  1. I should come to one. It all depends on if my friend wants to go.
  2. do voodoo magic and yell very loudly at your screen. that's also not 6C it's 6HS
  3. How's it feel to know that Spark will always be better than you with a shitty character rest of the BB world? (feels bad man)
  4. FFA in a nutshell. Thanks again to Sanoshi for the great time at her place. U da best.
  5. From the numerous matches I've played against Lambda, staying in her face seems to work more if you can keep the pressure coming. Shooting chains in the long range doesn't really do much for you, as she isn't going to try and rush you down, so in the end controlling those zones outside of her D button range can turn the tide of the match. So I would definitely go with using your mobility to out maneuver her, and punishing accordingly. Since her D is faster than yours, throwing D in the long range could leave you out of punishment area and get you blown up. Knowing the zones safe from the D buttons is the way to win. Also, I forgot about that. I'll add it to the character specific section. Also I added tips on bursting.
  6. Matchup Ranking: I believe it's 6-4 Hazama's favor. Recommended Playstyle: Zone her. You zone better than she does, and by forcing her to make a wrong guess with her D button, you've opened yourself up to hit her with your chain and fly in for a free punish. You can also pressure her too, but her backdash can be used to take advantage of any gap you leave. If they are backdash happy, mix up a IAD blockstring by IAD'ing after either 5B, 5C, or 2C. If you guess right, you can j.2C her as she tries to run away, and if she stays put, you can j.B her for the crossup dash back into pressure. Any end to pressure though will allow her to escape, so ending with jabaki doesn't really do much for you in this match. General Strategy: Control the space outside of her 5D, 6D, and 4D range. By controlling this space, you can make her hitting her D button a very risky and costly thing if she does it wrong. You should also watch out for 2D, dash past it and smack her with a chain. The recovery on a whiffed sword is atrocious, so take advantage of that. Note that while your chain is a better zoning tool, using it wrong will result in death. Her swords will usually hit you before your chain hits her, so you still have to respect them. Lambda doesn't have a real reversal on wakeup outside of Calamity Sword, (can buffer Hotenjin during the super flash for a trade and combo according to Japanese Hazama videos), so she will probably abuse wakeup backdash. Should this be the case, dash 2B 3C Hotenjin or 214D~A to begin to train her to wake up and block. If you're feeling particularly god like, you can yomi the shit out of her neutral tech backdash by going into stance and hitting C as she wakes up and backdashes. It works, and they will begin to respect you on wakeup. However, if you try to do this often you leave yourself open for her to just roll away. Bonus Character Specific Things: Mizuchi da gawd. If she gets a combo with knockdown and attempts to use wheel on you to control your wake-up, loudly yell "OH YEAH? WELL FUCK YOUR SHIT I'M HAZAMA" and wake up Mizuchi. You invince right through the wheel and smack her shit. If she attempts to Legacy Edge randomly, or after a 2DD, or any other time where it isn't air tight, Mizuchi that bitch by buffering during the superflash. If she is doing j.D's fake Crescent Loop into more D's, you can use it here as well. You will win every time. You can even RC Mizuchi after she is dragged in for a 214D~C full relaunch combo. Due to the nature of some of her swords, if you hit her when she whiffs and get a counter hit with a chain, you can fly in and 214D~C into combo. It only works on a counter hit when the sword has caused her to be hit in a crouching state. Fun times. Her Gravity Well isn't what it used to be, but it is throw invulnerable, and god help you if they FC you with it. So be wary of any obvious throw attempts on your part or any baits on hers. Empty tackle delay gravity well can blow you up hard if you try to grab her to tech. Also, be wary of bursting. Lambda is a character that can lock you down and rape your primers if you're not careful. If you have to burst, do it towards the end, and if you save a burst, you can only use one defensively. If you do two in one round, one has to be gold, otherwise you automatically lose because you now only have one primer and she has quite a few moves that can take it from you. There are also a lot of places that will automatically burst bait you. If you must burst, burst 5C or most of the other C's or after big tackle. Be careful, if she use low tackle instead, she will recover and punish your burst. One last bit is the fact that she has a 17-frame overhead. If spaced correctly, her 4B overhead can have the first part of it whiff and only the actual overhead part to hit. Keep an eye out for it. Final Thoughts: This matchup isn't a walk in the park, because if she gets wheel on you and you have no meter, you will have to block correctly and wait for the opportunity to get back out. Not respecting her D's will also get you blown up. However, once you start to understand it you can make her life way more hell than she can make yours. People have told me that our dear and loving mod can make Lambda look free. Another thing to note is that 3C can be a pretty useful tool as well. This may just be a habit of the Lambda I fight frequently, but if not spaced correctly during a blockstring and they try to end it with wheel for a free dash in and pressure reset, you can 3C her before the wheel hits and do 214D~C combo. So far I know it works perfectly after her 5C into wheel. You can also 3C tackle, if your 3C is done early. She will dash right into your fine, classy hands for one of your best combo starters. Ending Statements: I have provided knowledge to the best of my ability and understanding of this matchup. I fight this one fairly often and with a Lambda who fights extremely well, as my Lambda user friend is Severin. I have provided the information we have discussed and the tactics he has offered to help me win. I lose this matchup fairly often, mainly due to poor habits and the fact that we have played each other so much that half of our battles are playing the matchup and the other half playing the player. If I have missed anything or left anything out, please let me know. If I have given false information I apologize and I will fix it immediately. Just don't sig me. I'm sensitive as shit.
