I have a fair bit of experience vs HOS. To avoid getting DP'd on oki, you have to make your oki meaty. Here's what can happen on oki vs HOS: -HOS wakes up in a meaty projectile, blocks it and you pressure. -HOS Storm Vipers through a projectile, you block the Storm Viper, and punish with big combo. -HOS gets hit by oki (probably attempting a wakeup storm viper), you combo Make absolutely sure that if you're going to use Dark Angel on oki vs HOS, you make it meaty, because he has absolutely no trouble Gunblazing under it. I have used it slightly early a few times on purpose though, so HOS uses gunblaze to go under DA and gets thrown. Basically just be cautious against any character with a DP, and make sure you have the option to block when they're getting up. I try to avoid K ball, j.K on oki if the enemy has a DP. AFAIK you can't do ANYTHING against Rock-it (I've tried sweep, it eats me alive). It has insane priority and is completely safe. Try to IB that shit, then dash in and get a pressure going. He can't Rock-it unless he already has an offense going, because it has kinda slow startup. If HOS starts charging, you start summoning balls, or send a projectile his way to stop him.

So...I'm the only one that finds boss HOS easier than I-No?

I'm having a fair bit of trouble getting out of Anji's oki and pressure strings without using DAA or burst. When are the best times to break out of his pressure?
-
Did you leave it on in a match though? It has to be unpaused in training mode or vs mode or arcade mode (leave it on in training mode).

Sorry, I'm being a bit nitpicky here, but I believe the blue flash actually means it's too late. There's a white flash before the blue flash, and that is the actual FRC timing.

Never. If your opponent taunts you after KO, then you will get 50% tension at the start of the next round.

It takes a long ass time to unlock them.

To beat Venom, you essentially have to stay in close range, and on the offensive as much as humanly possible. Johnny can't outpoke Venom, they both have incredible reach, so you have no advantage there, but the main things Johnny can do better than Venom are 1) control the air and 2) deal damage. So if you think your enemy is about to do a 6p,6h anti air, try DBFRC for a knockdown, then start your offense. All you can do in this match is force Venom onto the defense. Save your burst for escaping pressure, or a corner combo. Venom's damage at midscreen is not anything to get worried about. DAA is a worthwhile investment in this matchup. For the most part just FD Dark Angel, it's not worth the risk of trying to go over it and getting caught in a multi ball setup that results in massive damage.

With dong hwan I don't do alot of combos, per se. I try to get in and do a crouch C, and cancel it into either his qcb+B/D overhead or 236D low hit popup and then 623C or TK236236Ax2, 623C. Both moves are pretty safe. Also learn to use his feints, as his normals have pretty good reach damage and priority. His hidden super (236236236C) works well after a break. I wouldn't ever bother using Dong Hwan's 236236B/D super. With Jae Hoon, get good with his break, because it leaves them wide open for either of his supers, or a double super (236236A, then 236236B). One of the better breaks in the game, but difficult to get used to using in combos. Luckily in MOTW you dont need to charge moves for very long. And MOTW did get a ps2 port. It's quite nice, too.

The keygrabs on axl were awesome. Mostly the video was just funny stuff, not practical. I liked it. All of the bits of ABA getting IKed I could have done without, though.

Hell yes, Paul Gilbert kicks epic amounts of guitar-playing ass. People need to use instrumental music more often. And I'm loving that midscreen 100% combo vs sol the most of anything that video.

I hate fighting Ky and Robo Ky because their hitboxes when being juggled make me lose my temper and kill people.
-
In AC? I beg to differ.

I find it more along the lines of aggravating. I like the Chipp matchup just because I enjoy seeing 70% of my opponent's health disappear with one combo.
-
I've seen Terry alot higher up in the list too. Like 1st or 2nd tier. Close C, burn knuckle feint, repeat ftw.
-
With Freeman do alot of crouch C's and feints. And yell alot.

Not so great. Still fun, but not a single matchup in his favor. -
Some of Sol's specials will only have a certain effect (example: wall bounce, popup (or is it just the untechability time?)) only if the attack hits just right. To my understanding this is typically the center of the target. So Cleah Hit (CL) is basically the act of hitting a target in the center of their hitbox to achieve an extra effect on some specials.

The jackhound thing is a glitch. This is why 4r5 had written "feature" in quotations. -

I was wondering that. It's not appearing in his movelist. What's the input? My friend threw it out a couple times at random but we've been killing ourselves trying to figure out how. -
Ah, you're right. Well it certainly feels like it might be 1 or 2 frames. Like you said, you can really spam it.

You probably won't find that kind of naming convention in many games. I honestly have never heard anyone refer to a normal by its "actual" name before.
