  2. Lots of footage out now, will try and stamp and post to help all the kakas still here. Maybe now's the best time to req. a Video thread? Thanks, TT
  3. Likewise for requesting CP 2.0 Thread http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_MC3LAS_E4&list=UUCfnriDcUslGMUMX4Ctkyjg Kinji VS Various 10:00 - 1:14:10 1:18:45 - 1:35:00 May or may not do the individual matches and tags, unless someone gets to it first.
  4. Patch up, at least for me. (JP Copy)
  5. Yea I'm completely fine with 6C being nerfed(more like adjusted), but the translation difference was giving me a slight spook so thanks for the confirmation.
  6. SRK Translation 6C – Decreased active frames of the attack portion, increased the recovery. Hiago's Translation -6C has smaller hitbox and more recovery. Kinda a big difference, guys. Which is the one I can safely look at and hope Combo X works or should I go into Combo Y?
  7. DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
  8. I thought there was like a few frames just before fully charging a C where it'll still take it as charged.
  9. Ohhh ok thanks, Kurumster. I guess my mindset was far too concentrated on the online aspect, so I was left thinking I should just leave it aside entirely. I'll definitely try out some more things later. I'll have to try rerecording a lot of things that better fit the bill for rejump combos.
  10. IMO jump strings on standing opponents don't seem to bring as much benefit as in CSEX. It basically just provides slight corner carry while decaying your combo. I can be completely wrong though in seeing any noteworthy benefits to using it- unless the case being it's Tager or a character that it can be pulled off easily. That being said I'm trying multiple things with jump strings, and recording them just for a visual reference. I'll upload it ASAP if it gets done for you guys, but there's one key thing I want to note/ask. Should I be doing; a straight up dash 5C>... dash 5B>5C>... or neutral momentum 5C / 5B>5C to make these applicable/semi-applicable? My thinking behind my recordings right now is just assuming Tao hit confirms mostly from the air, thus gains the capability to do a dash 5C>... Thanks guys
  11. So... ran through some practice so far, and everything seems good. That is, until muscle memory kicks in lol. It's more of a fun question than anything else, but anyone else having this hardcore? It'll take time, but dang I'm still not getting used to 2C > 5[C] at all.
  12. Awesome video and nice audio-log lol.

  14. Keep up with the amazing work Heartless! One thing though, is some of the jump attacks are height dependent. So some people should be aware of those things in the off chance that a Ragna does a j.B reasonably close to the ground. This is only from memory though, so even in that I could be using a terrible example =S.
  15. Oh I forgot to talk about CP Tao, in my previous post, lol... CP Tao, as KM Riku mentioned, does look easier to use for me as well. Maybe it's just how Tao combos closer to the ground, and her air combo is like an early mission challenge in previous versions. The rest that I wanted to point out, Riku pretty much already has which made me laugh pretty hard actually. Tao's CA is so top tier, and personally I've only had rare occasions with opposite flying hadokens.
  16. As mentioned above, CS2 made Tao feel really easy to use especially when the last rep only added 100 more damage (if I'm not mistaken). The reps preceding were almost bread and butter level, personally, compared to the taunt loop, and other more complicated combos at which Tao players had to learn before. Extend on the other hand really strengthened not only Tao game wise, but it also developed her character as well. I don't see AB2 being really practical at all now although I could just be noob, lol. With that much meter, there are so many other things that can be done with less risk- unless as Ronove mentioned above, it does indeed take the round/match. I wonder how she'll fare online though... Tao has never been a fan for that shit.
  17. I see, thank you for the correction. It does feel weird- prob. just me being used to 1-2, but I see it now.
  18. I'm kind of throwing things in the dark and hopefully they'll help you out. For the corner combo, how many hits are you getting with the 22C? 1-2 hits off the 22C should be what you want. 3 or more hits from that move will cause the 6C to whiff. For the midscreen to corner, I personally don't like doing that as I'd normally go and do the easy 6A (2hits) air ender- it is more reliable (especially online). If I were to do the combo you've mentioned, I'd prefer doing a 2369B (Tiger knee Cat 2) than a j.5B. Anyways... for this combo to work you give a slight pause before 5C so they aren't too high for the j.5B. After that, the j.5B should be done nearing the highest of your jump, allowing Tao to j.5D~A > 6C. Personally, I also found that j.7B was more reliable, but that might just be me. I've tried 5B > 6A on both CH and crouching as this link doesn't work on normal. Taokaka is meant to have sustainable damage, as in get ~3k consistently off various starters. Most practical high damage combos without AB2 can go at most 5k I think... Correction needed if necessary. I don't play Mu-12, so I can't compare between the two, but can only imagine a combo doing that much not happening as often as Taokaka doing 3k. I could be wrong though ^^;;.. As far as I know, no patches have been put out for Extend yet. Hope that helps. Taiyakitime
  19. Yea as far as I know for Animu games... However, I believe Canada Cup won't even officially host Blazblue anymore =/. We have an anime convention known as Otafest. A far idea, but if a setup of Blazblue could take place, it could raise exposure and hopefully players who might want to get in on the scene.
