  1. Toryuken won't be big on Persona at this point since the game's pretty much dead here Ryan won't be able to drive us to the venue this time around either so we'll have to bus to Toronto. If you can keep all that in mind, you can still tag along with Bill and I.
  2. The first part of the combo is actually pretty flexible and the jump direction or Brio timing shouldn't matter too much, just make sure everything hits. As for the bolded part, it's not supposed to be a super jump 2C; it's just a regular jump 2C without the allecancel, input 46D and then j.C, which leads them to getting hit with 46D. With that said, I just realized that you can replace j.2C, j.C, 46D with an easier path: 2D, 5C, j.B, j.C, 623D, 5C, j.B, j.C, 46D, 5C, sj.B, j.2C, j.B, JC, j.B, j.C, 8D, ender Give that one a try and tell me how it goes.

  4. Could you list out the order the moves are supposed to hit (just list the move names, disregard the extra inputs)? I can't really tell which moves are supposed to hit when since the notation's kind of unclear and some of the routes look awkward.
  5. How's N-groove in this game? I read about the grooves for a bit and N has short hops + rolls, which sounds like my kind of thing as opposed to C, which doesn't have short hops...

  8. But on the other hand, 3C not being JC-able on hit makes it 10x easier to combo 3C into Astral :3 The gauge recovery pauses whenever there's hitstop. Considering that there were a lot of hits being landed, the gauge might have looked a bit slower to you because of that? (I still don't see much difference tbh.)

  11. So I found a neat little Kokonoe specific UB reset that's based on one of Itoh's combos. Although it's kind of hard, it's doable with enough practice and is handy for those who autopilot their confirms into Tenerezza. For a N-starter combo (using 5B as a starter example): 5B> 2B> 5C> jump> 46D> airdash j.B> j.2C> j.B> j.C> microdash 2A> 5B> 2B> 6B (input 8D)> 6A> neutral jump> 8D hits> j.2C> j.AAB + 3D I haven't tested this on others yet but it might even work on more characters...?

Discuss the Izayoi matchup here Random notes: - It seems like playing defensively is the way to go here: Izayoi is not very threatening without stocks and fortunately for us, it's very difficult for her to get stocks in this matchup - Her projectile and her AAs seem to be her main way to get stocks. These moves won't give stock if she hits the doll, use Ada to absorb sonic sabre and don't do any rash IADs to keep her from gettign stocks via AA special - She doesn't have any real 1f meterless reversals so provided that you set up oki right, she has to respect you pressure. - Her reversal super normally pushes you too far back to punish but since her super doesn't come out until 6f after the super flash, you can Vivace right after the super flash to dodge the super and punish her.
  23. That's a perfectly fine way to capitalize on that. If you want something a bit more optimized, do IAD j.2C~allecan, 5C, air combo into combo extensions/oki. If you really want to end up in a sandwich again and Ada is close enough, you can do dash, 6B, 6A, j.B, j.C, 46D, 5A+B, IAD j.2C allecan on other side, yada, yada, etc. Most of the time though, I'll usually go for corner carry and end w/fuoco + vivace oki.
  24. I plan on going, Bill can't go b/c of work stuff and Ryan may or may not go depending on how hungover he is since the smash party's happening the night before. If Ryan doesn't go, you'll probably have to bus + take the subway to Toronto.
