  1. new PS3 pad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBfaqKDqqaM
  2. What's going on? Oh mannnn.. More homework. Okay...I guess that's what I'm doing in a few days...
  3. Although this week my confidence has once again been destroyed. I don't look forward ot making myself look like a clown but I said I was going to go and I'm going to fucking go. Even if you everyone is seriously embarrassed for having me around.
  4. GGs that Baiken I played. I protected my color! Hand Shakes to others. I don't know what I'm doing playing this game if I can't compete versus any of you. Waste of time training up to play at NL when I just don't belong even playing Netplay and just go to look like a clown and reenforce the fact I'm not cut out to play. Confidence = 0. You guys were running circles around me - Like just pushing lots of buttons and I just don't know what to do about any of it.
  5. I'm not ready to move off this versionnnnnnnn! MY BODY IS NOT READY SOMEONE HALP PLZ. This is like having a road test and never having driven a car!
  6. I wouldn't have much to say about it on a show that I couldn't just put in writing. We've already talked about misconceptions with some terms (footsies, poking, SETPLAYWTFISIT) and spending a show reviewing terms as opposed to discussing the ideas seems boring. At the end of the day, I want people to walk away with something to go out and do or have their minds very clear about what something is and how they use it. So far I've gotten good results on that. As for Digital Watches article? A little too verbose for me - but he wants incredibly concise definitions, and it requires using paragraphs and paragraphs of words to qualify things. Not my taste academically, but he's trying to help and be clear. What I'd like to do is take the really empty terms and either dispose of them or make them meaningful to someone playing BlazBlue and trying ot push buttons to do that thing.
  7. Litchi could always do 13 Orphans for Oki - the real problem with learning to play Litchi is - aside from her very difficult combos, spacing, hitconfirming and situations - is- Well, I have a lot, but I think those are very adequate reasons for a new player to consider someone else as is. Find a simpler character that has good tools for dealing with techrolls/mash on knockdown. Just learn to do that every time you knock someone down.
  8. Of course - I'd love to have some episodes where "low tier" players can come on and chat about the game and vets can interact with them via chat, and vice versa. The important part is the show acts as a positive and structured venue for my two main audiences. The reason I haven't been able to do something like that is because I wanted the introductory and roadmap episodes to cover a solid foundation before opening up the show. Newer players will be able to see what I expect of all of my guests and have some basic ideas down. The roadmap episodes are almost done. There's three remaining (that includes this week's) and after that you'll see the show really open up to a wider set of guests and topics. What would beginners want to talk about at length, though? That's tricky. A lot of my conversations at school don't take very long, and I am afraid I'd have to stop having themes each episode.
  9. Things on the table so far for the advanced topics episode: Okizeme, Neutral (MORE), Mixups, SITUATIONS, *Utilizing* Frame data. As for the beginner mode section: I highly doubt the DL mods will want anything with my name attached to it as a website feature. Maybe someday they'll be persuaded, but LOL. I also better get my BB award. :D
  10. DacidBro has to talk about Catherine and persona, so I need to grab LK and some others.
  11. I think Mio is going to be fighting Konan - or Matoi - I think he's already dead lol
  12. Next week is Advanced topics, guys.
  13. Holy shit Kuni is my only hope in this tourney? Kuni PLZ BibleThump
  14. The Good news: If you are on the list, I can probably go more than 10 rounds against you and feel fine being bad. The Bad news: I really cannot stand making even a single mistake against any of you in a round. NOT ONE. Yeah, I'm in the tail end of the time loop. I think I need to really structure what I do with who until after the next TSB. See ya, netplay - invite only for next few weeks. The people I want know who they are now.
  15. I feel like a tranquilized bear after eating too much, but I'll be bringing a room up shorty. http://twitch.tv/starsickle
  16. I like neutral as a topic because, as LK said (we happen to like the same kinds of chars and styles), it's a large portion of our game. I'm sure after Ep 6 we'll be talking about it. I'm proud to report that my Anime Club apprentices like the show and are finding a lot of motivation to learn and are improving - they're getting hungry to try to beat me and make me use more power level. I'm also getting a lot of good conversation and improving as a result. I'd like to hear if anyone else around my level is benefiting from it. I'm calling it - the show works. Everyone can officially EAD. Neener Neener.
