I get a lot of "You should press more buttons", "Be more aggressive", and "Just do it", but I a lot of times when I do this, I just end up running into to stuff, yet it seems like everyone else can herpaderp just fine. I don't understand. Should I just be like "I'm gonna do *Insert attack here* and it's gonna work.", or is there really a way to not so much randomly press buttons, but just go in and disregard what might happen?

Alrite so to make this look neater, my findings are.... On Tao: Slightly delay the 2C after 6B then 5C right afterwards. (You can 66B after BE and it doesn't matter) On Ragna: Switch 2C and 5C after doing a 66B. still need to delay (BE>66B>delayed 5C>2C>5D>Etc.) Or Delay the 2C till he is almost considered grounded (Easier). Don't do 66B for this, it'll miss. On Carl: Delay the 2C to where Carl is almost flat on the ground after 6B then 5C blah blah. Don't 66B for this either.

GGs to StayFree. I think one good day in training mode (like camp that shit and have some hardcore training) and playing more people, and I'll be in there with Bang. Nails I think I get a little better at using. Bumpers I forgot you either do B and D together or A and C. Main problems to me 1) Movement is a must, which is why I think I couldn't find good place to jump in often. Found myself sitting like a rock too many times. 2) Muscle memory is still lacking, but tbh I have been slacking on training. 3) Use overheads more. Every time I want to do it I would always forget I could do 5B > 5C or 5A > 6B(RC)>stuff. Probably lack of muscle memory Dodged some astrals.....and ate some too Overall, I'm pleased with what I did despite lack of recent training.

Yeah, I guess I just felt like it could be more clear as to what your opponent wants to do most of the time, so you counter/punish those actions by being in the right place and knowing what to expect.

I think we should have a Gameplan section for each matchup along with what we can punish. VR-Raiden you think you could copy pasta this to all your posts with the punishes? This way we know what moves beat what from the start, things we dodge from afar (if they have something like that), any particular moves we should do up close, and moves that are the basis of the opponents gameplan and how we should deal with them. It's just not worth it to chase him imo. If you think he backdashes too much then go for it, but if you eat a combo that's on you. You can use throws and get about 3.5k in the corner. 6B is of course good cause it lets you combo into 6C on someone crouching (6B>5C>6C>stuff) and get 4k. Gauntlet Hades gets a bit over 3k in the corner. and if you hit him with something random you can either do Inferno Divider wallbounce combos or combo into Hell's Fang > Tsuika (The followup after Hell's Fang) and then Rapid into more stuff (depends on what move you started with and moves before Hell's Fang > Tsuika) Use a combination of your DP, barrier to push him away, backdashing away, and of course good blocking. you can can just space yourself so he cant throw you out of your 6B, but don't go too far or you wont be able to hit with both hits of 6C. You can also time it where he wont have time to wakeup throw you (do a "meaty" attack on his wakeup). Or just frame trap him like Kayeff said. Kay already told you about 2B, so yeah. Just play smart, knock him into the corner, and go from there.

Do not feel like you have to immediately go after him and chase the backdash. Noel vs Ragna is pretty lame matchup to me. You are mostly waiting for her to do something dumb and punish. I personally start with a slightly delayed 2B. it beats her 3C and will stop her if she just runs at you. also it recovers much faster if it whiffs compared to 5C making it a safer option. 6A them. You said it yourself, you can combo him afterwards. Don't pass up free damage (read below though). Plus if he ended up barrier blocking you would be fucked if you did C ID. This is true. you can't just use 6A and win. If you block the j.D, you get a free punish though. You can DP him out of his overhead (And damn near everything else in the game) so if you feel like he's gonna do an overhead, or if you just don't want him near you DP him. He'll eventually start to bait it and that's when you just 2A and start your own pressure/get out of there. More or less you want them scared so you can get out of pressure just with fear of the DP, not even having to use it. Throws you just have to learn how to tech them. Not much I can do about that. Try to notice patterns both for when he overheads and throws. You'll react better when you anticipate them coming. Get balls deep on that mofo lol. Seriously, you just need to be closer to him. If possible try to use 5B > 5C > D ID (623D) to combo midscreen cause you get to stay close and mix him up.

Tager got a lot better. He builds meter out the ass and gets more damage along with it. That and he always has some way to reset or get Gadget Finger and do more stuff now. BB = the game where everyone hates everyone no matter what their character already has. Tsubaki is the only bad character I really see. Makoto I haven't really seen lately, but I'm sure dem nerfs were well deserved. If you aren't Tsubaki or Makoto, you can't stay salty at everything.