  7. Talk about something else. Before I kill all of you and then myself.
  8. Alright that's it. Dacid is right. Okay? He is correct on some points. You all need to stop treating him like absolute shit whenever he says anything. He lost to Satoshi, yes. So did a ton of other good players that day. Do you know why? Satoshi was really good. Lots of people whiffed things. That was one of Satoshi's strongest points, recognizing whiffs and smacking their shit for it. His spacing and understanding of matchups was intense. Because Japan gives a fuck about that game, and plays it, and has an arcade scene. Here in SoCal we have gatherings occasionally. Other places have it slightly better, others have it worse. Satoshi won Revelations. In a sound fashion too. Satoshi sat on stream and took on challengers one at a time, challengers that included Dacidbro, LK, Huey, Omni, and more. He beat a lot of people. Stop bringing that up like he lost to a guy who mashes buttons with his face. Everyone there, including myself, could have played better. I get if you blow up Dacidbro for saying something really far fetched, but to do it to him whenever he says anything is just in poor taste. Even Zidane, the God of trolling Dacid, is staying out of this one. If you honestly believe he is wrong, bring your facts and data, and provide your points. GODDAMMIT I LET MYSELF GET CARRIED AWAY INTO THIS.
  9. I main UMvC3 niggaaaaaaa. Until it sucks. So I'll be maining that game for like week, then drop it for BB again.
  10. Remember when this topic was cool?
  11. OH YEAH? OH YEAH?! .... NO U! Practice combos and tinker with the timing. It's really the only way. We can sit here and give you advice, which is helpful, but once you understand how and why the things work, it'll start to be easier.
  12. I'm not entering the tournament, but I will go for casuals and parties and whatnot. If you need a room and don't mind a poverty hotel, (extended stay america) feel free to shoot me a message. I might enter on site (if that's even possible) if I suddenly get $100 out of no where, but as of this moment it's not in the cards. Still, if you need a place let me know. I'm going to body Huey though. Fucking. Body him. SHIT ON ME WILL YOU?
  13. Playing around in training mode against Tager (because I love 5C Jakou xN) and I discovered a pretty nifty back grab combo. It's probably been found or known, but I'll put the annotation here just in case. Backgrab j.6D~D 66A (5C 623D)x3 3C [236D, 214D~A, Mizuchi] 236D: Damage: 2.8~2.9k Heat: 46 214D~A: Damage: 2.8~2.9k Heat: 48 Mizuchi: 4.4K -6 I am currently unable to add more loops. If you can let me know.
  14. I'll admit I was wrong about 6B. I shouldn't have said that. Oh well. I learned. Life goes on.
  15. .... Alright. Dacid, I like you, but why are you calling me out on random bitching aimed at no one? And why is there a sudden dick measuring contest in here? It's not like just because my character is good himself her bullshit goes away.
  16. lolno Also, I thought I'd just let you all know that Noel is a faggot character and is perfect for people who need a crutch and aren't very good at this game. If you are good and you pick Noel, then props to you, but most of the Noels I've seen are really shitty but for some reason it fucking works. Yes I mad. Stay mad me.
  17. I don't know who confirmed it as CS2, but as I sit in front of the machine and type this, it's CS1 on a horrible set up
  18. 2B? The low? Why aren't you using 2C as he flies in?
  19. ...sigh... when I called them to see if it was ready they said CS1 >_>
  20. Edit: I lied. Turns out it's probably a CS1 machine. The mind hears what it wants to hear. My bad.
