  1. Yes, I agree about the battle system though. It's similar to Till the End of time's battle system, well I'm sure they're all close. I actually got as far as I did in SO4 because of the battle system. Amazing what a battle system can do for a story.
  2. Lol, I feel you man. OMG Reimi sooo likes Edge but she's being so tsundere about it in the corniest, uncutest, most obvious way about it. And Edge, oh Edge, how oblivious you are my friend. She could probably tell it to him to his face and he'd swear she was speaking to the invisible guy behind him and then it'll be more cringing and more cliches.
  3. I don't think the battle system is horrible, just the characters. Think of every overdone JRPG, anime, manga, w.e archetype/stereotype you can think of, they basically just throw them all into that game and hope you miss the cringing. Could just be the voice actors though. Probably should have gotten it in japanese... not sure if that's included or not.
  4. I just know Yuna wore hot pants. That's about all I know of the plot for that game.
  5. Hiyo Pk, we're talking about worst games we've ever play which transformed into some semblance of games we've liked. X-2's battle system was something like a class system right? I think I remember the costume changes. I like what they're saying about XIII-2. It might be the redemption in the FF series that Square needs. I'm hoping it is. Looks like I'll spam youtube for some gameplay trailers and such.
  6. Haha, gotta love those main characters that just enjoy whining about every little thing. I played that game a bit but didn't get very far. Kind of reminds me of Luke in Abyss, but at least he cut his hair as a sign of reform. Character transformation always begins when you cut your hair :P
  7. Lol, yeah... don't remind me of X-2, but I played it and found it kind of interesting. So I'll be getting XIII-2 day one, because well, I'm curious how they managed to make that story make sense. I was still baffled at the end of it, so I'm curious what's going down. To me Snow was like... there, I don't know, he was wasn't he? I liked the spear girl a lot, and Lightning since they seemed more aware of everything, while everyone else was sorta in the loop. Did you use the spear chick, whose name escapes me, as your lead, her special thingy is pretty awesome.
  8. I played a bit of Tales of Innocence and understand what you mean by that. It actually turned me off from the game, though I found the story alright, might be a random good game if I can trudge through. FF12 was like, interesting for me. I liked that I could just set up my party to play while I watched TV, it was hilarious. I was kind of expecting you to put FF13 up there though. So many people dislike that game, but for whatever reason, I loved it, with the exception of Mr. Rubber Fro and Cocktease. @ Tofurr, you're a lucky person to have missed out on it. Sadly, I borrowed it from my friend, and cringed for forty days and forty nights. I don't even understand how any of that game happened. It ruins sentences!
  9. I played Lost Odyssey and Magna Carta and yeah, those weren't pretty good games haha. The one thing Lost Odyssey had going for it though was those little stories about the MC's life. I liked those. I never played Magna Carta, but I did play Magna Carta 2, I figure it's the same. Pretty lame and boring and their gestures were kinda scary. I'm surprised Blue Dragon isn't apart of that list. Seriously... you fought crap in that game haha.
  10. Eternal Sonata may not have been the best RPG in the world. But I loved the music. Chopin ftw. I got an A in music appreciation class because of that guy!
  11. why u gotta break hearts tofurr? *expects some sort of image post as a response* I got you friend!
  12. Hmm, I always get the games in that series mixed up. Not sure if it was Unlimited or Romancing Saga. It was the one on PS2. Well, suffice to say, it sucks that that was the first of the series that I played. It turned me off anything with Saga in its name lol.
  13. With Unlimited Saga, it was more like you play it, then nothing makes sense. It's so weirdly bizarre, not in the Persona, Disgaea, anything SMT kind of way, the mechanics were super bad. It was basically a challenge to even make your characters attack or use an item. Kind of funny. I want to go back and play it to see why I loathe that game so much. It's a good thing I still have my PS2, which I play more than my xbox 360.
  14. Hmm, yeah FF8 was one of those kinds of games for me. I liked the beginning, didn't quite like the end. It felt thrown together like a patchwork pumpernickel and pecan pie. Funny thing, I actually completed all of Tales of Legendia (it had a pointless post-game story), but it made me cringe so much I don't even know why I did it and for what purpose. But, for games I hated almost immediately, Unlimited Saga was pretty bad.
