Reminder: Today is Saturday Slugfest XVIII at GameClucks! This is the only monthly in North Seattle and we already have 12 people confirmed including 3 from Oregon! They are Yugo, Dogars, and Goggles. BBCP starts at 8pm with the bulk of the players arriving at 7pm or earlier. If you have my number and are nearby, feel free to text me and ask if people have started arriving for casuals. I know Tulio and Shaka are also trying to play P4 casuals as well. We're slowly starting to get things more organized in the North Seattle area. If you're in the area or willing to travel, lmk and I'll make sure to tell you when we're trying to play. I also hosted a full 8-man netplay lobby and that considered that a great success, so I'll likely do it again next Friday from 9pm - Midnight. Registration for Northwest Majors 6 also just went live. You can find it here at http://northwestmajors.com/register. BBCP and GGACR are main games and finals will take place on the main stage for both. You can find full details here: http://www.dustloop.com/forums/showthread.php?18935-Northwest-Majors-VI-May-3-4-Des-Moines-WA

Our first Battle for Seattle monthly in 3 months has concluded! Congratulations to all our winners! BBCP (16 Entrants): Wuku GGXXAC+R (10 Entrants): Veteru UMvC3 (7 Entrants): NWM|Rattana EXVSFB (8 Teams): NeoGAF|Shouta & Murder Joe BBCP's Top 4 was 1. Wuku (HZ/NU) 2. Spark (HK) 3. Murder Joe (BU/RG) 4. SonikkuMan (TG) All brackets are available at http://b4s.challonge.com/ Stream Archive (BB): http://www.twitch.tv/logichole/b/501912375?t=2m19s Stream Archive (GG): http://www.twitch.tv/logichole/b/501940365?t=50m22s The weather sucked, we just had another tournament a few weeks ago, and a lot of people ended up being unable to make it... but we were really surprised to see this many people come out! So good job, Washington, at building up our BB scene to where this is possible and to everyone who came for showing how much they enjoy this game/community! During this event, two announcements were made regarding airdashers at NWM6 - logichole will be returning as our dedicated airdashers streamer - GGXXAC+R has been added as a main game Northwest Majors 6 will be returning to Highline Community College on May 3 - 4 Despite the weather, I think some people are still trying to meet up tomorrow at the PNW House? This upcoming Saturday, February 15 will be North Seattle's turn with Saturday Slugfest XVIII at GameClucks. I hope people can make it!

Hey everyone! I wanted to thank all the players that came out to the last Gamebreakerz tournament. I was anticipating it to be a small event, but we ended up with a full 16-man bracket instead! Partial Results 1. SNOWBRINGER (KO/JI) 2. Wuku (HZ/RC/NU) 3. @wolfniggashyn (VA) 4. @huey253 (TK/JI) Stream Archive: http://www.twitch.tv/teamloz/b/498269743?t=4m Bracket: http://tloz.challonge.com/GBZ0114BB Sorry for not posting this earlier, but for the second month in a row, I immediately fell ill after a GBZ tourney ;_; We have two more tournaments coming up in both the North and South Seattle areas. - Battle for Seattle returns to GBZ on Saturday, February 8th. BBCP is at 6pm ($5), GG is at 7pm ($5), and the main event, Gundam: Extreme Vs. Full Boost is at 9pm ($1, random teams) - Saturday Slugfest XVIII at GameClucks is the week after (Saturday, February 15th) with BB at 7pm? ($5). GC Chris always offers VIP service (booze) for $5 extra I assume the PNW House will be hosting casuals like they do every Sunday. Finally, the Evo 2014 announcements happen today (Thursday) at 7pm PT on http://www.twitch.tv/iplaywinner. I'll be at this year's Evo regardless. I'll see everyone at GBZ (or if they can't make that, then Slugfest, I hope!)

