  1. I will purple grab the fuck out of you until you make it stop working netplay or not. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. No. Invuln f1-11, 11f start up and -11 on block. Air DP is pretty annoying to punish in whiff, though. She only has three. So, at least it run out. I want to play a lot of you guys without legit plat XP but I can't right now :v You play Relius, right? I've played you before a few times. Plat can jump between roles once she gets the right item. One of the most important things against a Ragna is to zone him since he shits on your normals. Against Relius, you RTSD hard. One of the beauties of Plat is that she can switch jobs at the blink of an eye. Who is the plat you were playing? Got the PSN?
  3. Ill be disappointed if she ends up like Shizuo or Kirino... Or some fusion of Shana and the latter two. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Ive gotten fucked during some drive pressure for using Magicka since Noel has silly ways to get around it. I mean that literally. It's something, though. I know what this MU is like in number until I run a looonnggg set with multiple Noel players. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I laughed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. we need to do more plat mirrors sometime.
  7. No, it isn't better. It's a million times worse. It's particularly shit in the Noel MU. What you're talking about is Happy Magicka Counter and its use is pretty limited. Watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrQ6xewL240 The move is far from useless, it's a defensive option and that's fine, but it's a pretty bad one. Bat is her best option for defense period.
  8. It's kinda hard to give you want you want due to the fact that neutral is ever changing. It isn't something with a flowchart or branches like mix-up is. Neutral is a huge variable that revolves around, you, your character and your opponent and their own character along with both of your tendencies and reactions. Since it isn't something set in stone (mix up isn't either, but there's something as simple as 'If your opponent is too respectful, go for throws/high/lows) it's hard to teach or breakdown because we can't *see* what's happening in your neutral. If we could see some of your replays, we could give you tips. We could tell you what the other guy is doing. But neutral is normally one of the harder things to master in fighting games because it's so freeform. Where one Hazama could decide to space you with chains repeatedly from 3/4th of the screen, another could easily decides to simply rush you down with staggers, stance mix-ups and cross-ups. As a Platinum player, my neutral involves trying to get my opponent to make any single mistakes I can take advantage of. That's exactly what you're looking for most of the time in neutral. For someone to overextend themselves or do something punishable in any way and converting off of it to put yourself into advantage.
  9. I main platinum items Treasure chests cat hammer missiles subs: hammer, bombs, pan
  10. Was this always possible? http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm23553742
  11. That's also -1 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I dunno about going that far, but fuck his chains. They're one of the most obnoxious things in this game to me. I'm waiting for BBCP to get a PC release so I can mod platinums items into Ragna. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I feel the same about Ouroburos meter 75% of the time. I swear that monkey never runs out of chains.
  14. let's talk about how to make koko "balanced" according to dustloop My suggestions: Add SMP to 6B and 6[A] Add proration to Black Hole and remove the fuckload of invuln on the super Put a bomb in the stick of all her players that goes off when the announcer says her name. why can I not find the function to delete posts
  15. Koko is about as crippled as a Kenyan
  16. People honestly played my Koko more than they did my platinum.
  17. I play Platinum and niggas get super tight at cat hammer and play two games with me and leave :V
  18. Only a bad platinum telegraphs her entire gameplan with what item she has. I don't know what level plat players you're facing. But, yeah. I don't feel like Plat is insanely hard to deal with for Noel. She takes risks just defending herself and your RTSD power is stronger then hers is for the most part. Learning how to deal with items is optimal and makes your life a million times easier. Any questions about particular items, just read this, or ask me directly.
  19. Yeah, it gets annoying when your partner leaves and you have to wait for someone else. I like the idea of straight 3v3 matches like in tournaments myself. I think EX had that mode, right?
  20. pet peeve #1: people somehow rage quitting at the speed of light. I've had multiple people (mostly ranked :v) like tear the ethernet cord from their PS3. There was this time I was playing this ragna with like 47/48 won matches. Had him in the corner, ate his burst for the kill and suddenly he was gone. pet peeve #2: Ranked Noels nuff said Pet peeve #3: Someone walking up and talking my spot with a guy I have a 4 bar with when they have a 0 bar or something.
  21. Heartcar is -24. If you have balls, you can air grab her out of it, AA her out of it. I don't know 6C will work, I'd suggest you go into training mode and see yourself. The key to countering heartcar is to just block it. Dash barrier is a great tool against plats who like to random heartcar running opponents. I do it against Terumi all the time since they like to friggin hold forward from fullscreen. Block it an punish it for every drop of damage you can squeeze. Cat hammer is just one of those things you have to deal with. I don't know if I recommend 4D'ing it since she can just as easily run up and grab. The only time I do 5D cat hammer is when I'm baiting things at max range personally since it's not an overhead.
  22. The jack-in-the-box is free as hell. It *does* disappear when she gets hit unless it's treasure chests. Some characters can literally run past it with no problems. It has no really vertical height and only acts as a way to say "This space is off-limits". I hate this item personally, but it has it's uses. Platinum isn't great in Noel's pressure in the least. Noel has so much shit that just negates Platinum's counter in general that I don't even bother using it during most D strings. d.6D? the low can low-profile Platinum's bat. Overall this feels like a momentum based MU since both chars have shit defense options but can RTSD just fine. I need more xp for this MU so I can figure out the finer details, but here's a set for you to watch. I don't like this platinum player, but it's something. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQPb-22s1tk
  23. I don't have a shitload of XP with this Match-ups because finding Carl's is harder for me than finding other Plat players. I don't know exactly whose favor this MU is in, but Plat is shit under pressure, which means that if you manage to sandwich her or get her in the corner, she's goes through *hell* to get out of that situation. Since I find Carl's jumping a lot in tandem with Nirvana pressure, It's not even hard to accidentally activate the counter using nirvana and punishing there. On top of that, it's not hard for Carl to fucking run from Platinum the entire match. Nirvana is literally a wall that can eat whatever is throw at her. Neutral actually feels like Carl's strong strength in this MU because of the presence of Nirvana. She tanks missiles, bombs, cat hammer, you name it. So, yeah. From personal experience, catching a running carl is a motherfucker, but once you get him in the corner, there's no reason to let him out. If anyone wants to run some sets with me at a later date so I can get a better grasp of this MU, let me know,
  24. Could you give me some details as to what she was doing and what you think you lost to? And who was the player? As for rules of thumb against Platinum....there are actually many. Heartcar is punishable by a fucktons. It's -24. If someone is spamming heartcar midscreen, instead of pressing buttons or trying to gustaff in neutral, sometimes just block and see what happens. Punish that shit when blocked and make it hurt as much as possible. TK Swallow moon is super prone to mashing, so don't be afraid to press buttons. Her blockstrings end at 3C. If she's repeatedly ending blockstrings in 3C into bubble, IB 3c and punish. ALWAYS WATCH HER ITEMS Watching her items is extremely important if you want to know what each item does, read this. This'll give you a pretty detailed breakdown on Platinum. As for fighting Platinum, you have better normals than she does. She's bad underpressure even though you pressure isn't amazing. If she's using the counter a lot, make sure you bait it and punish fully. Like so: Here Eat projectiles if you can and shoot them back at her.
