I don't see how dashing Houtenjin magically makes 6DD connect, if it hits too far away you can just add a dash after Zaneiga. You have plenty of time to see that the enemy is far, so it's easy to confirm. Knowing when to 2362366B is not something you should rely on IMO, since there's a much safer alternative. For maximum damage after 6DD do 66C>66>2C>jCx5>5C>Jakou>66>3C>Mizuchi. If you wanna keep the meter or just can't connect 3C because it's a bitch, replace everything after 5C with another set of jCx5>Hirentotsu. Mizuchi finisher deals 8.2k, Hirentotsu 6.8 and gives back like 60 meter. If you have about 60-70 meter before Houtejin, you can replace everything after 66C>66 with 5C>2C>Jakou>66>3C>Mizuchi for 7.7k IIRC.

Yeah but it'll be very situational from now on without the lovely 6C. Even if you can catch them after 6C>2D as they fall, the jD won't freeze. I'm sadface, since I love his aerial game (jC, j2C, jD AND THE GODDAMN AIR THROW. Finished many tight matches with it, even though I dislike throws ). I'm also anxious about the followups after Hiyoku, with all the nerfing. I've used it as an anti-air countless times, following it up with something like 5C>2C>HJC>jC>j2C>jC>jD for a free and easy 4k combo. I hope we get new paths opened with the new A Musou, to make up for the previous stuff.

So 6C will still be useful midscreen. I will miss 6C>66>5C>6C though.

I meant what are the options after air throw>[regular stuff here]>j6DD>66C>66>, other than 5C>2C>jB>jCx2>jCx5>Hirentotsu. This part was a totally different question. I meant what's the best followup when you do the regular midscreen Houtenjin combo, but the first hit of Jakou (the 6DA>4DA>7DA>Jakou one) slams the opponent into the corner, and you're too close to them so j6D won't bite. My guess is dash>3C>Jabaki>stuff, but what's the best "stuff" to put up in there? EDIT: You did asnwer my second question, didn't notice. Sorry about that.

Relauching after air grabs seems way harder than after CH 3C or Houtenjin. It feels like I get too close to them, with or without including Zaneiga. They usually tech after some of the chains, which rarely happens to me. Except for Litchi. Same with CH Hirentotsu. Sometimes. Also, what are your airgrab options after j6DD>66C>66 other than 5C>2C>air stuff? Can you replace air stuff with another Jakou>66>3C>Jabaki/Rassenga/Mizuchi? /wishful thinking. I've been wondering what you guys do when they hit on the corner after the first Jakou and they're too close to j6DD even after back jumping. I do know it includes 3C>Jabaki.
-
There is no specific requirement for 6DD on Jin. I always jump forward>6DD him though, maybe neutral or back jumping makes it harder to land on him. And no, you need three chains before Jakou to 6DD. I think you can sometimes replace 7DA with another 4DA, but it kinda screws the damage.
-
Do 2B>5C on Litchi instead.

I've tried 5C>6C after switching on Tager but it still feels weird to pull of. I guess I'll practice it a little more. Going directly for 2C on Carl would do I guess. I will test it myself sometime, but does anyone know if you get the 50 meter back? I guess not. :<
-
Do the corner Houtenjin combos not work on Tager and Carl? I can't even get the first 6C after switching side on Tager, and the 6C from Jakou>5C>6C wiffs on Carl, even if I dash before 5C, cancel it on the first hit, or both. I don't really mind it not working on Carl since he has very tiny health, you can get half of his life out without even changing sides. But Tager's 13k HP... is a different, painful story.

This new CS2 is gonna replace the old CS2 arcades, and get released for psvita as CS2+ (?), right? What about the consoles? We're gonna get ANOTHER patch, or we're getting all of the changes in BB3? I just started getting the hang of CS2 Haz, it seems dumb learning the same character from "scratch" 3 times in such a sort amount of time.

I recently downloaded all of the OP's stuff, thanks for sharing. However, I don't seem to see some of Hazama's Story Mode art. I certainly remember three: one in which he's surrounded by Ouroboros (usually right before battle), another one in which he's surrounded by the green aura shit, and last the one after he gets beat up, struggling and stuff. I think the last two are CS only. He's also in Terumi/Fedoraless mode. Any ideas where I can find the missing bases and their face parts?

