  1. You likely are not delaying the JB enough. That's how most people who mess it up end up messing it up. Also, you have to dash a bit before you jump and do the j4B.
  2. Online play under optimal condition would render the tactic a failure. Just ponder the reason why you only do the DP spam during lag spikes rather than all the time. That reason is the one and the same which makes it into a netplay tactic.
  3. Ramlethal was how I always read it, I wasn't even aware of it being read differently by others. Good to know I got it right though! lol I mean the "lethal" part in the name made sense to me as part of a GG char name. It fits, you know.
  4. I was speaking poison damage. The nail itself is subject to normal damage proration. Raw it does 300 but by the time you actually use it mid-combo it won't do much at all.
  5. Yes, part of BS as a mechanic is being able to use it after someone parried you.
  6. Yeah, it'd be nice if it was cumulative though. Oh and in case you didn't know, having the poison fully run out causes approximately 800 damage.
  7. Wait, what's wrong with danger time only combos? That prospect is the best part of the mechanic in my eyes lol. Prior-impossible combos becoming possible is the stuff of dreams. As for hellfire mode, I don't feel I fully understand it. I know it makes super do more damage and allows you to cancel into IK-activation. I don't know if it does anything else. I don't know if it makes supers have various properties, for example, in addition to more damage. Like, you mention HF-only combos. What about HF makes the combos possible exaclty?
  8. It seems pretty innocuous and it allows for unique combos (Slayer's undertow becomes especially dangerous in that time, for example) so I like it as a thematic notion. How it'd feel to have it occur as I play, well, i can't speak of that since I've not actually played the game. Maybe someone who has can talk of it, I honestly only really care about those kinds of accounts, the rest is pure speculation. We need Elvenshadow to the rescue!
  9. I think people just don't know the air transform combos yet or something. That or the combo is too prorated so it won't kill either way.
  10. So wait, how exactly do they prevent you form TKing it? Does it have like a certain number of frames after a jump that the move is unusable or something? I don't recall a move with a 214 input not being tk-able before in anything I've played, I don't think lol.
  11. I doubt they'll re-balance the game at all till the console release. It seems quite well balanced too.

  13. Eh, you don't need to get damage off of DPs lol. Kagura getting 3k with super doesn't mean much. Makoto Mu Jin (normal hit) Azrael Bullet...everyone not Ragna gets less damage than Kagura from their DPs and Ragna/Plat need the corner to get theirs.
  14. What people who are good do in this situation is simply not tech on purpose and then break the purple grab. It's really not hard to tech a purple grab that has 19 additional frames of start-up.
  15. You can regular RC them already. The combos are there, they just cost more meter.
  16. Hoo, wait, realization. You can 5C>6B. Maybe the new fatal loop will be 5B 5C 6B 665B>repeat. I don't know if it'd be corner specific but it should be possible with what we know so far.
  17. Honestly, static DI timing is a good thing since it allows you to get a better feel for the duration of it and plan accordingly. I prefer to know when I'm gonna run out and make it so I'm not open for a big punish than to have an extra 2 seconds of DI. It seems it doesn't run out at all while you're airborn or in the middle of executing a move anyhow so if you jump into the air ender at the 9.9 second mark you can artificially prolong it some. edit to avoid double posting: http://youtu.be/1-IhPtvnNK0?t=8m25s This seems like a very interesting crossup setup. What happens is the 6P bounces em off the wall enough so that even 6H doesn't push them all the way back and there's a little gap allowing that IAD jK to fit in, very good. Doesn't seem to sacrifice much damage either.

  19. The Jin matchup was something like CP>CS2>EX>CS1 as far as how bad Bang had it. The issue in this version specifically is that Jin gets easier and more significant rewards out of his defensive options so the matchup devolves into a big game of neutral with Bang never wanting to be on the defensive since he lacks Jin's defensive options which would mean bad things. You need to play the player a lot when you fight Jin. Baiting and punishing stuff is a must have in this matchup than in most other CP matchups. This is why I prefer fighting some of the on-paper worse matchups more. At least I feel like I have a chance once I lock them down in pressure. With Jin you can never just switch your mind entirely to "assault mode", you must always have a back door approach due to his multiple and very good defensive tools.
  20. I think having a new combo thread in the top post which links to the old one would be the best way to go. We can cherrypick a few useful things from it as well if they keep applying in the new version and repost them.
  21. Slayer seems mid really. Not weak, not exceptionally strong either. I think the removal of force break hurts him more than everyone else in the Xrd cast.

  24. Yeah the combo now seems to be something like 3C>2B>6b>665B>5C>6A>6C>J22A>JC>665B>JC>IADJC>J2C>J236A>stuff. You should be able to add CT in there too, it will be interesting either way. Hehe. That's not something a man defines, that's something a man feels once he's done being Baing and is overcome with awesomeness. Think the feeling of landing a frkz shipuugeki reset or astralling a full screen spark bolt or baiting bursts with web nails or daifunkaing through anything and everything. That kinda stuff.