  17. BENIMARU 100% UPGRADED http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ksoP7jhejz4 KULA UPGRADED TO BLONDE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CB2fhGfMIbw ALSO GOOD http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvt_6152mM4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OE70ERfstS0
  18. This is a good effort, man. If I may - I'd like to provide a few pieces of input: - When it comes up - avoid hyperbole - I don't know what an "operational definition" is, but I know what a "term" is. (you use "Term" yourself!) I'd love to clear up the situations with terms (Like Priority!), but I don't want to use a lot of extensive language and vocabulary when a basic word will work. - If you're looking for consensus, you'll probably never have it 100%. The truth is that we all use terms we find useful to us. It helps the situation to clear it up with facts, and then consistent use. I appreciate that effort. Good luck - we need it. I'm not sure how much discussion will help as much as make a mess - at some point we have to be forced to just go with something. - You could use more whitespace. This seems really low-brow, but it's the simple truth of technical writing. No one wants to read, nor do people HAVE to read, but you still have ideas to get to them. Anyways - I look forward to more stuff. Please don't Infract me- I wanna help!
  19. We could discuss resets next week, if you think it fits.
  20. MITSURU IS SUCH A GOOD CHARACTER! OH MY GOD SO GOOD. I'm GREAT AT THIS GAME! :D :D :D
  21. Anyone wanna scrub a bit with me?
  22. Your own defense begins with how I suck? Hoo, boy. Should I even be posting a response? I've had several people tell me I'm not qualified for the show and that it was a fact WAY before the first episode. I did not listen to them, and I don't care what they have to say about it. Yeah, I'm a really, REALLY bad player, and I'm a REALLY BAD PERSON. If it's a problem for anyone, don't watch that terrible asshole Star-Demon's show. I really don't care that I'm unpopular, as you must know by now. I'm the most unpopular person in the community! It doesn't matter to me what you think about me. I'm not going to work very hard for anyone's approval or friendship because I don't want fake friends and I don't need the aggravation of trying to please everyone. There was also another skype chat where you went out of your way to make the same joke - once again basically calling me a psycho - and then continuously shitting on me with the others. I don't care whether or not you think I'm awful, even if it's true - that shit hasn't helped me one ounce, and it's a drag on everything. Yes, it pisses me off. Maybe I should have just told you sooner. I wish you'd stop. I'd rather be away from you guys. At the least, I don't fit in with you. That's enough for me to know to stay away from you all. As far as I can tell, all of you guys are friends and you all have similar opinions and personalities. I don't see why I should put up with people who regularly put me down over the internet to my face. You know, like you just did. I certainly don't see why I put up with over an hour of that and things like "Litchi isn't real". Stellar. Great. This is what I'm going to be conveying to people about our game? Give me a break. Super. Yes! FFS - you really think calling someone a psycho every time you encounter them is acceptable? Jesus, I know there's many types of people out there, but at some point they get real with you and you can get to learn they don't mean harm in it and know when to stop. You took the time to shit on me a few times and in this post have been making irrelevant and empty arguments to me being bad and a bad person and having no cred in order to defend *yourself*. This is pretty stupid, IMO. Why am I even posting? Jesus... Anyways, aside from the naturally off-putting way you worded it (it's like you don't even want to convince me), I'll give you the benefit that you are charismatic if not persistent. Between you and DacidBro, I'd take Dacidbro. He's consistently positive, polite, and the times I've been wrong he's been graceful. The show isn't for lolz. I don't know how many times I have to explain this. I said I'd keep it in mind as episodes change. The only biases I'm gonna hold are the things people say to me, do towards me and how I see they do towards others. So far, I'm deeply annoyed with how you've behaved in the past - while I hold out for a time when I see a more real you (because I'm fucking stupid) (your post was a start, although I think it's still pretty bad). Right now, The best I can manage for you and others is that I'll keep what Dreiko said today in mind - if you end up ruining my show or stomping on me even more than you already have, I'll take it as an indication that my time was wasted and the community has let me down and I can consider stopping the show and stop wasting my time trying to help dustloop, give everyone what they want and just stop doing anything. No Crest text, no Guides, No match videos. Nothing. TL;DR: Maybe someday. Time will tell. You have a lot of work with me to do, first. I'm sorry, did you just add ", you asshole." to the end of that post? I think you did. That's just super... I'm not gonna hide it - I'm pretty angry with all of you guys right now. What prompted the sudden turn in support and attitude? I really want to know. I'm forced to believe the tests have really begun and you're either seeing if I quit or seeing what you can get away with and how much you can push me or the show. I'm not going to post about this anymore - I hope this makes my problems clear, and I'm willing to talk with you about it, but I'm very tired of the trolling and the bullshit I catch around here. I wanted to make a serious venue for myself and others to discuss the show, and instead, much like the OG Guilty Gear Police invading Guilty Bits, I have everyone coming out of the goddamned woodwork - some positive, some trolling, some carrying pitchforks and torches trying to get their hands in the cookie jar. ' I'm going to walk away from this thread for a while. You guys have clearly gotten the better of me - YOU WIN - and it's time I wrapped this up. If anyone has anything real to say, PM me. Next episode involves advanced topics and trying to build that episode around two audiences is going to be difficult. I want suggestions for topics and questions, feel free to send me them. I'm fucking done for tonight.