  20. Sort of wanting to revive this thread. However, this has become more of a request than anything else. Anyone in say, Calgary, who loves playing fighting games? I currently play Blazblue, but is very open to playing other games. Gave Guilty Gear, Arcana a try, as well as KOF- all of which are very fun in their own way. Also, in Calgary, there is an anime convention- Otafest, that is usually held in the spring time. Would there be any possible opportunities there? Taiyakitime
  21. Currently borrowing my friend's imported copy. Like some Canadians, I'm still not able to get my own North American release =/... Hoping to find somewhere that sells it this weekend. Tao is really fun, and I've been using her since CT. The drive moves seem tighter than what it was in CS, but I could be wrong... I've been playing quite a bit online and so maybe I'm just pressing things far too early than the game allows me to. I wonder how all of these combos will be done online @_@;;; CS2 Tao wasn't boring, in my opinion, and made her somewhat usable online against very distant players. Note the reference to 'distant' players.
  22. For me, it is quite the opposite actually. I'm from Canada, and as you can see in our last Canada Cup, ALL events were held on Xbox 360. However, some people believe that more people play BlazBlue on PS3 here, and I'm part of that group. We had a PS3 Station, setup by our great BlazBlue Host, for casuals at the very least. Other thoughts would be, it seems lately Qanba sticks are gaining popularity for their capabilities to play both consoles with little worry of input lag. This is my opinion of course, and so I could be wrong =P. Also, by at least learning stick, you could borrow other people's sticks at events- given they trust you with it, regardless of the console. If you put the price of a stick on an hourly wage of say... $10, you could gain its value easily as you'd most likely spend at least 20 hours in training mode. I'm not (or at least trying not to) convincing you to get one, but just giving some facts out that you might know already.
  23. It was back in the time I was watching Bakemonogatari, and I was loving the voice actors in the Anime. One night I felt like researching their seiyuus, and checked Hitagi Senjōgahara. Going through the list of roles in Wikipedia, I looked at the games she's done and saw that Blazblue was one of them XD. Also by coincidence, BlazBlue CT was released only a few days after the first episode of Bakemonogatari. So you could say that I started BB after finding that out, and mained Taokaka since. Taokaka's character design is amazing and fresh to me, while her character is absolutely the cutest. However, going online... Taokaka was either very disadvantaged due to netplay, or like... some people online... a D masher that should be punished, but is fortunate that it is online. So I moved to Tager as a Sub/Main to add variation to my play and to be able to punish a little easier in terms of less moves to pull out. I still played Taokaka to better learn how online works... or doesn't XD. BBCS, I moved back to focusing on Taokaka while subbing Tager. Although still feeling salty with failing to learn how to play online, I still give my best to being a friendly, try-hard-to-finish-any-combo Taokaka. For future games I plan on staying with my Tao and Tager. TaiyakiTime
  24. [insert long, random, epic story to how it all started] === Saturday November 5th Dacidbro started up a Catherine Tournament at Canada Cup ~10pm. Brackets began around 11pm 16 people got in, if I do recall correctly. Rules set by Dacidbro, ie., Initial Map Selection, Banned Maps. Casuals and Brackets were held in the Canada Cup designated room, while Finals were forced to being held at Dacid's hotel room. Gotta say, the hype was just incredible. Also not only was the Catherine Tourney was being held, it was also the end of Street Fighter 4 brackets and into International teams. More hype dog. Unfortunately, I couldn't make it to today's part of the entire event, so hopefully someone can fill what happened today. TaiyakiTime -PS being blown up in Blazblue lol, although it gives me more confidence and enthusiasm to practice harder after knowing more people in what I believed was an empty BlazBlue Community in Canada. Grats to the winners of BlazBlue, and I hope to see everyone again in one way or another for another set of matches.
  25. As quoted from Canada Cup's website, "Q: Can I just buy the venue fee and register for my games at the tournament? A: Given the tight time restrictions that we have the weekend of this year's Canada Cup, we will only be allowing players to register for the afternoon games the day of the tournament (Marvel vs Capcom 3 and SSF4: AE) The morning games must be registered for online at this time. This means if you are interested in playing SF3, BBCS2, Tekken and HDR register in advance. Circumstances permitting we may reconsider and allow registration on Friday night, but this is a big IF." Does it imply that I'm no longer given the option to register now? And I can assume based on dummyacct7's history with last year, that there is still a spectator fee in place. Going with your reply, I do want to support the scene and the community. It's just a hard pill to swallow with how everything is as of right now. We'll see, I'm more convinced to trying to make an appearence, but don't get your hopes up D=. Thanks again, TaiyakiTime