I do all of them except for the character specific with a jump forward lol. That's what the notations in the first page say, what I usually see in matches, and what works for me lol. I only backjump when the opponent lands too near me because he slams on the corner. Is it easier with a neutral jump? If so then please tell me so I can start getting used to it before it's too late. D:

Why, thank you for the reply. However, I was talking about the 5C after 2C>j5Cx5 and into Jakou. I never really had trouble with the first 5C after the relaunch. But I think I got it now. Also, only its first hit has to land to properly link into Jakou? I'm having less trouble with it now that I do it that way. And I'm relieved that 3C is actually tight and it wasn't just me sucking at it. Even though what you said about how close Jakou is, seems to answer my question above about 5C hitting once or twice, since it HAS to create more distance between you and the dummy if you do the second hit, no? For your question Beening, I've had the same problem until the other day. Just hold 9 during Jakou and be patient. If you get it to land a few times but then you do 6D instead of j6D because you thought the timing was correct, try holding 9 a little later. It sounds kinda dumb, but it seems that I've memorized how long I hold 9 and not when Hazama actually jumps, so when I sometimes start holding 9 earlier, I press 6D before Haz jumps. There don't seem to be any real tips here, so I'm throwing whatever comes in mind. Just practice until your wrists go numb.

I came. And what's with all that Tokido hate? I loved him and his assaults, I rarely see people actually using them. And damn, all that damage and almost flawless combos. I enjoyed every single match, props to all 8 of them.

Obligatory double post and bump. I FINALLY got down the j6D link, and while the 66>6C link which I though would be hard came naturally from the beginning, I'm having questions in parts I didn't think I would. First, the dummy sometimes seems to be too far away for the 5C to properly connect. I thought it was because I input 2C too late, so I mashed C like crazy after 2C>jump. Should I try this or there's something else wrong? I would try it myself but my wrists hurt like hell and it's already morning lol. Lastly, how tight is the dash>3C after the second Jakou? I have absolutely no problem connecting it from almost any stuff>Jakou, but it seems kinda harder here. I still haven't connected Mizuchi after it because I only cared about the 3C since it felt weird. I hope I'll be able to land all of that shit sometime online, but my internet connection probably won't help. >,>

Stunless j7D has never occurred to me before, but I doubt it's caused by the dash. Some character specific relaunch combos do need short dashes, but it rarely causes problems. If it does, then one of the four chains will whiff for me. By the way, for some reason the first 6C occasionally whiffs on Tager, which feels kinda awkward considering his hitbox. I know I have to wait longer after Zaneiga, but I sometimes pick him up higher than most of the cast, allowing him to tech before he closes in to me, so I don't know how to react. Well, at least his Jakou loop is fun as hell. EDIT: blah, here you go, first page:
-
Would you mind explaining this a little further? Also, I don't like quoting my self, but here: I've done the first part countless times in training, and landed j6C about ten times, without continuing the combo since I wasn't prepared for it. I'm starting to get sick of it. D: Doing the whole thing is also time consuming, even if you start it up with CH 3C.
-
I use the analog too for most specials except for 623s and the likes. I don't see how this is relevant though. D:
-
Yup, I know that far and have no problem leading any of the two to the first Jakou, but then I have to 66>3C>Jabaki/Rassenga/Mizuchi if I have the meter since I suck at j6D lol.
-
Mhmm. Being a noob, I'm having trouble landing j6D consistently, and as a result, haven't been able to practice 66>6C>66>2C at all, which seems the toughest part of them combos. I've read the entire thread and you probably don't have any more tips so I won't ask for them, but how about suggesting quick ways to practice that specific part after Jakou? I read something about backthrowing Makoto, but it doesn't seem to work at all, even though I hold 9 during the whole animation and press 6D as soon as possible. I do the exact same thing with Jakou though and it doesn't work, so I won't be surprised if you tell me I'm doing something wrong. Thanks in advance. Oh, and you guys really land Zaneiga starter combos often? Everyone backs off as soon as they see me 214D, so I haven't really tried using it in an actual match. Anti air Gasshokyaku is a different story.
