  4. It depends on the person. For me it's safe. You have to have mentally trained yourself to not hit throw. It's our first reaction to throw when we see players that close to you, so no one can blame people for falling for it. It's just an unconditional reaction to attempt to throw back. With a pink throw, you can just react to it as normal, the big window of the tech allows you to do so. React to a throw, don't anticipate it...just like I block low and react to overheads. Never guess block or anticipate. Because of this, I can now block bang's overhead online :3
  5. That can be so difficult on pad unfortunately. I've just conditioned myself not to press buttons, and to react to a green throw within the last few frames of the window to tech. Obviously, this isn't 100%, but i do break a lot of throws though. Beats mashing throw and getting hit with a CH 6B into: Burst bait, or 5K.
  6. I actually don't like Jin mirrors..but if I have to fight another Jin, I will. Luckily I can end most of my combos in 3C > 214C. It's basically a game of who has better mix up options, who has more experience. I don't like blocking against Jin..honestly.

  11. But that can be said about anything. Everything we do in the game is a risk, it's about knowing your opponent and doing things at the right time. What happens when you IB 2A and punish Ragna before his 6B? What happens when you DP Ragna before DID after the 5A IAD. Everything is a risk. Yet things are to be used sparingly..with caution and experience against specific people. Know the player. That is of utmost importance.
  12. Strictly speaking for Ragna vs Ragna, you can punish a 2C (w) > 5B with a dash 5B. That's only if you can react to the 2C whiff. It's not too difficult to react to once you're used to it. May even beat a 5A after a whiffed 2C.
  13. I'd rather they had removed Ragna's than jin's to be honest, I feel so limited after a blocked 2C with Jin. Also nice stuff Moy, can't really think of anything else to add. Hit all the main points.

I don't know how many more counter hit Deadspikes I'm gonna get for you to realise this. You ALWAYS use some kind of drive after my DS with Noel. You should know this but I'll tell you anyway..I'll just use DS again. Haven't you learnt this yet? eQualz nice stuff today. Sorry I only played for a while, had to go.
  15. Having said that, I wouldn't go about using it TOO much. Believe it or not, I've actually be poked out of the 5C > 2C gatling on IB..and it's not like 5C is difficult to IB. We need that 2C > 5C Gatling back. Also, hitting a big hitbox with 2D sounds legit, but if it so happens that the 2D is blocked at that distance, what would people usually do? Because I just block after because it's not too good of a pressure tool, and can even put you on the defensive.
  16. Or sometimes people just use it to reset pressure. It's just a bonus if we get a counter hit from people mashing buttons.

  18. I don't think we'd be able to do any SMP combos outside Blood Kain to be honest, because ragna doesn't have any moves that slide, or bounce, like Plat, that we could keep doing without heat. Now in Blood Kain, SMP combos will be limited anyway, as it is dependant on the duration of Blood Kain. I don't think Ragna will be seeing anything over 11K (Maybe 10K) anytime soon. Funny combo though, i'd definitely do that in a tournament if i had a chance ;p
  19. Only E can pull that shit off and make it look legit. I've never once tried to punish something with a full screen Ice car. Jin's j.B is what makes me want to play CT. I should go back to that game for some fun though.

  21. Is there way to beat Arakune's back feint thing on his wake up? I mean, I MashThat2A on his wake up, and he still manages to escape..
  22. Just to add to the 2A/5A green throw trick: If you have conditioned your opponent enough to throw back after your 2A/5A, or you are playing a high level player that expects it, just do 2A, 2C instead of a green throw, to catch a fatal.

  24. If 7k meterless is possible, it's looking like a tager or Rachel specific thing. I find it hard enough to raise combo damage by less than 100 when optimising, let alone 200, like tong said. The trick would be to use the first 22C early in the fatal combo..to make full use of the bonus proration.
  25. I think tong Is right. I can only break 7K with 2 gold bursts.
