guys. What an awesome turn out too. I freakin LOVE this game. 5th is the best I've done in a long ass time. (if not ever) Best time with a tournament I've had since my prime Hazama days... ahhh
-
I don't think he can combo off of it at all. Unless you can OMC it... which I can't remember if you can or not. Pretty sure you... can't?
-
Well Yu and Mitsuru's DPs don't solely stop offensive momentum. They also do decent damage off of it. That's my point.
-
I knew that was the purpose of his DP... So what's the point you're trying to make? O_o
-
This. Pretty much Yosuke's DP is there to stop the opponent's offensive in their tracks... not for damage :/
-
For the record, I never said Mitsuru's DP is better than Yosuke's. I'll take Yosuke's any day. But Mitsuru gets far more damage off of hers than Yosuke does. They're both equally stupid. Because universal DPs are pretty lame.
-
Yosuke's doesn't confuse you actually. Just the knockdown. Confusion would be broken as hell on that move >_>
-
Know who Yosuke gets free wins against? Akihiko... :|
-
Mitsuru has far better Air to Air options from what I've seen, also she should just be trying to keep him out and poking him all day, and his options are pretty limited. His ranged Persona attacks are pretty shitty and have long start up and recovery, so you can just break him easily. And once that's done his pressure becomes jack shit. Basically if you're letting Yosuke in on you and trying to find ways out, you're probably approaching the matchup wrong. Just try to avoid letting him get in. I forgot his sweep could low profile her 5A though. I need to mess with that more.
-
Weird... it does. But only for some portion of the start-up. I wonder...
-
I can say the same thing about Mitsuru. Her damage output is stupid. Her range on normals is stupid. Etc. The matchup is just shitty for both sides. All Yosuke is trying to do is bait that stupid DP of hers, and all Mitsuru does is try to do it when they know it hits, and land stupid anti-air super. In other news: I JUST BEAT AN S RANKED ELIZABETH! Kudos to me. And wtf. I beat him again but it gave me 0 PSR??

Yo fellas. I'm making it tomorrow. IT'S A DONE DEAL! So... WTB TEAM MATE!
-
Whelp. Bad news. Girl that told me she can cover my shift actually can't. So I'm back to showing up after 5 - 6. There may be hope though, but no promises I can make the tourney :/ That's how I feel about Yosuke! Even the waifu status!
-
Klein you need a team mate? Arson?
-
Damnit. I wish I could make it out Saturday... Hmm... MAYBE I can get my shift covered... But I highly doubt it. At least I have after 5-6 open now. FUCKIN HYPE SONS!!! JUST GOT SATURDAY OFF!!! Who wants to be on team GRIMSTARS MIX-UP GODS?!?! Too bad Star already has a team mate... Dude... Team Stars. Has to happen. Some day.
-
You pretty much do whatever you want. Basic blockstring for me is 5A/5B, 5C, 2C, Dash Spring A From there that's where his mixups begin. You can simply moonsault over them and hope for a cross up, or mirage slash them, or kunai to end the block string. The thing about yosuke is that he keeps people guessing. Once you start doing stuff like dash spring > mirage slash cancel > moon sault/kunai that's where you catch people off guard. Basically mess with Mirage slash, it's a really good mixup tool
-
Yeah I think the only way is through FC or possible a OMC... haven't messed with it too much. one good way to land it though is to end a 5C, 2C blockstring with it. Use Tentarafoo C for best results. I land it pretty often even against good players, basically they expect the run and following mixup, but get caught by that. It's fairly safe too if they jump it, but it is risky, and they will catch on if you abuse it.

Fatal Counter 2c 2C > 236B > j.2C, 2.A, 2.B, 2.C, j.B, j.B, j.2B, Moonsault B, slash, slash, D Kunai, Super Forget the damage off the top of my head. But you have to do moonsault B for the kunai to hit. The following moonsaults can be A though and it works. I think this does close to 6k.
-
It's pretty easy to 2b it as well. obviously 2c fatal counter is what you want, but if you choke up or something, you can fall back on 2b for your air combo
-
This matchup is soooooo frustrating. Unblockable anti-air super, her range on her normals, that godly DP of hers... She has several tools to keep you out. On blocked dash spring you can bait the DP with a backwards moonsault into Kunai, hit confirm into super from there. 2B is difficult to use in this matchup I've found, the timing is... hard. Usually you just clash and don't even hit her due to her range on her jump-ins.

Please tell me that your logo is just a giant picture of your face with a ridiculously creepy looking smile on it, and a speech bubble that says "HEEEEERRRREEE'S DUCKIE!!!!!!!!"
-
GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!! I no longer have to work Saturday night shift, just the open. So I can swing by the arcade to get some casuals saturday night with you people. Hopefully I can catch the finals for Persona. Eager to see how it turns out. I have an idea of who I think might take it, although the bracket layout will play a huge roll I bet. I think he's coming from SF background mostly. So these weeaboo combos are new to him. Correct me if I'm wrong though G-man.
-
I'm trying to get in that ass but they STAB ME IN THE GOD DAMN FACE!
-
I agree, his mix ups are insanely good. But characters with good range on normals, especially their jumps, can just shut him down and persona break him very easily.