This Week - Gamebreakerz is holding their monthly fighting game tournament this Saturday, January 25. BBCP is a part of the lineup and will start at 8:30pm. - There will another meet at the PNW House this Sunday. Games start at noon and go until late (most people are around from 6pm - midnight with a long break for food in the evening)

PAX Prime 2013 +R is not in the lineup of games and the new JoJo's is obviously not considering it only just came out and many are still waiting for their import copies to ship That being said, Veteru got us permission to run unofficial tournaments for both +R and JoJo's All Star Battle. We'll be holding them today (Saturday) in the console freeplay room on the 6th floor. Stop on by to sign up. We were playing +R all evening, so it was a successful Friday

It had been 3 months since our last Battle for Seattle monthly and this was easily our largest and most exciting one yet! With it being over 5 years since we last saw an update to Guilty Gear XX and the return of CvS2 to the tournament scene, there was a lot of excitement going into this month's event and matches delivered (I highly recommend checking out the replays for those two games in particular). We have also never received the out of state support that this month received, so big thanks to Kid Viper coming all the way from Texas to spend his birthday with the PNW crew, a surprise appearance by Funkdoc from Ohio, and to Oregon's R_Panda, Hellsap, Digital Watches, and Ebonic Plague for making the trip. You guys helped make this event what it was. Congratulations to our winners: Digital Watches, Kaigu, Spark, Loz, PFL.Rattana, Doomkills, and Dickson Next month's Battle for Seattle will take place on Saturday, September 7th. You can find out more or RSVP through our Facebook event page.

Tonight's the night of Battle for Seattle. This will be our first monthly with +R as well as the return of CvS2. Other games include P4A 2v2, BB, UMvC3, and AE 2012. You can check the event thread for details such as who's coming which includes Kid Viper, Digital Watches, and R_Panda, all out of state. Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Awesome! Also, I changed Yugo's tag
-
One major change has been made. Due to popular request, this Battle for Seattle will be our first one to feature Accent Core Plus R! Also, attendance exploded again ._.
-
Some changes have been made to the original post. - CvS2 has been added to the lineup! Specials thanks to Rattana for gathering interest and making this possible - It will be held on the PS2 Classics port on the PS3. You will have to be able to play on PS3 compatible sticks - Start time will be 6pm, entry is $5 - P4A is now a 2v2 teams event - Format will be Waseda-style (A1 fights B1, A2 fights B2, if tied, the winners face off) - All matches and sets will be best of 1 (each game is still 2 rounds) - Format is double-elimination - Start time is still 7pm, entry is $5 per player ($10 per team) - If players still want singles, this can be done provided we finish early enough As always, please help us spread the word. This is already looking like it will be our largest Battle for Seattle monthly yet. Let's keep it up! I hope it happens! I don't think we've properly met yet, so I'll be looking forward to it!

Details for this month's Battle for Seattle Monthly are now available on Dustloop and Facebook. This will be our first monthly in 3 months due to Northwest Majors and then scheduling conflicts. This will also be our last Guilty Gear tournament before +R's console release. I hope people can make it out. Even if you have little interest in competing, it's been awhile since we've all hung out! Evo was a lot more fun this year considering I now know more of you. I compiled a list of results and replays from Evo2013 specifically for the PNW in a number of games including P4A, GG, and BB. Good work getting things together, R_Panda! I bought Extend and will probably be making BlazBlue my next game. I'm trying to build up interest up north and it appears to be succeeding as I'm getting some interest from the KOF XIII crowd. We'll likely be holding joint kof/bb sessions up here. As always, here's an open invitation to our Facebook group, Shoryuken UW (Friday sessions returning when the quarter starts). Our group chat is mainly airdashers related, so feel free to ask for an invite as well. (Follow Sam's channel on Twitch)

Tomorrow Paul, myself, and maybe Shaka will be heading down to Travis' around 4pm for BBQ and P4 practice. Looks like pools are now finalized and people have been moved around. I'm still in C29 and now have DIE-chan on the other side of the bracket. Besides him, I recognize Enigma's Aigis and Marlinpie's Chie. Tari and Shaka now play first match in C33. Winner faces Mui.
