Ghost Girl's name is Hisako. She has high and low counters, and a command grab. She also has a special meter, the Wrath meter, that apparently "means constant counter hits" during her Instinct (not sure how they mean this), where that meter is always full. I'm fine with starting there. I mean, it's WAAAAAY behind, but it makes sense, and beggers can't be choosers. I'm just going to be happy to play this game again. I've got several friends from DFO before that are looking to get back in, and several more people who never played that are very interested.

I can understand the Litchi and Kokonoe bits, but, why are Azrael and Rachel players complaining about this update? I didn't see anything too bad for either.

That new video introducing the classes uses the Knight theme. Is it a hint that we're starting at the Knight patch?

I'm not even talking about my characters in particular. I can deal with my characters being nerfed. It's no fun when EVERYONE is nerfed. And skipping the game is doing something, it's saving me money.

On the whole, it's mostly nerfs. I saw the changes, saw they got rid of some of the early nerfs, and got rid of buffs too. For the majority, it's nerfs. I'm not making any tier list argument here, but everyone got hit to some degree.

I really don't care if you think i'm shallow or whatever, but, I kinda just told you what the founding was, so... I'll be sure to buy the actual sequel, but making everyone pretty much worse and adding 2 more characters who also suck into the game isn't winning my money.

This would only be possible if I liked the update in some capacity. Instead, it's another denial of what i've wanted since the very first game, a truckload of nerfs for basically everyone (nerfing everything isn't fun, that's why BBCSEX was so bad), redundancy with Lambda and Nu (when Lambda isn't even good as I hear it to boot), and shoehorning a non-combatant (Celica) into the game to capitalize on fanservice when there are many more characters they could add with actual relevance (Jubei, Nine, Saya, etc). What I was holding out for this long was to see if Cajun and Mai would be announced as playable (and of course part of me still hope for Jubei DLC, but I know that's not happening because Mori hates anything good). Having an additional 2 characters would have made me get it begrudgingly and still try to get enjoyment from it. Now i'm just going to wait until the next actual sequal and just watch the new story content on Youtube or something.

Yaaaaawn...I know what i'm not getting. Wake me up when the actual sequel with some more content than a bad copy (Lambda) + Mary Sue (Celica) and a fanservice story comes out. I'll only care about this is they announce some DLC playable Jubei, otherwise i'm keeping my money for the next game (which probably still won't have Jubei).

Also, just saying, this soft ban is meaningless on 2 fronts. The ban is left up to the tournament organizer (and I severely doubt many of the organizers personally care to that extreme), and the costumes in question were rarely used in tournaments (and the negative press might cause them to make a much larger appearance now, rather than the nonexistant amount before).

You know why I like DOA? I like the counter system, and it's generally fun to play. I respect it as a game. I also realize, however, that i'm in the minority in this situation. While the counter system is a lot of fun, as is the game itself, DOA got its claim to fame from boob physics, like Mortal Kombat got its fanbase due to Fatalities even though it had other unique things, such as the sprites being digitized versions of the actors. You can make the claim that you got into DOA for whatever reason you want to (like myself, who got into it for the counters and for the Danger Zone mechanic in DOA1), but don't pretend that's the reason it got a name. Also, just saying, you probably shouldn't be making comments about sexualization of female characters in a game while using a Noel avatar. It's just going to end poorly.

To be fair, DOA IS popular because of the half naked women. It's pretty commonplace to hear people who don't like fighters say that they do like DOA for such a reason, and most people who like fighting games that play DOA can just bypass the fanservice.

Well, it's mostly American fans pushing for this. I dunno how it is in Mexico or whatever, but in the US, censorship is very rampant, especially with the female body, where society labels anyone who enjoys content of sexy women as pathetic, creepy, and less-than-an-adult. So, sexy gets seen as bad in general, as enjoying sexy stuff as seen as disgusting and shameful, and demeaning towards women by viewing them as a sex object.

Charlie was hype. I'm going to pre-order sometime soon.

I don't expect to catch up to KR. I just want to play with my friends again, and introduce new friends to it, plus play with some friends i've made since the close that were old players (Elsword was like the DFO refugee camp for a while).
