I'm not seeing anything whatsoever about console exclusive playable characters here.

Captain N was NEVER going to happen, Simon Belmont would be cool but I think Nintendo might not like that in Smash. And Konami is doing their best to forget Castlevania exists by making Castlevania of War instead.

Oh, I wasn't planning on tiers dictating who i'm using, I was just curious what everyone though. I still plan to use the characters that interest me regardless.

I am curious to hear about the console characters overall honestly. Mostly to see if Dustloop backs up some of the more personal reports i've gotten from local friends who imported it, who say the following - Rise is shit - Ken is crazy - Adachi is also shit - Marie is really annoying but needs a lot of work to get her stuff set up, she's not that good until then

Yeah, Akuma players do it all the time. It'd be like A A B Forward C, you just need to do it quick.

I have the color pack thing from P4A, I heard that carries over. Doesn't help for these guys though?

So, you unlock Boss via arcade? My OCD will help! I like beating everyone's arcade mode once.

I'm really interested in Elphelt actually. I might have someone new i'll actually use a bunch instead of relying on my not-even-tertiary characters from GG since all the ones I liked prior got cut. She kinda reminds me of Face in Battle Fantasia, and I loved using Face (and Freed).

Awesome, i'll gladly buy both. I'll play 2002UM more though, it's just the better game to me.

I can't seem to get the Japanese netplay patch to work. I'm not sure if it's this topic that's misinformed or me though. Edit - Ahh, the old way doesn't work but a different one does.

Well, she's been out for a few months in arcades, so maybe not. If I had to guess though, i'd say lower-mid.

So, there's a console trailer out. I guess that's it, no more new characters hidden in the wings to be revealed. I'm absolutely fine with anime games, and I do think this could be an OK game, but there's not enough here for me. Pretty much all of the better, more interesting options for characters are assist-only, with some confusing omissions in regards to both characters and series. There's just nothing really here for me that's playable that I care about, as the only playable character that I like that specific character from the specific series is Miyuki. I like Kirito's fighting style, but I don't like Kirito himself, and I thought Black Bullet sucked but Rentarou was kinda decent. So, i'd have Miyuki i'd want to play, and Kirito and Rentarou that i'd possibly play begrudgingly. Not only that, the roster is depressingly small, Aquapazza has literally double the amount of playable characters.

Even better then, I won't have to worry about downloading anything. I could just wait for the next game. And, I did say that i'm only against the changes if they stick how they currently are. CP loketest =/= CP release.

I really hope they do more revising on this honestly. With the way this patch sounds, i'll never be able to play online, because I refuse to download this patch. The literal only way i'd download it as it stands would be if they announced Jubei as playable, otherwise it's a big "let's make everyone terrible" change like the garbage that was BBCSEX.

Ahh, I was just saying I felt like CSE was a giant nerf patch that made the game no longer fun, and CP was fun instead.

What's the general consensus on Ken, Adachi, and Rise so far?

There were some videos and screens up, but the videos got taken down. But, it's everyone that has been officially revealed so far, plus these: Returning Dr. Mario Falco Ganondorf Jigglypuff Mr. Game and Watch Ness R.O.B. Wario New Bowser Jr. (rides in clown copter) Dark Pit Duck Hunt Dog I believe the leaker also said that the roster wasn't fully unlocked at the time he gave that list, so there are a small number of spots possibly unspoken for. I believe he said 3-4 empty slots.

I know about the leaks, it's alright. I'm not upset about it, i'm not thrilled about it. My biggest issues are Dr Mario and Dark Pit, but I dunno if Dark Pit plays differently. Dr Mario though, if we're bringing back older clones, should have been Roy. I'm also happy with Shulk (who was going to be in, I don't think anyone doubted that) and Duck Hunt getting in too though.

So, curious about something. Are the trials for either Sho, Ken, or Junpei up yet?

I don't really have much to base it off of. And i'm still very excited for it, and think it will be one of the best Pokemon games there is (barring maybe Pokemon Snap). As a fighter though, it's already pretty damning when you say there is no high-low and you're simplifying Tekken's style for it when Tekken was already simple enough (I know many people who can't play any fighter other than Tekken because everything else is "too hard").
