[CSE] PSN Match Finder/GG Thread
dioxideUniversa replied to Amadeus46Art's topic in BlazBlue Online Play
you have no life for knowing how to deal with a sometimes horribly predictable character -
is 6k required to be strong? spark was getting 4.8k midscreen off 3c with 4 stars without the juggles
-
his OD is silly but i also think some of his top-end damaged is distributed strangely. getting more damage from 3c than 5c seems fishy

i wouldn't say it's necessarily that difficult. hakumen does have the capability to control the matchup if he gains momentum (which is easier for him to do than tager in the lambda matchup for certain,) but tao has a lot more freedom due to her speed and mobility to play safe and seek cracks to capitalize on -

hakumen's giant hitboxes are generally not the safest to use at neutral in that matchup as they do not match tao's speed at all -
ahh, shit. i use that late enma not infrequently :l I noticed you dropped Hotaru > j.C > 5c in the corner a lot, any thoughts on that? Did you feel how you had to operate in neutral due to some of the combo path changes was different? I haven't seen a lot of your matches but I got the impression that you were using a different strategy at neutral than in CS2 or CSE.
-
that's apparent but i assume he had some time to get some hands on in terms of the combo grind outside of the tourney they held, hence asking about his impressions of it maybe not tho, it wouldn't be out of the question as i'm sure it was a busy setting

@Spark: How execution heavy are some of CP's BnBs? I noticed you using a lot of abridged combos after looking through some of the Anime Expo footage (especially the j.2a > jc > falling j.2c > 5a juggles?) re astral: what is there even to mash, it's red beat and you can't burst throws

it's frame 1, so i don't see why it wouldn't unless her UB is like 10 frames meaty -

the only real frame 1 response to an UB hakumen has is shippu (or I guess burst.) other than not teching into meaty UBs, but yes -
probably just general, it's not necessarily video content for the purposes of this thread (that and CSE videos don't really happen anymore)

is accusations of mashing the greatest insult we have in this community -
how do i walked and crouched (seriously)

most of the people i can play online with i have a gross connection with which makes me resort to tolerating some level of grossness when i do play edit: also here with information this time can confirm that i have seen 6B AA get comboed out of. also RC 6b also works and does respectable enough damage to make it viable in a star-surplus'd pinch
-
i want 6B > 2c i already do this in cse and it gets me in trouble

what was your first post ever, mac -
with mixed feelings, i will have a greatly reduced presence from here on out. there are certain aspects about the meetups / the scene in general that i'm really not all that comfortable with, and while i offer no apologies for this, at the same time i do not feel it's reasonably realistic to expect everyone around me to accomodate those needs. i feel a sense that i am not really compatible, and trying to force it is going to be more trouble than my worth to the scene which, due to generalized anxiety and other troubles in my life, i do not have the mental or emotional fortitude to go on with. thank you to those who have ever played matches with me and those who have respected and supported me. in some ways i feel terribly lucky, and it makes the decision very difficult (such that i have ideated on it many times, but never committed.) i will miss having people to play offline with. netplay is still "fuck that" status (though it's probably where i'm going if i still want to play.) i'm sorry i won't be around to give people OD combo angst whenever CP hits.

[CSE] Hakumen Q & A: New players check here first

it's a 20 frame startup DP, meaty 2a only has up to 11 frames recovery -

hop 2a > 5a instead of hop 5a can help you salvage these against most characters (but not against characters like noel where the 2a is required) -

do not let tao get a life lead so zoning does not happen do not let tao get away once you establish momentum do not push slow and unnecessarily risky buttons (a lot of them in this matchup compared to others) -

gurren is +1, repeats pressure for 1 star, catches hasty backdashes into a cheap combo, and if they are disrespecting the +1 or they IB'ed it can special cancel into renka for a frame trap (which also catches backdashes,) kishuu into strike/throw mixup or TRM, zantetsu into overhead etc. tl;dr use it -

tl;dr: yes they switched the meter gain to a successful catch, from the previous successful attack countering a projectile gives you 1 star even if you parried it from full screen. if there's enough frames on the projectile to parry three times, then you get three stars as for counter's usefulness in general, i do not see it get blocked too often when it does get used in JP videos