  15. I'm bored. So let's play what's the worst RPG(or game) you've ever played. I'll go first. Tales of Legendia.
  16. Oh sweet. I don't think I've played beyond Soul Caliber 2 haha. But that sounds really cool. As far as BB went, yeah I can't see a way to make weapons customizable since the weapons are who the characters are. Though, for someone like Jin, maybe like give him stronger swords at the cost of range, things like that. Lambda's drive swords become pizza slices or something random haha. But yes, replay channel is something I've wanted in BB for awhile though. Soon, I hope!
  17. Considering that the reviews of the PC version tanked compared to the console version, I see your point. Casual friendly, yeah, I mean, I'd only want to collect guns and points haha. Though sometimes I wonder how a fighting game would fare with such customization in that you can buy weapons, perks, outfits for your characters and things like that with an in-game currency. Though a fun feature for BB would be a replay channel, make it easier to find good replays, and also the ability to upload player match replays.
  18. Yeah, I loved that in like Socom 2, when I died about to throw a grenade, it'd drop and I'd claim a kill. Martyrdom was probably more potent on players like me, who never played the game before and was trying it out. Then you realize everyone has a hidden grenade they auto explodes when they die. Oh and Noobtubing, the best in Socom 2 was the M60E3, everyone used that thing. Well people who didn't know how to play or wanted a free kill. This was before Socom 2 became the glitch, hack fiesta it is now. I forgot what guns I used. On terrorists it was usually the M14, also a noob spray and pray type, but terrorists had crap guns in that game so it didn't matter. The seals were loaded with such good weaponry it was stupid, but I digress. Maybe I should get back into shooters. I mean I used to hate fighting games but now I love them, perhaps I should give Call of Duty a chance, since all my friends are talking about it.
  19. See the primed one makes sense. It was one of the earlier CoD 4 games I believe. I'm not into the series, but I rented it for awhile to see what the hype was about, and it happened quite frequently. I think now they have that Last Stand thing to replace it.
  20. The cool thing is in the older Call of Duty games. When you died you dropped a grenade. You didn't have to do anything and you'd get a kill or two, how sick is that. It's like, you got shot in the head, but as you did you took the liberty to remove the pin in your grenade. I think Halo has more logic about it than CoD.
  21. But I wanted to know what these "Lumin Tactics" were. Seemed like some legit, Gauntlet Divider Rapid Carnage Scissors business.
  22. That's why you don't bring a gun to a punch fight. Truthfully, in Halo 3, I only used melee. It was pretty fun. Probably why I couldn't get into Halo Reach, since the melee wasn't as deadly. Aside from Halo and Socom 2, I'm not much of a fan of shooters.
  23. I want to play your µ as well, but we live the farthest possible distances away.
  24. I have a question. I have always wondered how someone overcomes a threshold in a game like this. For instance, say you're an intermediate player, almost good enough to compete in tournaments, and when you do make that jump you lose consistently. How would a person overcome that jump in skill level? To me, it seems that it would be more than practice, more like a deeper understanding of the meta game, but how would one grasp something like that after barely reaching intermediate level. Sorry if my question is a bit confusing. But, LK, how did you handle that? No matter how incredibly good a person is, I still think there was a time when they weren't as good. I feel that I could practice and practice and practice, however I don't see an increase in skill. If I wanted to at least make a solid showing at a tournament, what should I do?
  25. Did you just put the challenge visor on? To answer your question, I can't get online because my internet is so horrible in this dorm fun times, especially near finals time, everyone is on doing this or that. I'll tell you how bad it is, it takes about twenty seconds for me to load a page. Now imagine that in Blazblue...pretty horrifying right? It's like I'm on dial-up or something. That aside, I'll probably start playing some more next week, when I get back home. Your challenge has been accepted. Not knocking your Ragna or anything, I just face so many of those guys, and like, who even plays Mu kind of situation. It's similar to Arakune, I used to see soooo many of those guys, now I only see... they exist right?
