  1. Well, I'm sure she'll still be more fun and less "just business" than Jin seems to be whenever I tried to play him. And we'll probably still have a lot more combos than say, Hazama. I'm HOPING the scenario here is the new version comes out, people flip and think she's B-tier, then a bunch of tricks come out and it's revealed Noel's really just A tier, so that she's still quite good, just not quite the character we remember. If I had to guess, I'd imagine some medium between CT and CS2. I don't mention CS1 because well...that just felt mean to have her like that, lol. But, you're pretty good with figuring stuff out. Is there anything with the changes you know of so far, that makes you think "this sounds like it might work and be practical now"?
  2. So apparently 22BBBBBBB, is now 22B(hold), you can do more damage off of Revolver Blast (plus an extra jump if you RC it), and you can special move cancel off of Chain Revolver starters? If that's true, me like.
  3. I just want to say Hexanoid, that 4.5k, 56 heat combo sounds sweet. I wish I'd thought of that. Doesn't even sound all that hard either.
  4. Thanks, though I guess I'm not that surprised.
  5. Yeah, they said it's back to CT levels, but it's been so long since I played CT that I can't for the life of me remember what that was like. I'm just hoping we can still 6A>6C as someone said before. Plus, I'm curious to hear more about if Optic Barrel's still going to have similar/same uses, and how many drives and things can't be canceled into special moves because that d.6C>214A bit has served me well on multiple occasions.
  6. I so want to make it out for this. Sounds like it's gonna be awesome.
  7. You know, this is going to sound weird and it could be because it's 2:40 AM, but I don't remember ever using/knowing about a 6A>2B chain in the first place. If anything, I'd think it would be Muzzle Flitter>2B>6A, as opposed to the 6A before the 2B. And that 6C>Throw Whiff>6C being taken out when it's been there through all of the previous games sounds like it could be quite sad if it winds up sticking.
  8. Yeah, you've probably got a point. That being said, learning a new character + learning stick at the same time, probably makes things slightly harder than they need to be.
  9. Will do. And I gotta ask, are you usually this helpful to people? lol
  10. Thanks for all the help again, Crosell. I was really just trying that combo to try and get me used to some of the strings and that. I'd be the last person to know if most of the time a 2D>2C is supposed to involve them going over top of you and flying behind you, or away from you making you have to dash 2C, lol. I'll probably just need a bunch of practice anyway. After all, I get the feeling all of you guys who picked her up in CS2, or even CS1 had a bunch of problems like this too, so it's probably not as uncommon as I think.
  11. If it helps, the combo I was practicing off of to try and get used to the motion started with a Back Throw into the 2B. And I suppose you're right that practicing the combos when I'm not used to the movement (as like I said, some things like button placements, the R triggers being on the left side of the L triggers for example, and getting the movement commands, is taking longer than I'd like) could slow progress. I'm probably just doing it that way because it's like, I kinda feel "I've practiced these before, so I should know this". But realistically, I probably have to swallow my pride and realize it is kind of like starting over in a bunch of ways.
  12. I have to agree. And well, the CS2 Haida Loops kinda a bitch to do. I can only really do 2 reps semi-consistently (and that's if I'm like 'feeling it'), and if I get 3 it's like worth throwing a party over, lol.
  13. Well, I'm having some oddly different troubles now, lol. I don't know if it's partly due to the fact that after so long of playing Pad and getting a Stick on Tuesday, I seem to be having difficulty dashing, air dashing, and well, not jumping straight up by trying to frantically press forward to run (since I feel dashing takes more effort). But anyway, still having problems with parts of the 2B>6A>2D>2C>214B~D bit. I guess some of it could be that I'm not sure if they're supposed to cross up over you after 2D making it so you just have to turn around and 2C, or what, since I keep doing the D part of 214B~D and hitting it so it connects when they've practically landed on the ground. As well, there's a couple of combos where it's in the corner and says stuff like 5D>2C, but...5D in the corner sends you way back from them, and it doesn't mention a dash, so I dunno. It's weird because I want to learn her, but a lot of this stuff just seems really intimidating and her like BnB combos, and like "simple combo" this or "standard combo" that, is well, pretty long for a newbie. Did any of you guys run into stuff like that?
  14. Man, I'm really tempted to try and check this out.

  18. Nice, I can see parrying Jin's Ice Wave, but All Green for some reason sounds a little harder. Ah well, props for it.
  19. I have to agree on a bunch of stuff you said, but I'm not sure I'd put the Noel tutorials as necessary mastering. However, it could entirely depend on how fast he picks up things, and I could just be saying that as someone who's played her since CT. Actually, I remember writing down her tutorial combos and practicing them at first/spicing them up after a bit when I first started, so I think it really could go either way. I do have to say though, that after a bit, some things will just click, and when you look at like combos and suggestions and that, you'll see what I like to call the "Command Matrix".
  20. Thanks Crosell. Seems I overall have a delay problem with combos sometimes. But hey, I gotta start somewhere so frankly just glad the board's back up.
  21. I don't mean to double post, but I'm having some trouble with the 2D>2C>214B~D>2C sections of some combos. I always have to run forward after the 2D for the 2C to hit, but by then they're close enough to the ground that when I go for the 214B~D I tend to cross over top of them. Admittedly at first I had trouble with the PF 1(2)> 2(2/3)>2D>2C thing near the corner, but I think it works that you're supposed to walk towards the corner when they go over head after the second PF hit, and not away from it to hit them with the 2D. But...I could be really wrong.
  22. Yeah, I can see what you mean. Easing off it and letting a bit of a delay come in has seemed to make it flow better when I've been practicing. I'm just gonna keep at it, I guess.
  23. I dunno, I always figured "difficulty of learning curve" was something that was subjective to your own playstyle. And with Hazama, he's actually not that bad when you figure out what he's doing.
  24. Yeah, that makes sense to me. I can see that working. Thanks.
  25. Gotta admit that does come across as a bit like 'wow...' to it. Though in a weird thing, I swear I was like...seeing inputs and not moves, if that makes sense. Like, y'know, how in the Matrix, Neo sees people as 0's and 1's, when everyone else sees them as people? Like, I had it happen with Noel a while ago, but I just dismissed it and thought I was insane. I have to ask though, as someone who just knows a couple of the basics, is canceling her Particle Flare after the second hit worth it as much as it seems to be used? I dunno, like a simple short reasoning for it would help a good bit if it's not an issue.
