if they do the slidehead late, i'm pretty sure the movie is slow enough for you react (ie. backdash or iad back) if they do the giganter trap correctly, i would say for JO the best way is to either burst or DAA (doesn't matter if it whiffs or hits, you're out of the trap) i've tried to IB/backdash countless times, never works out

...actually, the DB combos do less damage... and yes, you can DAA the slidehead just try to zone & poke as much as possible in this matchup

yea, i've done it it's not all that great against eddie because the method below is easier, but it happens to be really good against lighter characters because the method below is distance specific against them. against eddie (and most other characters) just do lvl2.k MF > coin > iad > jkjpjd > 1-hit ensenga edit: also, against normal weight characters like eddie/testament/slayer if you're too far away for iad > jkjpjd > 1-hit ensenga, you can do coin > 6k > MC > iad > jkjd > 1-hit ensenga

no no, you still have to IB the first part of Fujin. when he does the FB followup, you can 2d him out of it.

S followup after fujin - 2d > coin. or if he's already coined, do lvl2 combo (make sure to be quick in case he decides to FRC) K followup after fujin - throw P followup after fujin - block or try to jump away while FDing you can actually 2d between the fujin and the FB followup

yea, which is either why you 1. hit confirm 2. dj.s > ensenga, this probably being the better option

bait the heavenly pot buster if he's at 50% or higher if he's not at 50% then j.s, if the j.s connects just do ensenga as a follow up. baiting the heavenly pot buster isn't too hard, and pot's recovery isn't instant on it, so you can still hit him before he does something else after the HPB. i find the 2.S > 5HS chain to do pretty well against hammerfall btw. try that out and see how it works for you.

6p goes through all of his little ones if that helps... also, someone mess around with ways to punish Ky on burst most damage i got was 275 (at lvl2) more damages. p.s. pat i cant count how many times i've accidentally clicked your sig...

nope, that's pretty much it if you dont coin her when you land 2D, pretty much the only other way is to just throw a coin and hope it hits her. ...or some random counter hit of course.

this is not a good way to start a round. since eddie will usually start a round with either 2k or backdash you wanna do jo's 2k or 5k, it will either clash with or beat eddie's 2k and if he backdashes then there's nothing much to worry about. 2k or 5k, nothing else will work, i've tried.

it's kinda distance specific. if you're close enough to the corner, it shouldn't be too hard. but if you're a certain distance away you either have to do KJ really late after the transport, like right before he lands late. it's a little difficult from max distance, but you should be able to do it no problem after a bit of practice.

well i play against ky fairly often and all i gotta say is Instant Block a LOT. you can punish stun dipper if he doesn't FRC or RC it if you instant block the 2nd hit and if you're quick enough you can throw him out of it if you IB the 1st hit. i usually do 5s(far) after stun dipper fails. if he FRCs or RCs it tho, keep blocking. and try to bait stun dipper by throwing coins & mist canceling more often, then you can just jump up and do what you want from there. in short, no. ky beats jo in the air pretty much. unless it's from a really far distance, then j.s is a pretty good air poke. other than that, ky pretty much wins in the air unless you air throw him (which is what i usually do). just 6p, catch him with 6k, or hit him with a coin on his way down if you're able to. don't go air to air vs ky. and i dunno for sure. i just take lucky guesses sometimes when they front tech and either catch them with air throw by super jump or double jump. either that or sj.D and if it connects you can land ensenga afterwards (decent bit of damage). that's pretty much all i got. hope something i said works out for ya.

PC is also a really good Sol player. I'd say he's got one of the best Sols in Japan.

I was just reading thru this thread for tips against Faust. CrimsonD you said to watch out for Fausts full-screen stab/pull thingy. Johnny's 6P beats that move, afterwards you can MSJH into DB FRC combo because Faust can't tech after CH 6P that low to the ground. If you're really far away you even have time to cancel into mist stance, mist dash, then MSJH to make sure it connects. Any way this improves JO's chances against FA or can FA somehow make this not good? And if Faust does scalpal stab/pull thingy while close up, JO can dash thru it untouched... but that's really dumb cause no Faust would ever do that move up close, just a little something I accidentally found out last night edit: Also 236p beats out bomb-bags... any way this can work in JO's favor? One more thing. Anji's HS Fujin! wtf, it seems like this move beats everything JO has to offer, is there anything that JO can do to stop Anji from doing this stupid thing?
