Nevermind. Given how practice is going I should probably just forget about playing tonight.

I might have enough power level to play a little tonight but I used lot up on FIGURING IT OUT in Chaos Code today.

I got to play this for the first time today. I picked Hermes - triangle color rules. She seems very oki and setup based, with a lot of emphasis on spacing instead of attempting to open up opponents. I had a hard time since I didn't realize her kicks were more go-to than 5a. None of us on location really checked command list or anything - it was all exploration and good old FIGURE IT OUT and DO BETTER . about 6 or 7 people were in line. To be honest picking up a game like this usully comes with this situation: Person who brought it knows a decent amount, has decent Fundamentals. I can contend but I have no clue about what buttons do what. What characters do what and if those whats are high low or what. I also don't really know about the counter/Tech (same resource?) and all sorts of other buttons. Other players I beat regularly often mash or pick much more easier characters with followups instead of combos... It makes me feel really stupid, but I picked hermes and nothing really stood out until later. It seems they got a lot more damage from blah blah followup followup Super for about 25 to 30% and I'm mostly guessing their wakeup and punishing with whip, projectile or attempting to pressure them and opening them up. Still, though, It's not damage. I also had a lot of trouble crossing people up with j.lk or j.hk It's clear I'm making solid reads but I'm not getting damage and experimenting on what I can or can't get away with, but I still lose a lot despite having better fundamentals...maybe I don't have them? Anyways, the game is not bad, although there were times where I played against cerberus and was like "wow hitboxes"

GGs - I had some food for thought while listening to match. I might be able to do better after watching a few more of these. Stream setup needs work.

It makes total sense that they were both scared, but my point was that that situation it not going to be common. The plan is: 1. Do BnBs. 2. Get final confirm to overdrive unburstable. 3. Win because they can't burst. It won't always go perfectly according to plan, but I'm very sure it's on the level of "If you aren't doing this every round you are bad at the game somehow.". Hey - I might end up wrong and maybe the mishmosh of new stuff once the game and players settle in will make the situation happen more. I would expect that with only bad players, though. Anyways, TBH I don't know what to think of Daisharin controls. Perhaps if you can play it like Time Arcana/Geneijin/Mirror Tao?

I don't mind fighting Tao. Character with lots of special cancels to change air momentum and it keeps me on my toes to react to things that are subtle. It's a really bad match for litchi, since it seems not even THE GODS can beat a Taokaka, but it helps me increase power level.

My character is the dumb easy mode bullshit. Anyways, wanna play in a little bit? I did some homework and this music is making me shounen protagonist level hype.

Dunno - It's posted someplace but it's been all noise to me - I just plan to Figure it Out and Do Better when the game comes out when it comes to that kind of stuff. I give up on homework. It's never stuck and it's never helped. 1. Save youtubes I watch 2. Wait 3. get game 4. Copy youtubes I watched 5. Figure it out 6. Do better 7. know some things but Continue losing - just accept it!

It's japan - they respect everything. Have you ever watched anime? They just let those super reversals happen out of honor or something. :P If this were America that hakumen would have mashed grab and grabbed litchi right out of Daisharin or just hotarued or pressed D. Shit he could have 5Aed her. Anything would have hit her. 90% of the time Litchis are going to hit daisharin, come up with some path or plan, and be too busy executing it and end up getting hit with some random stuff and die in that situation because it's too easy to deal with.

Yeah, that's hype when we're about to lose. That kind of thing isn't going to happen often because by the time you can Raw Overdrive like that you might have already lost. As well, I'm sure most characters have anything they can do to lock down your overdrive by using theirs on a simple confirm to death (Which should be how people SHOULD die 90% of the time in this version) or at least turning yours into a green burst

DSS: You should try to pop out stream chat. I have no problem helping when something's up, but you seemed out of the loop from what was going on and maybe having the stream chat on hand would help you if stream goes bad or if you don't know what's going on in tourney. EDIT: And get a mic.
