I feel like you may also want to take a look at Dorothy, since she's super small and has some decent zoning (with traps), but can do some up-close fighting, too. Maori is definitely the big zoner of the game, though. As for Arcana, just use Love if you don't know. Love is good for everyone. You can pick something else out later when you're more comfortable or have picked out a solid main.

Lilica. Now and forever. Do you have a preferred type? Rushdown? Zoner? Grappler? Do you prefer or hate charge attacks? Looking for a smaller character capable of dodging easier or a huge one with tons of reach? Something to get us started would help. There are 23 characters in this game (who can be customized with one of 23 move subsets each), so it would be easy for us to tell you who or what to try if we knew where to start. Either that or just pick your favorite waifu and hope for the best.

I still visit HC for AH3 discussion, but it's definitely slow/dead there most of the time. I don't know if giving Examu games a dedicated section here would be good or not, but I wouldn't be upset about seeing someone give it a shot.

Akane's sucked, but before I switched to stick, Lilica's gave me a nasty blister. It was kind of a badge of honor for a bit. That was what made me switch to stick, though. And ugh, Parace. I just hope you can still whittle her down like you could before.

A sad desperation for characters not in SC5 is all that's keeping me from deleting it. I've gotten 100% and told myself I'll never play it again, but there it is. Just sitting there. Eating HDD space. And I know that as soon as someone shows up that I want to unlock and play as, I'll touch them for 5-10 minutes, remember why the game was garbage, and then swear off it again.

Taiga's in? Officially in for day 1 on consoles. She should have always been in over someone like Kirino.

I played through some Lost Swords yesterday. Got all the way to the next-to-last set of fights in the story and then failed miserably about eight or so times. Once you get to the end, it really hurts you to not have amazing gear. And said gear isn't common. At all. Unless, of course, you pay for it. I'm not that worried about beating the story. The problem I'm seeing is getting a full set of accessories from the Master quests afterward, which are apparently even harder. Starting to think it's not even worth getting the trophies. I should probably just quit while I'm "ahead" on Lost Swords. Haven't even unlocked Taki or Ivy. Not sure I care anymore.

For the dub/disc issue, that's an old policy. As far as anyone knows, Sony doesn't enforce it anymore. At least not on PS3. And going back to the 360 size limit, they did bump it up shortly after AH3 (I'm sure Aksys would have done a digital release if they could), I think to 5GB or something. And yeah, I'm sure a physical 360 release was just too risky in terms of cost. Anywho, put in pre-orders for both PS3 and Vita yesterday. And now we play the waiting game. (EDIT: Oh, did something change with avatars? I lost transparency and general image quality on mine. Could have happened with the site redesign, but I didn't notice until now.) (EDIT2: Eh, I just re-uploaded it and it's fine. Whatever. Probably happened when the stuff got changed and moved over.)

Speaking of SCV being less than $20 new, I picked it up for $5 on PSN yesterday. Any advice on who I should play? I normally always played Talim or Kilik and uhh... Yeah. Sounds like Xiba is the Kilik replacement, but what about Talim? Anything close?

Super excited to see this. I hope we get the Vita version, too. I need both. What I heard was that for PS3 physical, Sony's old policy was still in effect where titles couldn't get physical sub-only releases. They had to have a dub for a physical release. For 360, MS wouldn't allow digital games over 2 or 2.5 GB or something like that on the marketplace. No idea what was up with physical in that case.

$10,000 seems... high. I know they said that was their average offer, but still. I don't see this one succeeding.

What a piece of garbage Lost Swords turned out to be. I was hoping maybe we could get Talim and Kilik back through it, but now I don't even want them associated with this.

Pretty much any ArcSys netcode fighter will have a good connection if you let the fight buffer during the intro. BlazBlue and Arcana Heart 3, at least. I haven't played GGX2 online.

I still mad, bro. And her eyes, shoes, and ribbon are the wrong color for a Taiga palette. I'm going to be as mad about this as possible.

Speaking of Sacred, I did actually have a friend ask me if it was magically not useless anymore and I figured they at least gave it a good Eclipse, but I couldn't find much info on it. Good to see they did actually fix it.

What's considered random BS in AH3? Other than the Luck Arcana.

The draw in the paid version is that it's in English. Not that that's worth too much in a fighting game, but clearly some people are willing to pay for it.

Hmm... Something I failed to consider. I guess we shouldn't count on ArcSys to handle it this time. Could be messy. Either way, I'd double dip on PS3 and Vita if Aksys released both in English.
