Updated with info for this month. There will be no Battle for Seattle this month, so this will be the main event. This will also be our first monthly that is part of the PNW Road to EVO 2013 series where players can win a sponsorship to EVO just by participating in events. Thank you so much to MarkMan for providing prizes to this unscheduled tournament. This tournament was not planned before PAX. It was only the day before this that upon seeing how many people were playing P4A in Console Freeplay and seeing how good the matches were was that Alex Valle suggested we run a tournament the next day. Veteru had always been an enforcer at previous events and was able to convince those in charge to let us run this. Logichole then brought his equipment to PAX to provide commentated replays of the matches. As always Leviathean was a huge help with the recordings. In addition to getting permission to run it, Veteru was important in setting the logistics of this along with running the bracket. I'm surprised at how good the matches were for this last minute tournament and how quickly it moved along with the limited setups we had. We had to cut off entries at a certain time due to the amount of time we had available. I can only imagine how large this tournament could've been if this was promoted ahead of PAX and was official. I know this is way too far for most of you, but if you're in the area, come on by! Saturday, September 15th: We will be holding our monthly, Saturday Slugfest III at Dante's Seattle in the U District at 6pm (doors open at Noon). I hope people can make it for this! The registration fee will increase by $10 on September 1st, so if you're planning on attending this upcoming major, I would register before then. We'll be back at GameClucks this Thursday and then next week (Thu, Aug 23), we are at Dante's Seattle in the U District. The location might work better for people and it's restaurant / bar with cheap food and drinks. Speaking of location, Gamebreakerz is adding P4U to their Tuesday tournaments.
