I don't mean to double post, but I'm having some trouble with the 2D>2C>214B~D>2C sections of some combos. I always have to run forward after the 2D for the 2C to hit, but by then they're close enough to the ground that when I go for the 214B~D I tend to cross over top of them. Admittedly at first I had trouble with the PF 1(2)> 2(2/3)>2D>2C thing near the corner, but I think it works that you're supposed to walk towards the corner when they go over head after the second PF hit, and not away from it to hit them with the 2D. But...I could be really wrong.

Yeah, I can see what you mean. Easing off it and letting a bit of a delay come in has seemed to make it flow better when I've been practicing. I'm just gonna keep at it, I guess.
-
I dunno, I always figured "difficulty of learning curve" was something that was subjective to your own playstyle. And with Hazama, he's actually not that bad when you figure out what he's doing.
-
Gotta admit that does come across as a bit like 'wow...' to it. Though in a weird thing, I swear I was like...seeing inputs and not moves, if that makes sense. Like, y'know, how in the Matrix, Neo sees people as 0's and 1's, when everyone else sees them as people? Like, I had it happen with Noel a while ago, but I just dismissed it and thought I was insane. I have to ask though, as someone who just knows a couple of the basics, is canceling her Particle Flare after the second hit worth it as much as it seems to be used? I dunno, like a simple short reasoning for it would help a good bit if it's not an issue.

I just wanted to throw this in because it might help. Admittedly yeah, when learning a secondary I sometimes get thrown off because I keep expecting my D to open up the who "D attack" series that Noel has, but that's just something you'll adjust to with time. Also, I dare say that learning 2 different characters that don't play similar to themselves will probably help you grow a bit as a player too as you'll be able to see things from multiple angles.

Thanks guys, I'll give that a try next time I'm in training mode. Hm, I guess an issue I've sometimes had is differing from combos that work to try something else that might work better. But hey, it can be the little things that make a good bit of difference.

This is gonna come across as a total scrub question, and kinda embarrassing coming from someone who's played her since CT, but when I go to throw in the whole 4D>d.6C or 4D>BT into a corner combo, my opponent always seems to get out between the 4D and the second one. I don't know if there's a timing thing that's tricky, if it's just because I didn't used to do it so it's going against my muscle memory, or if there's another step I'm missing. So yeah, any suggestions or further comments that aren't 'wtf are you doing playing Noel if you drop that part?' would be appreciated.

[CS2] Makoto Nanaya's Combo Listing and Discussion Thread
LiveWireX replied to OmniSScythe's topic in Archives
I just want to throw out props to you guys for all these things. Especially since I've been thinking of picking her up as a secondary (Hakumen's not working out, Jin is like "all business, no time to have fun while you play", and Litchi/Hazama/Carl just aren't my style). The weird thing is, reading this stuff actually doesn't seem as intimidating as I thought and a bunch more of it seems easier to 'get' than I thought. -

You know Blade, I'll give you credit for giving blunt constructive criticism. Also, is there a reason they changed the whole lifebar thing setup for UMVC3? It just seems a strange thing to focus on changing. Plus, I wonder if Vergil's just going to be the Akuma to Dante's Ryu, and I'm REALLY curious to see how Rocket Raccoon plays. -

Yeah, good point. I just happen to be awful at getting in touch with/finding people and that. Plus, me being technically out of Ottawa would make me trying to start a second silly. I would so actually go over to Montreal for a tourney though if one went down. -

Huh, so I just find out Dustloop's back up and I come across all this UMvC3 stuff. Cool to hear about a bunch of this stuff. Also, I still so wish there was a legit Ottawa scene for BB, lol. -

Ah you good ol' Montrealers. I actually kinda wish there was a strong Blazblue community in the Ottawa area, to be honest. It's always good to see you guys at the GO events though. -
Yeah, I found that weird too. It's also kinda amusing when you consider his tier change too.

22B>66C is listed in the 2nd Midscreen combo under "From A". However, I checked the Haida guide so hopefully that helps a little. Still though.
-
I'm so wishing I checked this guide out right when CS2 came out instead of going all "oh, I know how to Haida, I've been at it since CT" and then wondering why I couldn't.

I'm actually having some trouble with a bunch of the combos listed here that...is actually kind of noobish sounding, I'm sure. I've been trying a bunch of combos that have the "22B>66C" sequence in them after and I can NEVER do it. Not once. I understand that 22C might kill damage in a combo, but 22B knocks them down flat to the floor, and 66C doesn't hit laying down opponents, so I have NO IDEA how the hell I'm supposed to integrate that thing in. I experienced this first with the " 6A > 6C > j.D > Reload > 2B > 6C > 22B > 22BBC > 66C > 22B > 66C > 5D > d.6B > d.5C > d.6C > d.6A > d.236D " combo, and again with the "6A > 6C > J.D > d.4D > d.6A (whiff) > d.5C > 236A > 66C > 22B > 6D > d.6B > d.5D > d.236D " one. As well, I can never made the 22B>6D connect or initiate near on time in this combo: "6B > 3C > 22BC > 66C > 22B > 6D > d.6C > 5C > 236A > 66C > j.D > d.6D > d.6B > d.236D". Can anybody offer some help or advice on this?

Holy crap, having picked up the CS2 patch when it came out on PSN, I'm glad that there's no shortage of combos to do. This really helps me put together like a document I can look at when I'm practicing to try and get stuff down. Though, as stupid of a question as this may be, does anybody know where I'd be able to get a typed up/text version of the tutorial/mission/whatever else people call them combos from it? I mean, yeah I know they're in the game, but I can't reference all or more than one of them while playing from training mode and all that.

It took me ages it seemed to get decent/passable with Noel, but I've always felt like I should improve a bunch whenever I play. As for my secondaries of Jin and Makoto...yeah, those have always needed work.
-
I'm actually a new poster here, but I've been maining Noel since CT (even if I have her semi-retired until CS2 comes out so I can work on my Jin and Makoto more), but personally it's awesome you guys put all this work into getting these videos and combos and stuff up here. I know this probably isn't like some official "thank you" thread, but I just thought it needed saying. Also, seeing some of the stuff R-1's been pulling off in CS2 makes it so I can't help but smile.