  23. As for humor: This isn't the OBS! It's definitely supposed to be more like NPR. The jokes can be very funny (I can think of several times I've laughed at something funny a guest said, actually interrupting them, in fact, I lost my train of thought after CS2 Makoto joke the other night) but they come very sparingly and can be very dry. That's acceptable in this show's format and tone. If you've noticed: I step up some questions with some dry humor in mind to convey the confusion or debate behind it. CP Hakumen has been a running joke so far! As well, keep in mind the first 6 episodes of this series center on a lot of technical discussion that people feel need to be treated seriously in order to be conveyed well and understood by the audience. I have to work 3 times as hard on these episodes because of the standards I'm setting on these 6 roadmap episodes. I'm really trying to educate my Anime Club people. If we're all giggles or making technical jokes, we're doing the new players and players like myself trying to bridge the gap a disservice.
  24. So lemme clear some things up: This show is not run by committee. I care about what you guys want and need, but I know what it is I'm trying to do. I've had three good episodes so far. I'm proud of the people that stepped up so far. I believe a lot of people can step up, but some risks I'm willing to take, some not. If you think it's me being personal, well, it's the best information I have to go on, and it's produced good results. If you think this show is as boring as public radio, GOOD! That's the point! If you're here to post stupid shit, I'm reporting your posts and/or asking you to GTFO. If you have criticisms, I'll answer them. If you have wants, I'll see what i can do. However, it's pretty obvious by now I should stop wasting my time on some of you. That's a fucking shame, but it's unfortunately true. Maybe you'll step up someday are restore my trust. The rules say this is my thread, so I'm the maintainer - I'm gonna start reporting Stupid Shit and you're getting rule 10ed. This is a show in a positive and serious environment. There are tons of people who already do not qualify to appear for this show, some that can step up, and some I'd prefer to have on all the time. I don't care about your tournament wins, how long you been playing, or what. If I think your attitude sucks, I'll deal with it and find someone who wants to step up and represent the community in a way I think helps us. =ONE= place to have serious discussion about the goddamn game. That's all I want. I guess you guys just don't want it, but my common sense tells me this garbage is only 1% of the people I'm actually helping and have told me in person they like the show and are learning from it and appreciate the tone and format.
  25. Okay: I personally apologize first to NeoGio for this - This is something I'd rather talk to you personally about, because it does make me angry, but look at this situation... You have got to be trolling me or testing my patience or really being assholes to me. I don't understand why, but I feel like the confrontation has been forced and I have to make this post. So let me get this straight: You guys want me to have someone on the show who: - Has previously been on my stream and shown he has no respect for what's being done nor has the capability to not shit on things. His advice ranges from insulting to people who work hard on their character to making no sense or being outright ignorant. - Whose advice has consistently fallen into the negative and dismissive junk of currently-banned Akira-Shiro. (Who I had also given a solid chance on stream) - Who isn't funny. This isn't a comedy act, anyways. - Who doesn't seem to have much respect for me and consistently treats me offensively, if not by obligation every time he sees me or encounters me. - Who is one of the people who seems to think the show is worthless and tells me I'm not qualified to do it. GTFO of here with that shit. Why should I let him on when he does this shit? I have severe reservations against letting Neogio on my show because he's shown me he's not up to the task and his behavior is not something I want to deal with. Whatever knowledge Neo has - however good he is, I don't expect any amazing turnaround in personality or content to want to have him on a show that's trying to be serious. I feel he would only appear on the show to make it his own personal comedy hour, consistently shitting on everything brought up or trying to hammer in his one-trick idea of humor until the show is over. Waste of my time, and it's a waste of yours. He doesn't fit with show's attitude or objectives. The answer is No. I don't care if it makes the show unfunny or doesn't get me sugoi views. I'm trying to do my thing. You guys really piss me off with this shit. I'm trying to do a good job and you're spending time doing this shit instead of being engaged with the show. I'm very willing to listen to input, but I'm not gonna be jerked around or let a handful of trolls and people with nothing better to do in their lives than shit on the show waste my time or undo the work I and several other community members put in. Grow the fuck up. Help me out here, Meta-Locke...
